Again, I don't understand the complaints about the patch, at least offline wise. The game plays better, to me, and is now a real b-ball challenge because now the CPU plays with purpose. I get more steals, now, can back down the CPU when I want, the block button serving as a hands in face and block attempt button, less ridiculous calls in favor of the CPU and is now more balanced (pending your sliders). The goaltend and CPU halfcourt chucks when bodied issues aside, the patch is great but one thing I did notice is that after my buckets, the cutscenes don't work anymore. They appear to start for literally a millisecond, if I'm paying attention to be able to see even that bit of nothing. I miss that especially when hitting 3 bombs and seeing the emotion of the player who shot it. I miss it even more so when playing a home game with the crowd going wild and the announcer and his excitement.

Wait, actually, in the first few days of release, I DID experience a freezing at the end of a game with a few seconds left and my Nets up by 2. Cleveland called a timeout and when I hit the X button to bypass the cutscreen, the game froze. I was mad because it would have been my first win in a trillion tries on All-Star. Lol. Well, maybe not a trillion but...

I'm with you Trey. I played another couple games today and it was great. No issues to speak of. I think rebounding has been improved a ton.

Been playing Dynamic Season games (mostly with Dallas) and been having a blast. I played Boston vs. Minnesota today and predictability won comfortably, but it was still fun and well played by the CPU. Flynn was extremely aggressive early on, but cooled and finished with 15.

Man......

I don't know what happened after I downloaded the patch but I CAN NOT play an online game anymore. After we select teams...........it just freezes in the hangar !!!

Pre patch............I had ZERO problems with freezing.

I dont know what to do anymore.....

I really don't want to have to put the game on the shelf until the 2nd patch comes out.

Update: I know can no longer start an offline game either ??? Either the game freezes or just sits in the hangar with the word "loading" flashing ???

Worst.......

yea i started a lakers dynasty last night. got allthe way to the 3rd quarter......bam, the game freezes! how can i prevent freezes? Do i have to clear my cache? Does anybody have any tips on drawingmoreuser fouls? im sick of playing good D, only to have my player sucked in animation that causes a foul....Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

Do you have replays?
You must to delete it.
At Hangar your replays are showed on the Gym Screens.
Althougt not all replays can be the cause, i had deleted all replays and now it is not frozen,
you must to try this.

Probably my biggest complaint with the game at this point. This really needs to be removed, the CPU gets too many bail out/jump into the defender fouls called. The user needs to get more rewarded for playing tough D.

It's esp frustrating if I'm playing someone like CP3 or Rondo and I'm really sagging off trying to make them jump shooters and I do a great job of cutting off their angles only to have that bad animation and the CPU getting a whistle.

I FOUND THE PROBLEM !!!!!!!!!

It was that stupid ESPN radio feed.......I spent all day thinking what I had changed since last week...then it popped into my head. I switched off the espn radio feed last thursday....so I switched it back and on and................working like a charm now. No more freezing, no more getting stuck in the loading screen.

Anyways....not like anyone cares anyways. Just in case if anyone reading did have this problem (i'm guessing it was only me...LOL).....turn on the espn radio feed, if you turned it off.

Firstly I want to say that I love this game, the best game I have ever played. The one thing that would make this great and even more sim, and I hope that this gets addressed, is that the game has trouble recognising what is an open shot and what is not an open shot. Whether its 3 pointer, mid range or short range. This is not DNA or %'s. If a defender is standing right infront of a shooter, this is not a clean look, the shot should miss. In real life you cannot shoot with someone close to you or you risk getting stripped. You have to either turn your back on them and shoot a fadeaway, or force up a bad shot.

I've played a few games post-patch on the PS3 and the game is kinda everywhere. I've had more "WHAT THE ****?!" games than enjoyable ones. There's been a game where I blew out the CPU with the Clippers, then one where I just barely lost with the Hawks. Those were good games. Then there's one where the Lakers beat me by 30+ points because once somebody caught a offensive board for them, there's nothing I could do. Monster dunk after monster dunk.

The rebounding is extremely better though and has become pretty much as non-issue for me. I just wish there was a better system when it came to bodying up on the offensive rebounder because it seems almost impossible to block them when they're in mid-animation. I switched back to the old school baseline low that I always ran with before next gen, and it makes the game look even better. The fouls are better and I'm damn near getting realistic scores with five minute quarters. I really don't see why people were doging the patch early on. I haven't been forced to OT or anything, which I think was one of the complaints. Good job EA.

Oh and I've only played one online game so far and it was against the Lakers. I blew dude out with the Grizz after he kept chunking up with Kobe(2/24). Not sure if the step back 3 was addressed cause I haven't played enough.

Those who tried both, is 360 and PS3 about the same? Or is one version of the game better?
Also, how is the online community base on the PS3? Thinking of getting a PS3, but not sure if there are a lot of players online.

its the same outside of the very few jaggies. Its damn near identical. I really didnt see a difference at all, and i played about 5 games in a row on the PS3.

Now, is wrong:
To pass the ball(to the nearest Big man) is 2 much difficult
To pass the ball with the icon passing is not good, now (sometimes)the ball hander begins to dribble before to pass.

This would be no bad if the 3 pts or 2 pts midrange shots DEFENSE were better.

NOW , THE GAME IS A "" NOT PASS THE BALL " AND SHOT(3PTS IF YOU CAN)

downloaded the patch for 360 and rajon rondo took the first 13 shots against me and 8 of those were from 3 point line. WTF?

Was that no OT glitch for just the 360 or was it just certain peple getting it? I had a double OT game the other today and then today I had my best game ever in Live 10 with a OT win in my fantasy dynasty. I'm on PS3.

No OT is a byproduct of a goaltending glitch that gets the score confused. If there aren't any goaltending calls then you won't have a problem when the game is tied.

The goal tending thing did my head in the other night. I was down 98-97 with 10 seconds left and the computer was inbounding the ball. I was all ready to foul them but they threw up a garbage shot before I could get to them! Then when I grabbed the ball on the rebound they deliberately fouled me! I hit the two free throws and won 99-98. I was stunned. But then I realised that the CPU must have thought the score was different because of a couple of goal tending calls earlier in the game. Pretty crazy stuff.
