Yes he does set up at the 3 pt line. Much to my chagrin while I was playing as the Lakers.

Yes they usually are watered down. 2k9 demo lacked playcalling as well.

For those complainig about alley-oops I have seen 2 by the cpu in my 7 games(one to kobe and one to gasol). They both looked legitimate and believable. I've never been a fan of the alley oop mechanic though. I think earlier 2k's had it right where a oop occurred automatically based on timing and spacing when you passed it.

My fault. I didn't even see your post.

You absolutely can NOT abuse Isomotion this year, it's great.

I was just hitting Kobe with some random moves with VC, in 2k9 something eventually would have worked and I'd be on my way to the basket, but he was able to cut off every move and then eventually forced a TO after about 5-6 moves.

It's amazing how much they've toned down the sliding.

That engine needs to be scraped entirely and built from the ground up.

Fatal,

Someone posted an article here regarding an in depth look at 2k10 development. I wish I could give you the link. It's some where in the nba 2k forum. In the article they talk to one of the developers who mentions that he was looking at re-examining the whole dribble mechanic system for future titles. Your wish may not be far off.

A lot of people seem to be disappointed with 2k's lack of progress in dribbling control. The dribbling just feels very unresponsive and 2k hasn't really done much to innovate in that area in the last few years. Considering it's a weak point, it seems they should've added a lot to the dribbling by now.

Only to wait as my man gathers for a SET SHOT. I don't want to shoot a set shot. Maybe I've been spoiled by the other game. Probably wouldn't care had they not had it in their game and not had done it so well.
NOT good news. Obviously the A.I would never attempt those strips but "Cheesers" most certainly will and have last year. That was very annoying. SMH

Hmmm TMagic If I hadn't seen Mo execute that pumpfake and jumpshot with Roy in that vid I would be quite concerned with the Set Shot comment. I will only know I guess until I play for myself. I'm skipping the demo though...

That's a welcomed piece of info. I think 2K had solid gameplay for a few years and concentrated on Presentation for the last 2. I think controls have taken a huge hit because of that.

Yeah, i really don't like how you can't perform leaners and momentum shots at will. you should be able to shoot on the move whenever you want, but the game always forces you to shoot a slow, gathering "set shot."

# 253 Pared @ 09/29/09 12:48 PM
Can't strip guys on the break at will on the final. In the games I've played against others online, you can't.

Fouls are definitely too low on default, though. Hopefully they can up them via a patch.

This is 2K9 in better court spacing, team specific tendencies and put back dunks. So if you liked 2K9, you will probably like this.

Not true.

Hold a direction (I use turbo to gather speed), and press the right stick in that direction too. Same as the combine..

First of all, "People like me" whom purchase both games every year love the sport of basketball games as well as their virtual representation. Check my gamer tag an you will see i buy both games every year.

Second, put down the INTERNET creatine syringe. Just because i don't feel the same way about this game as you do, doesn't mean i have loyalty to a certain company. Last time i checked, this was an impressions thread, and those were my impressions at the time. You take bits and pieces from my post to try and prove a point, but you just make yourself look silly.

Third, try and read my whole post next time before you get offended. Am i more excited for the "other" game this year? Of course i am anytime change happens for the better, im all for it. Have i paid off both games already? Yes i have so i dont have an agenda.

Got the And 1 call to top it off.

Not the first time either. I dunked on 3 Magic players earlier. And I've had a couple dunks on the man guarding me + Dwight.

There was one instance where I was on the break and tried to pull up for a 15 foot jumper with Kobe. But, Kobe went to the bucket and dunked on two people who were back on the break.

I wouldn't say it's a "dunkfest" though, in all honesty.

These were just some moments where I said to myself, "Yeah right." or "What the...?" Maybe it's because Kobe is the cover boy. I don't know.

I'll try some stuff with Vince and see if I get the same results. Lol
you are playing on pro though....

the easiness of the alley oops worries me for online play.
