Crques,
I have seen a few hit the rim then roll around and go in, but the majority are swishes. I have yet to see one bank off the backboard though.

go irish-also you could of used all your points or you might not have did the right steps in order to offer that kid a scholarship. Once you do certain tasks it will open up another. Under the tasks it lists the prerequistes for what needs to be done in order for you to unlock a scholarship.

I played ten minute halves last night and had a total of six offensive rebounds. I was using Cole Aldrich from KU on defense to rebound. The CPU had around the same amount. I'm very happy with that amount at this time.

I've yet to miss from the free throw line, nor has the CPU. I'm hoping it's not similar to 2K where the CPU team shooting the free throws has a high probability to get the rebound off the miss. That used to drive me crazy!

Anyone think it's possible that a patch can address the names of the CPU players being shown on the court? I'd like to have an idea who I'm guarding and who has the hot hand. I played Davidson very briefly, but was easily able to pick out Curry. However, when I played against Mizzou, I had no idea who I was guarding at the time.

Is there a way after a made shot by the CPU, to quickly get the ball up the court? It's a minor gripe, but there are times I like to push the ball up the court quickly and perhaps catch the CPU napping. What I am finding is that the guard bringing the ball up the court is calling out plays, and even if I push on the right trigger to try and speed up, the game doesn't allow me to. I'm sure those of you who use UNC would be rather annoyed by this.

Thanks. I never saw that in the demo so I was just wondering. I'm sure it doesn't bother most people but you would think that a PS3 game would have a variety of made shots. It just makes the game better and more realistic.

I really hate this. It was one of my main complaints in MM08. This combined with the lack of stat overlays or mention by the commentators of a hot/cold player really keeps me guessing most of the game. I really wish they would have done a better job with this. CH 2k8 has really spoiled me.

I agree K_rob, however Nessler does point out the player who has the hot hand in his commnetary. Generally, it's after a made basket by the CPU player. Last night, Curry hit three in a row and immediately they made a comment that's he's got the hot hand and everything should go through him.

But, there's no excuse not to have the player's names under them.

I had the same question. Iwas just messing around with recruiting last night and used all my points the first day of the season...I thought it would be like Football and I would get points the next week too. Is this not the case. How does recruiting work? If this isn't the place to ask, I'm sorry.

Do they say his name (or number) or do they just say, "he's" got the hot hand? Because if thats the case, I might not even know who just shot the ball and I would have to stop the game, go to replay and see who Nessler is talking about.

go irish-it should tell you I dont know off-hand. Yeah the Dynasty points are for the season. If you have a good season though you will earn a lot of points. Focus on winning all of you AD challenges and doing all of the recruiting task that the AD wants you to do.

NCAA FOOTBALL 09 is $49.99 at TARGET!!!!!!!

Well, I haven't uploaded any rosters as of yet. But from what I hear, unfortunately they do not call out player's name from the other team. Heck, I'm not even sure they call your player's name either. Someone said the PA announcer does announce the name, but how often can you really make out what the PA announcer is saying? It's not a game breaker for me, but I can understand how others would be put off by it.

It's little things like this that have me shaking my head. Why they feel it's not important to call the players name during game play is disturbing. My thinking is that they only had a limited time with Nessler and Vitale and so they went with game play commentary instead.

Nessler does call out the players name sometimes. Not as much as needed or as you would see in an actual broadcast but he does call out the names. I haven't heard Vitale call a name yet.

Again, its one of those small things that doesn't really detract from the gameplay for me, but is something I hope they fix/work on for next year.

That's very good to hear CB. I honestly don't think the commentary is that bad. Heck, parts of me enjoys it. The original crew from CH was outstanding, but the inclusion of Rafterty didn't sound very authentic. He sounded a bit like Vitale does in this game. But, even Vitale doesn't sound that bad. I actually like this better than Madden's commentary.

Now Erin Andrew's commentary is much too generic for my tastes.

Agreed about Andrew's commentary. Sometimes, I honestly don't know what in the hell she's talking about.

Too bad they didn't include a picture of her on the game to show when her commentary starts up. Then I wouldn't care what in the hell she was talking about.

I guarantee that I wouldn't be listening to a word she said.

I really enjoy her sideline reporting but I honestly don't think I can recall anything she's every talked about, nor have I ever cared.

I like the game for the most part. It definitely feels different from previous games. However, the sim engine is pretty bad. I simmed 2 seasons to get a feel for the sim engine:

Highest team points per game: 79-81
Highest individual points per game: 19-21
Highest individual assists per game: 5.5-6.5
Highest individual rebounds per game: 9.5-10
Highest individual steals per game: 1.7-1.9
Highest individual blocks per game: 2.6-3.0

Those are pretty weak numbers in my eyes. The problem for the individual numbers is superstars aren't getting enough minutes. Stephen Curry was only averaging 27 minutes per game. Same for the other star players. I don't recall seeing one player average more than 30 minutes per game.

Bummer.

Oh, and the Top 25 polls are pretty bad too. I saw St. Mary's at #2 with a 16-4 record at one point. WTF. Every team had at least 6 losses too by the end of the regular season.

Well those aren't encouraging things that you've mentioned and really have me on the fence about picking this game up now. Since I'm a sim guy, those are definite areas of concern for me. I'm assuming there are no sliders to adjust shot tendencies or minutes played? Do you think editing individual player fatigue would help the minutes and points per game for some of the star players? The rankings have been a concern of mine since I watched the dynasty video a few weeks ago. How are the NCAA Tournament brackets? Do they seem reasonable and fair? Also, what in season tournaments are on the game? I read somewhere a while back that there were only 4 or 5.
