We should start the bug glitch thread. I just played 3 more games and sure enough foul out is OFF and grayed out. I'll start it.

I just shut my PS3 off for the night, someone should fire up a dynasty real quick and see if it stays grayed out there as well. If it does, we need to let EA know ASAP so it can be patched.
I'm just going off what I've read at various forums. I don't have the game so I can't say for sure IMO if it is truly a bug-filled game without being an owner of the game. Gonna wait for more impressions which I have enjoyed reading I might add. Peace!!!!

True. So far the gamplay doesn't have any glaring glitches which is awesome. Nothing like NCAA Football where the CPU didn't throw the ball downfield or the slant was automatic, etc.

The gameplay is really, really solid thus far. We'll keep our fingers crossed that no big bugs pop up in that department.

Doing it right now. BB in 1

Happy to report the Foul Outs are on. I even did a lot of slider edits just to mess around and it's its still on. My first game was against Western Michigan and there was no commentary. Which was really a nice touch. I liked that in NCAA Football to.

Anyway, it looks as if it's only exhibition game related.

Has anyone took a look at the sim engine? What I am looking for is the following:

1) Team points per game - Is there any team averaging 90-100 PPG? Is there a realistic variety?

2) Player points per game - Is a guy like Stephen Curry or a gunner from VMI near the top in PPG?

3) All other individual and team statistical leaders. Are the realistic?

4) Poll logic - Is the weekly poll that comes out logical? I think someone wrote a week or two ago that it may be way off.

Thanks. And thanks for all of the impressions.

PS - I still haven't opened my copy and I've had it since Tuesday! I'm so disciplined. It's killing me.

I have a question that I haven't seen answered. Is there any way to get the names of the players to show up under the team you are playing? They will show up for my team, but not the team I am playing against. Thanks.

How is redshirting on the game and are medical redshirts available? Also, can you edit a player and have him sit out a season with a "transfer" like on 2K8? Thanks.

That's good at least.

Not in the default rosters unfortunately. I don't know about dynasty mode though, haven't looked into it. The roster interface and editing in 2K8 was another out-of-this-world feature, NCAA09 pales in comparison in that area.

A little confused on the team ratings? If you look at Blue Ribbon the ratings differ quite a bit from the ratings when in the team select screen?

I noticed that too.

has anyone played more than one season in dynasty yet? if so is it too easy to recruit good players? and how good is the dynasty overall?

# 233 UGA14 @ 11/20/08 11:31 AM
So what do you guys think overall? I keep hearing the dynasty mode is shallow? I'm thinking about picking the game up, but I'm curious about that mode and the gameplay obviously. I played the demo on Xbox, but I just got the 3 rings, I've got it downloading for PS3. I think the gameplay is decent, but some of it felt a little weird to me. Does the final game play great? I guess I'm just used to playing the 2k basketball games and I'm just curious what comparison, if any, there is to CH 2k8 and stuff. I've been reading through this thread and I see a lot of good things about the game.

But like the poster above, I'm curious if recruiting is too easy.

The gameplay is very different from 2K and takes a while get used to but is very good IMO. The features and things of that nature are still very far behind compared to 2K8 so it boils down to what is most important to you and what you can live with and without.

My biggest issue (other than no player lock) is the feeling of not really controlling anything on D. I'm soooo sick and tired af my man I'm controlling sliding 5 feet to double team another player that comes in the area.

I'm trying to figure out what is causing that, I've only played with UConn so far so my pressure is always at tight. I wonder if putting it to loose would reduce the double teaming, or if you play at a half-court tempo. But I agree, that does get annoying.

Let go of the L trigger or L2 (if your playing ps3) and your guy wont do that. pull the r stick down if you want to man lock d or whatever its called.

That's a good point, I noticed if you hold down L2 the CPU will control everything your player does. If you're at half court and the man you're suppose to be guarding is in the far corner and you old L2, your man will run cross court to the guy he's suppose to be guarding. L2 is def not a typical 2K player lock feature, more like "there's chaos and I don't know where I'm suppose to be" button.
