Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Bargaining Agreement Discussion

One last thing: Just because 50 players were on a call about decertification doesnt mean they will all vote for it. If their attorneys were being straight with them they would have advised them against this.

As I said, this is a last gasp effort by the agents. They leak the story to put some fear in the owners.

Decert blows up the season. We've known that since June. That why Hunter hasnt done it. Its not leverage if you blow up the season because players do the same amount of damage to themselves (maybe more) as the owners. This "leverage" may move the owners 1 percentage point or it may cause the owners to call their bluff. Decert didnt work for the NFLPA and its not likely to work here. So the players can decertify and then they lose a year and are looking at getting 43% next year.
I didn't think I needed to point out the obvious. That in the fact guys were going over seas. Unlike football players those guys could use their skills other places just to hold out.

Either way leverage is leverage you guys said zero I said not much.

Once again the owners are more responsible for this lockout. They are losing just like the players are so for the greater good they could easily meet the players @52% and still come away from these negotiations a big winner. So I don't see how it's unreasonable to hold the owners just as responsible if not more than the players. There's a saying that nobody is suppose to come away happy after negotiations. Not here the owners will be the clear cut winners even coming up 1.5 - 2% points to end all of this.
No one is anti players. That's what you simply don't get.

And they have a healthy fear of it too.

Decert isn't a home run by any stretch, but its not a shot in the dark either. Provided the players are willing to suffer through the loss of the season...Which is a big if.

Yeah that's no leverage at all. The best outcome would be for them to accept the deal that's been proposed. It only gets worse for everyone involved if decertification comes into play. Sometimes you just have to quit while you're ahead (or behind depending on your perspective).

Plenty are, and that's fine.....but it's pretty obvious. The very person who called Da Throne a troll said the exact words lol...

With that said, I don't care who's pro or anti what...This situation is so far past that at this point.

The sad part is, this stoppage is going to kill any traction the league had as it concerns regaining popularity. They had a fabulous post season, and they simply pissed away the momentum gain.

They really aren't though. Da throne being called a troll or borderline troll in this instance isn't much of a stretch. His motivation is quite clear.
