Thank you! I appreciate the help more than I can say. I'm running short on time to edit and I'll accept help gladly.

What formula do you use to determine possessions used?

Re: Realistic Rosters/Sliders/Coaching Tendencies *Complete Overhaul*

I just remembered 82games.com breaks down player and team shot usage in reference to how much time has elapsed in the shot clock. Here are the top and bottom 3 teams in regards to pace and how often they take shots in the last 4 seconds of the shot clock:

Minnesota 8% 6.8 Shots per game
New York 9% 7.5 Shots per game
Denver 12% 9.7 Shots per game

Detroit 22% 17.8 Shots per game
New Orleans 18% 14 Shots per game
Portland 17% 13.6 Shots per game

If you are seeing between 5-20 shots per game, per team, taken at the end of the shot clock, it would be fairly accurate. Even Phoenix was at 10%.

Hum vs. CPU, but either would work. They're very similar.

Hey slimm44,
as you are working so hard on roster stuff, maybe you can help with this.
What's driving me crazy (since 2k11 actually) is Greg Oden's rebounding in this game - there is barely one!
I looked at his personal tendencies, his attributes too, and didn't find anything that would hint at reasons for his awful rebounding game. Often it's like he cannot utilize his size/strength advantage and on offense it is often the case that he wanders out to the 3pt line.
But even if he has good rebounding position he seems to have bad timing, gives up position again in the last moment or some other stupid thing happens that prevents him from getting a board.
Camby comes in from the bench and averages more rebounds in less minutes.

I just had a game against the rockets with their C Chuck Hayes who is frikkin 6'5 and Oden gets _2_ boards in over 30 minutes of play. -.-

Is it the emotion attribute ? I already tried to tinker with other stuff. His rebounding attributes are excellent and his def. awareness is good as well but he cannot even dominate his own board.
Please help :/

Btw: These are the default rosters. Simulated stats are o.k., it's only in the actual game that he sucks.

Re: Realistic Rosters/Sliders/Coaching Tendencies *Complete Overhaul*

It's actually in tendencies. Most bigmen should have their tendency to isolate set to 0, along with set pick and set screen set to or close 0.

His plays in his default edit screen should not have isolation/high post among them.

2K12 got this wrong with the big men tendencies.

You may want to take a peek at this thread:

Re: Realistic Rosters/Sliders/Coaching Tendencies *Complete Overhaul*

I've skimmed the thread posted above me but I haven't tried out the theory yet. It seems to be pretty solid. With guys like Oden, who don't do much on offense beside set screens, it's a simple fix. Set their tendency to set picks low, set their set screens tendency high, and make sure they are posting down low and not up high. With guys like Blake Griffin and Dwight Howard, it may not be such an easy fix.

If it's a problem of having the big men set picks in the Pick and Roll game, I would have a hard time changing it. The majority of the time Blake and Dwight are setting picks for the ball handler, rolling off, and crushing the rim. I like that part of the game. For instance, last season Orlando ran the Pick and Roll nearly 25% of the time. That's once every 4 possessions. Take that away and you take away their offense.

I'll check out the aforementioned thread and get back with you.

Re: Realistic Rosters/Sliders/Coaching Tendencies *Complete Overhaul*

It works, I have tried it ingame. About Dwight and Blake don't worry about seeting their pick and screen tendencies to 0, since their pick and roll moves are assigned via playbook, so they will still play true to their style.
