I understand the development team. But I miss MLB The Show 12 - franchise mode.

I would love more franchise stats, how much cash made in a week, month, year and monthly attendance numbers.

If thats in the game already I'm going to feel stupid, I know yearly money stats are there.

LOL ... I am a seasoned 30+ year software developer presently working on a commercial auto insurance application (which has it's challenges but is likely a lot easier than coding this game would be). I have to laugh at what is written above, and at the same time I agree with it. It's true. I only laugh because of this scene from Money Ball.

I just imagine I am the guy saying "It's incredibly hard", because it is.

I just noticed Texas was wearing white pants on the road with their blue jerseys in the stream.

This was a problem a couple years ago where road teams would wear their home white pants with their alternates. I know the Twins had this problem in the past, and in the stream Texas does now.

I will say visual basic programming was much easier

Ramone or someone from SCEA can you explain why DD has inside edge but franchise does not? Inside edge is a core feature or should be a core feature of franchise.

Ok so here is my 2 cents my how we could see interleague rotating schedule in a future version of The Show. First year say 2018 as a example the interleague is set like normal. Fast forward to the next season give us menu option to pick which division we play. No idea if it's possible or what kind of issues that could cause with the schedules. But hey it's a idea and maybe a option.

Main thing I've gotten out of this stream is it's going to be way easier to get through seasons of Franchise.

I find myself going super slow through seasons for fear of missing something of note in my franchise. For example, after every day of simulating, I pour over every team's boxscore, to see if someone had a no hitter, or if someone had a three HR game, or to see if the starter broke 15ks, or so on and so forth.

With these critical moments, I won't have to slow down so much. I get to the heart, what I want to see, and I get to pass over so much of the stuff that prevents me from finishing seasons quickly.

Additionally, I LOVE what the created characters are starting to look like. I still need to take close examination once I get into an actual game, but it's going to prompt me to want to play, long after the Noah Syndergaards of the world retire and leave me with just generated talent. I haven't been so excited to play with generated characters since about 2005, when all the characters looked the same because of limitations.

tl;dr, I'm stoked, and I'm sold.

Sorry for not talking about Franchise but if I can get quirks on my RTTS characters I will be beyond giddy. I love getting deep into counts and walking, so some of those quirks would be really fun to try and actually earn on a character to give them some more personality. Definitely looking forward to the RTTS stream even more now.

I honestly might use the mode but it's a lot less likely if I can't see the pitch count. I'll even take pressing a few buttons to get to it. But if I have to load up the game to see it every time then I won't be using it much. Hard to manage a bullpen when you have no idea how many pitches your starter has thrown.

This is my only concern with it as well.

You can't see pitch count. You can see pitcher energy.

I think this is very important for me. You can now get through games of your farm system in 5 minutes. it gives you a chance to actually play with the minors. I personally didn't before but this changes that. I will be able to see how good/bad prospects are instead of just going by purely stats.

Great addition IMO. I think this and Ball Physics is just enough to upgrade from 15 to 17.....heck ball physics alone...OHHH and commentary is enough for me.

There is always next year.

Graphics are great as usual. I for the life of me cannot understand why a rotating interleague schedule is such an issue. We can open and close roofs, but we can;t schedule different teams after year one? Very dissapointing. It was done 15 years ago with other Baseball games. Its just hard to understand why it can't be done with the best sports game on the market

Me, personally, I like the new features. I love playing franchise mode. Play damn near every game, but the quick manage is something that's going to help me get through multiple years. That has been a problem for me. People who play every single game that are harping about no changes should realize that gameplay has been drastically improved. Sure, I would love to set prices for stadium stuff, but I'm one of those guys who likes the upgrades they did. Quirks just put it over the top for me. It's going to be fun building rosters. Again, this is all just my opinion. What the hell do I know?

Tremendous letdown. Think it was 2 years ago or so said they had big things planned for franchise. I haven't seen too much so far although traits is a great addition for player differentiation. almost worth a purchase alone.

I'm cool with real progress made every 2 years instead of annually, but I'm tired of hearing about "ball physics" every year...Then again, that's probably because I have no problem at all with the ball physics.

Sticking with '16 this year. Just started year 2021 in my franchise. Still having enough fun to last me through the dark times

Anyone know for sure if critical incidents includes career milestones? The stream only showed late inning stuff and single games milestones.

I am really excited about Quirks because I feel it adds an extra layer of strategy to the game.

However, I wish they would put a star or something next to the Quirks that are player specific and effect hitting/pitching so we can distinguish those from the "Quirks" that are just present because their attributes generated them.

I think these things should actually have two separate names:

1. Player Profile (or something) = Attributes generated "quirks"
2. Quirks = Play Specific "quirks" that impact gameplay in situational ABs
