Very exciting new video for the things they showcased! I'm going to reserve judgment for things they have yet to show off like player models and such, because so many different things can happen between then and now. I'll hold onto hope for other things though, like they didn't show any nighttime games so perhaps it's something they're working on.

Most impressive things were the ball physics changes and Heyward's throws after he caught. They've had pretty lackluster outfield animations for a long time, but these actually looked like an outfielder. Very awesome!

I scrolled down your post looking for:

"............ cuz all I hit are DINGERS BABY!!!"

But alas, it seems you genuinely were uncertain, so I'm just glad you got answered.

Very excited about the physics, though part of me is wondering why they had the "physics based on a wall" system for so long, when they were so obviously flawed.

But I'll focus on the positives/future. This trailer alone makes this game a must-buy for me. These are the gameplay improvements I've been waiting for. I can't wait to pre-order it already. The new physics and revamped throws (both fielder and catcher) are HUGE.

When I watched this today I was like

I'm not giving up hope on additional player/uniform changes later in the roll-out; they might be keeping some things under wraps for a more relevant vlog.

Been excited for 17' since the first trailer hit. Now, I'm over the moon. MVP edition already ordered a month ago. I'm so ready.

Really liked what I saw in the video. Can't wait for the stream on Thursday.

I mean why would they add it back when they removed it 2 or 3 versions ago I think because a lot of us were complaining about it being as you said an eye sore. I hope it's not there in the final build.

And actually I was hoping for a much more improved Scorebug then what is seen in this video.
I gave all this feedback about the Show logo to the designers...keep an eye out in the future

Looks awesome. Can't wait to take the Tribe to win it all this year in franchise mode. I wish they could add the under armour logo to the undershirt if you want instead of the nike logo being the only option.

Ugh I'm so annoyed. I hope these aren't the final player model builds. Unchanged for literally ever.

Thanks! Scorebug looks great, otherwise. Always a must to have the team logos in it, in my opinion.

Would be nice to have pitcher and batter stats on the screen as an option. A lot of broadcasts do this. All about getting the most info to the viewer in the most concise and clean way.

That catch and throw system looks like one of those small things that is going to make a world of difference. Can't wait to see far less of those unnecessary crow hops from the outfield. And that SS to 2B handoff in the video? Perfect.

They were originally part of the plan along with the bullpens, but I don't know if ownership abandoned that idea or not. Maybe they'll be in 2018.

Also, after watching the video, especially the birdseye view of Wrigley at 1:07, the red and blue "Baseball is Better" sign in the rightfield corner has got to go. That is an eyesore to what should be a see thru fence.

Glad to see the small and big changes! Thanks, guys!

A few observations:

1.) The broadcast camera angle still needs some work as the backstops are too dark.

2.) Doesn't seem that the 3-6-3 double play has been confirmed. (The throw from the first baseman is definitely improved.)

3.) The grass still looks a bit sketchy... they need to look at how Madden did the grass. Right now it looks like there are oil spots on the field when the camera is zoomed out.

I'm a big fan of the new score bug. I think it's the white...I'd also love to see the additions of Pitcher/Batter names in the score bug and then remove the abbreviations while just using the logos to differentiate the teams.

Looks okay. Some much needed changes, but still too many just bad animations (specifically the slides into bases). Hopefully those can be improved upon next.

No the see thru fence was removed in real life.

For people unenthused by the graphics in this trailer, keep in mind that the graphical deep dive isn't for another month and a half (3/23) where things like "grass tech" is on the schedule. A quality update to the grass rendering would be a game changer, imo.

It's a good idea to keep [respectfully] submitting feedback (i.e. the scorebug thing that they're working on) in the meantime because the devs are relying on our eyes and ears, but there's really no need to pull out the disappointment card just yet. I'm almost certain that the shading, colors, lighting etc is nowhere near what the final product will be.

That said, it looks like we're riding with essentially the same build of player models for '17 unless SDS is totally reserving a massive surprise for later. No chance they have enough time to build new models and sync them with new animations in the dev time remaining, but updates to uniforms, some more variety in body types, and maybe some uniform wrinking/texturing seems like a reasonable expectation to hope for on the player model front.

Corrected. Would be nice if they had a green and white sign tho on game to better match the fence.
