The movement when playing defense is so slow. I feel like i'm a turtle. I am using a LDD with the highest off-the-ball speed and I struggle to guard anybody, with DAS to 0, who to guard : off and still feel super slow in terms of moving lateral.

Is it just me or is the bumping worse than ever? They happen way to frequently and the "dribble pick up" animation is happening more than ever after those bumps

It's alight for players that arnt playing mycareer who can adjust sliders but, for us that are it straight up sucks

So, if I turn off 'who to guard', it may be a bit better?
Yes turn who to guard off.

Seriously. It's a complete tank. Before this recent patch it was actually playable and loose.

My players will run towards the offensive player but absolutely refuse to contest the shot by putting a hand up when I use the shot stick. It's a bit aggravating and I'm not sure why it's happening.
The manual contest is also way too sensitive for committing a foul. I believe this is due in large part to the stick functioning as a multi defensive purpose input for contests and steals.

I oftentimes want to simply raise my hand but my character makes a hard reach attempt instead. I have resorted to Automatic contest. I'm part of the problem with not being precise with the stick but it's not worth the hassle of fighting with the input commands.

They do a tuning update, and it's horrible. As a centre I can't push my way into the paint, always get stuck in animation where the defending centre shields me like 5 meters along the paint then boxes me out and I'm just locked in a boxout with no way to fight it.
On defense feels like I'm a second behind everything and when trying to change direction I over run everything, and when inbox out the AI defenders always seem to start behind me and magically when i boxout they slip in front of me

Have stopped playing mycareer now
Same experience.

Game felt better at 1.05 prior to the tuning.

I don't expect everyone to have the same experience as me so I won't shade the others who prefer the 1.05 tuning. I feel a major difference however that I'm not in favor of regarding the game play environment.

Please no more updates, gameplay wise. Its still not perfect but its much enjoyable pre patch/out of the box. Its the very first time in ANY 2k games that i played on Hall Of Fame Default Setting that i felt defense is rewarded/CPU running half court plays/ Going on mismatches.

If they change back to the pre tuning settings it would be perfect

What game mode are you playing vs CPU?

I'm asking for clarity so I can understand the difference.

From what I gather so far: the tuning altered the default sliders for Superstar and HOF. This may be in favor of those who play in modes against the CPU.

Rewarding Defense and CPU running half court plays all sound good. I just can't relate fully from my experience in My Career which is played on easier sliders in favor of the User.

I'm not seeing a bunch of daily changes on my end, game still feels like it did right after patch 1.05.

My main issue is still the stickiness of the AI defenders...it has a snowball effect on the entire feel of the game..

I'm in my league using the roster out of the box. Its just a total different feeling than the previous NBA 2k Games. Im in may Finals using the warriors against Cleveland and im really enjoying it so far. No more cheesing, CPUs don't have eyes at their backs, rebounding is fair(im still getting tons of offensive rebound which is missing in previous installment), Walking off the court during half court plays, running in transition in a miss or a turnover. Hell i manage them to score 79 points in a 12 minute quarter my first game then the second game i lost in a double overtime. Add to that, the also isolate Lebron James in the last 2 minutes of OT. Beautiful.

It's all back. The auto post ups, CPU bumping, picking up your dribble. All of that trash was gone when they first released the patch. The only saving grace is that it happens to the CPU as well.

Please go back to 'Before Steve Nash'

I've given this game so many chances, but between all the bugs, constantly shifting gameplay from patch to patch, unrealistic shooting, terribly laggy servers, etc, I think I am finally going to become one of those "I'm done" people.

Never thought I would say it about a 2K game, but this year has been terrible, not enjoyable, and 2K16 was a far superior product.

# 434 papaey @ 11/11/16 04:07 AM
is that "after steve nash" update really that bad?

# 435 ataman5 @ 11/11/16 04:50 AM
Game doesnt feel free as it was out of the box, the players either move with heavy heavy bags or has super speed boosts etc. I'll keep telling this feeling of mine.

Speaking from playing mostly MyCareer, a few ProAm and PNO games. It still feels the same to me besides in MyCareer it's actually a little easier to blow past your man now especially against a bad defender. Before the patch even bad defenders had that sticky D. No matter what I did they was usually there unless I hit them w/ the ankle breaker.

I am liking the moving screens but it's like 2K wanted to play the middle. They wanted calls to be in but the rate they call them is VERY low in ProAm and from what I hear, Park. You're getting screened hard still back and forth while not set and it's rarely any calls. Which sucks. You'll probably see 1 called a game in ProAm even though you're getting screened every possession illegally.

Defensive movement is still terrible. It's better offline but still silly online. I don't think we'll see an improvement until next year. From my experience, it seems you can reach slightly more now without it being a foul. SS's still make at crazy high %. Shooting is about the same but you can tell it took a slight hit. Overall, I can't see how anyone can say post patch is a big difference from pre patch.

Regardless, I agree. AI defenders are just too good and physical. If this issue could be fixed, I'd be fine with the other issues, honestly. It's just not fun trying to navigate around the court when you have what at times can be someone in your hip pocket 100% of the time.
100% agree. Angles and momentum mean nothing to AI defenders.

I got in a game last night and really wasn't feeling it, although I didn't have a chance to play the 1.05 patch before the 'Steve Nash' tuning update. It just feels like I can't dribble any time a defender gets near me. My snatch back never seems to work when I want it to, the spin move seems to be an automatic TO for me every time, and when I do get by the defenders, it almost feels like the game just let me do it. It's not like I turn the corner and they ride my hip, they just stand there flat footed.

I don't know, think I'm gonna give it one last chance over the weekend, just because I love the NBA, and if it doesn't rekindle the fire then I'll probably trade it in while the value is still decent. Soooooooo happy I got a physical copy this year.

What happened ?patch came out everything was better and now is like back to the previous patch again! On ball defense is terrible. Player responsive is terrible. What happened?
