GENERAL
  • HDR support has been added for the PS4.
  • Support for the PS4 Pro has been added. NBA 2K17 will run at a native 4K resolution at 60 FPS on the Pro.
  • The Cleveland Cavaliers court floor has been updated to match their new 2016-17 design.
  • The Golden State Warriors uniforms now have the #42 patch in honor of the late Nate Thurmond.
  • Authenticity improvements to a large number of uniforms.
  • You can now use post-release uniforms in Play Now games when using a custom roster.
  • Post-release shoes will now dynamically appear in your game mode saves when starting a new mode or when using a custom roster created after October 15th.
  • Users now have the ability to toggle off the ‘Zoom in Paint’ camera option when using the default broadcast camera.
  • Fixed an issue where the user was unable to unequip certain animation types from their MyPLAYER.
  • The user can now unequip socks from their MyPLAYER.
  • Addressed an issue where controller settings would reset after played games online.
GAMEPLAY
  • Users will no longer be able to prolong MyTEAM Blacktop games by committing reach-in fouls.
  • The Jamal Crawford double behind-the-back combo size-up move now functions properly when equipped.
  • Aiming should now be much easier in the broadcast camera for users who use Pro Stick shot aiming.
  • Disabled shot timing for all shots (including layups, hooks, floaters and heaves) when Shooting Type is set to Real Player %.
  • Improvements to make catching short passes more reliable.
  • Dial back pass speeds (especially on longer passes) to achieve better game balance.
  • “Soften” top front rim ball bounces for more realistic physics-based outcomes.
  • Reduced the frequency of “ticky tack” shooting fouls on jump shots and layups.
  • Fixed illegal screens, which were not being triggered in the proper situations.
  • General improvements to responsiveness, primarily in offball motion.
  • Improvements to the CPU’s double team logic and general defensive AI decision making.
  • Addressed a visual issue that would sometimes cause hook shots to branch into jumpshot follow through landing poses.
MyPARK/2K PRO-AM
  • Teams in Rivet City are again able to grab a Got Next spot while a game is in progress.
  • Fixed a hang that occurred to some users when they were hopping from one MyPARK to another.
  • Fixed a number of camera-related issues when shooting free throws during Pro-Am games.
  • Addressed an issue where some users were unable to use their custom jumpshot in MyPARK.
  • When editing your Pro-Am court, the backboard logo and wall texture can now be switched back to none/blank.
  • You can now view the team rosters of each team directly from the Power Rankings menu in Pro-Am.
  • All of your teammates will now have a unique color indicator when playing Pro-Am.
  • Grand Badges will now appear on the 2K Card in both MyPARK and Pro-Am.
MyCAREER/MyCOURT
  • You can now skip through story scenes that you have already watched.
  • Fixed an issue that would result in the user being unable to play their next game in MyCAREER (a restart is required if you are affected by this).
  • Fixed a case where some users were not seeing triggered story scenes.
  • Fixed an issue where some MyCAREER sponsor contracts were not rewarding the user with the correct amount of VC.
  • Corrected an issue where you could not purchase/equip shoes from your new company when switching shoe endorsements.
  • Addressed an issue where the phone in MyCAREER would inform the user of a new message when that was not the case.
  • Fixed a case where the player would get stuck in the line during the Free Throw Golf drill in Live Practice when using specific signature animations.
MyGM/MyLEAGUE
  • Points of Emphasis have returned to the Gameplan feature! Note that these only affect simulation results.
  • The Advanced Rotations feature will now scale all rotations to work regardless of your chosen quarter length.
  • Fixed cases where some approved city names (e.g. Buffalo) were not being permitted through the content filter when moving your team to another city.
  • Fixed an issue where player attributes were being slightly modified when loading a draft class after the first season.
  • Injuries will now occur during head-to-head gameplay in MyLEAGUE Online.
  • Color improvements have been made to the Kansas City Knights uniform.
  • Fixed a hang that would occur when attempting to use SimCast on the Rising Stars game.
  • Expansion teams will no longer get unlimited funds in MyGM.
  • The NBA logo is now located in the correct spot on the shorts when creating a custom uniform.
  • Many other small bug fixes and adjustments were also made, game-wide.

Play smart D, don't reach a ton and allow easy passes. I also slow it down on my end and take my time. Run lots of plays on offense.

Totally agree. Had 12mins per quarter offline game, me using Portland 140 vs. Memphis 114, on HOF sliders. ACE is on, substitution on rotation, user timing without shot meter (nevermind the green release). Lillard hammered Grizzlies with 43 points, 13 assists. Plumlee with 25 pts, 18 rebounds. Great game. No moving screens, tendencies for 3pt shots were not that high. i don't know if they made the HOF easy or the Blazers were just on road rage. Will have to try more teams to know the effects of patch 1.05.

Please correct me if i'm wrong, 5team fouls = penalty? If yes, then there's a mini bug on patch 1.05. In my last game, my ai opponent had 5team fouls but I didn't get a free throw opportunity. Not a biggie on a blow out game. But in a close game, i'm sure someone will notice.

I've been looking and looking but I see zero difference. They said they changed the colors of Kansas city knights uniforms. Does anyone see any differences? I sure don't. Please explain if someone sees.

really?

I'm 4 games into MyLeague post-patch and the CPU hasn't hit 100 shots yet. My games have finished:

110-94 loss vs. Cavs
87-82 win vs. Grizzlies
111-104 win vs. Pistons
111-95 win vs. Rockets

Don't get me wrong, I love 2K over the years but this video definitely shows some really bad issues with the defensive AI, IMO.

The main double team issue is that Ive seen elite shooters left free one pass away with no rotation to him.

I don't see too many doubles at all.

Because it's good contextual defense. There is nothing wrong with the defense in that video - the only real breakdown os the J. R. Smith 3 and that's a PNR issue... not a double team

Was it an offensive foul? Those don't count.

Then, respectfully, you may not understand what you're looking at. Because the first set he showed was played pretty well by the defense.

Kyrie has 21 pts in the first half, while Kevin love has 6 or something. He then calls an iso for Kyrie, the game's leading scorer, which puts Love in the paint to allow Kyrie move to work. The defender is a weak defender and help comes to slow down or prevent Kyrie from scoring (again). Kyrie passes to Love and Embiid, or whomever, immediately closes out which forces Love to pass or put up a contested shot. This leads to another contested shot and a miss. LeBron gets the rebound and gets a foul.

That's just the first set he showed and that's good defense. The offense wasn't able to burn the perimeter defense due to the help defense and the paint protection contested the shot both times.

The only bad defense in the video is the J. R. shot and thats because the defense broke down due to back hedging and poor defense. The defender on Smith came over to stop Kyrie, who is currently the game's leading scorer.

The Love 3 was good defense because the defense was looking to protect the paint since LeBron was on the elbow with Anderson. That defender can not stop LeBron amd a decision had to be made on who helped, which is why the defender rotated off of Love. It was good defense against phenomenal offense.

Why would they double to purposely force a pass to Love in the paint? One of the main objectives of defense is to keep the ball out of the paint, not to give wide open shots at the nail.

Also, you don't abandon 3pt shooters like the other examples. You stay connected to them, maybe show in the driving/passing lane, but get back to the body of the shooter. Rim protecters come into play if the perimeter defender is beaten. The craziest part is that the shots come off of very little movement, it's just a dude standing there like "this idiot ran in the opposite direction, gimme the ball!!!!!" Both JR & Love (3pt shot) are within 5' of where they were before the ball handler received the ball & ultimately passed the ball to the 3pt shooter.

There's no defense that teaches that. That's not a defensive breakdown, I don't even know what to call it.

I've never seen someone turn their back on Korver & sprint to double the ball handler 10' away.

Because Kyrie was eating his defender alive. That's why I said contextual defense. The double team does not happen if Kyrie doesn't have 21+ points, plus the Sixers bigs were in place to close out on Love since the paint was packed, which is exactly whay happened.
