I'm choosing to do what I do every year. I'm just going to enjoy it for what it is and not obsess over what it isn't.

I think the devs are trying. I just think they have too many different types of FB gamers to please. Their job is impossible.

Thats cool and all, its just not acceptable at all!

A job is a job no matter what it is, you wouldnt feel that way about someone servicing your car!

With that said, i agree with the above poster about sliders and getting things working out the gate even thru patches.

Madden is a game of Football, give us thst and the rest takes care of itself.

The different playstyles will just have to make do from the NFL AUTHENTIC experience!

Did they fix Formation Subs not saving in offline franchises?

I think the biggest issue with madden despite moving on to the current systems now is that Ea still hasn't figured out how to give the game a soul....

By that i mean every team seems to be a replicate of each other....

The game looks amazing at times and it's still fun to play...,but it's lacking an identity from team to team and player to player

I stopped playing madden 15 and 16 because both games became stale after 1-3 months

This years has a little more staying power but the game seems very similar to nba live where everyone just seems to be doing the same things

They might need to dig deeper into player or team tendencies because the broncos for example don't really play any different from the bears in madden.

Take mlb the show or nba 2k for comparison those games although not perfect seems to do a much better job than madden in terms of player mannerisms on he court or field.

In madden we got 100's of Players that all seem to be replicates of each other

There is no distict differences going on....

That's my honest opinion on the series and i love Ea football games

So I think I am about to go back to no patch. The only thing I am seeing better is that tackle animations and the animations of a player fighting for more yards looks better how ever I am seeing a lot of things that are worse.

1. There is no run blocking for me or CPU now. Before patch CPU on all pro could run the ball on default 50 run blocking and I found 50 for me to be slightly to hard. How ever now with the patch both me and CPU are getting like 2 YPC.

2. Neither me or CPU can break tackles. Before patch I had tackling at like 45 now I have it much lower and still am not seeing broken tackles.

3. I am not the most skilled player and now I am seeing more picks and the CPU is making a lot of tip INT that they shouldn't be making.

4. I know we have the topic on this forum about QB accuracy but before patch I didn't have that issue at all. CPU I had there QB accuracy slider at like 33 before patch and they would miss passes and I would have games where the CPU would be like any where from 50-75% on there passes. Now after patch even with QB accuracy at 30 I think my last like 5 games the CPU has been like 70-75% and I am seeing them miss less passes.

5. Kicking I do sometimes miss kicks but kicking was harder before the patch. Now it is to easy.

What sucks about this is of course you lose things like the better draft classes with out the patch and I have adjusted sliders with the patch and even before the patch I didn't have good enough sliders to start a CFM with. So now because of this patch I wasted time on sliders in 2 ways. First now I have got to play more just to kind of get back to where I was and second I wasted time adjusting sliders differently then I would have if not for the patch and how it changed the game.

Yep I agree. MLB the show you know when you are facing Mike trout or Cabrera you better watch out. In madden when playing the AI, cam newton and Brian hoyer play exactly the same. JJ Watt gets the same pressure as every other d lineman. No need to gameplan around him.

Super tecmo bowl 30 years ago had the stars playing like stars and the bums playing like bums. Ea needs to make this game dynamic.

So, cater only to YOUR playstyle, and screw everybody else right?

I'm sorry but this is BS and you know it. EVERY play style should be catered to, period.

Deleted profile to play on all-pro. So this is with the patch. But I decided not to download tuner. The game played excellent. Totally different from the all-pro I played in august. I had trouble running the ball. The Cpu actually ran and passed great! They had almost 400 yds total offense. Except for 2 glaring issues. 1-cpu Oline pass blocking. Nonexistent. I easily get by the tackles with my ends. So I played with the LB's the rest of the game. It was really cool actually. 2-The bigger problem was the accuracy of my qb. I was playing with the Cowboys and Dak. WAY to accurate. As the game progressed brought qb acc down to 5. Only threw 2 passes at that point, but they were dead on target. I don't like to tinker with a slider to that extent in one game. So I'm hoping, that if I go to play another game, with that slider setting should definitely set in. Again, 1 game.

I'm sorry, but this is simply not true. There is a clear difference between the two QBs in this game.

I've thought about deleting the game and disconnecting from the Internet to play a CFM. I need to do more research in these threads prior to making that move. I remember a lot of complaints and issues with the game pre patch. I don't think those issues have gone away and they will show their ugly face again. For me, I think the frustration of the most recent patch and the issues associated with it sometimes Overshadow the fact that many of us were holding off on starting a CFM until this patch dropped. There was probably a good reason for that.

Never hurts to try as you can always patch up again by connection to the Internet. I just want to be sure before I throw away all the slideritis and CFM work I've put in.

Hope you found something here. I've thought about trying this and have asked others here if they had. Consensus was the tuner was nothing and had no affect. The thought was it was already integrated into the patch and somehow released by mistake. :/. Thanks for trying this and please do report back your findings. I can't find enough time in the day to keep chasing the holy grail. .

Not really when the ai is controlling them. Do you ever see cam beat you with his feet? Their accuracy is about the same I. The games I play.

When and where did I say that?

Anyways like I said before...

Madden is game that represents NFL football just like other sports game do for their respective sport genre

This is not NFL AND1 or NFL STREET!

The fundamentals of this game and its foundation is what we see on SUNDAY'S!

Anything outside of that is on the user!

As far as sliders go, they should work as its a feature thats part of this game and is supposed to give the user his own way of controlling how he feels the game should play to them.

So if you wanna play "freestyle" football, then u would have to try and accomplish that within the sound fundamental of the game of football itself!

I'm really hoping too. Probably should have played with tuner on first. I mean it could absolutely play the exact same way. But should have compared my experience to the level everyone else is at first. I'm just hoping I can get my qb to not be So unbelievably accurate. But man the cpu played great. The Redskins. 125 yds rushing. No long runs. And Cousins at about 250 yds passing. 25 yds downfield, finding spots in my cover 2.

Except this is not real life. It is a video game. It is a fictional adaptation of the NFL. Meaning it is not meant to be completely true to life. It is supposed to be a bit fanciful.

If that's your interpretation sure. But just because it is a video game doesn't mean it can't be a true representation of the game.

I'm going to test more tonight. Extremely small sample size so far but the game plays better (for me) after deleting the tuner. Last night I deleted my profile and started an offline CFM with the Bills. Patch and tuner loaded. All-pro default everything. 9min quarters no run off. Auto-subs 80/60. 1st game @ Ravens in the rain. Game played ok but I was frustrated with lack of running game on both sides and Baltimore's inability to do anything on offense. The game felt rigid, scripted, and stiff. Today, I only had time to play one half of the same game (also in the rain) after deleting the tuner. Exact same settings. Game felt night and day different. Players had weight again, broken tackles, improved line play (for default anyway). CPU offense (Ravens) was a threat. Great mix of pass and run with steady long drive sustained success. Saw some errant throws but keep in mind this game was in the rain so that may have been a factor. Hard to describe but it felt much more dynamic and alive. Again extremely small sample size but I plan to play more tonight to explore further. It's worth the time for me to pursue this further. Also please keep in mind I'm an old guy (42) and not a great Madden player by any means. So that may factor in as well.

This make me wonder again if the tuner it's not attached to the patch. Maybe the problem is the tuner.

Let me explain.

When the tuner got released I hate it how it played. So I deleted

Now with the patch the tuner should have been attached to the patch. But since the game is still asking for the tuner. Maybe it's not included on the patch. So delisting the tuner brings gameplay to what it was even though if you have the patch.

Confusing but on madden world anything can happen.

We're in the same boat age wise, I'm 45, and skills and or the way we play. I'm telling ya, it played great. The Cpu ran the ball down my throat. I played mostly cover 2, and didn't commit to totally stop it. But still, it's kinda the way I play. And Cousins threw into my zone to open recievers several times. Just hoping my qb accuracy levels out. The only thing I did was put user int at 35.

I want to emphasize the really small sample size. I was hesitant to share my thoughts based on one half but I was excited to see the difference and wanted to share. However, I don't want to build false hope. The difference was noticeable enough for me to spend more time on it tonight. Like everything Madden, some will like it some won't. This might be a good find CableGuy!
