Also, can you save a game in progress and finish it at a later time.

Having kids makes it tough to play for too long in one sitting.

Thanks in advance!
If fast play is on I can complete full games in around an hour. Hybrid - Broadcast starts inching up towards 2 if I'm watching all the scenes.

If you're looking to get through games faster, quick counts are an option. 20 - 30 minutes is probably a more realistic time for those.

You can save and resume, either from inside the game itself or by putting the PS4 in Rest mode.

anyone out there playing the PS3 version? I have yet to see any framerate issues. everything is silky smooth. the last Show I played was 13 and so far I am very impressed with 16. and as a Cubs fan, I am stoked to be playing with my squad.

I like Battle Royale but the 2 loss/3 inning limit are both too low.

3 and 5 would be perfect.

Have absolutely no clue if the following works, just a guess from left field.

Disconnect from the internet and start the game. See if that works. If you're an online game, close the game and reconnect and restart the game.

Actually it might be fine--I think sunset and full darkness is often later than people realize. Just checking sunset times in Cleveland for example on April 8th, and it's 8:00pm, with something called 'Civil Twilight' at 8:29pm (basically when it really gets fully dark)--so that sounds like it matches up pretty well to what people are seeing. I'm pretty sure that I heard the devs say they use actual sun positioning based on place/time, so it should be rather accurate.

Not sure why you and others are having this issue and if there is one or multiple potential causes, but I feel for you all because the game--when you can play without problem--is great fun. I'm not sure if this will help any of those with freezing problems, but figured I would throw it out there for those of you that are having the issue--specifically for those that have added your own music. I had a sporadic freezing problem a few years ago on the PS3 version of The Show and it was related to certain songs I had imported to my song list. Every time they got cued up, the game froze. I never figured out why it happened with just a few songs and not for the vast majority (corrupt I suppose?). Anyway, if you notice the game freezing right after one song is ending and the next is about to begin, perhaps that could be a reason.

I just played a game in Pittsburgh, 7:05 start and it was completely dark starting the 3rd inning @ 7:47.

The graphics in MLB 16 are awesome. Even better than MLB 15 which was a nice step up from MLB 14. The game still has some warts. But this thread isn't about the warts is it? So I will speak of a couple of small but nice improvements.

1) I have seen plenty of Infield Fly calls by the Umps over the years playing this game. But this is the first year I have ever heard audio of the umps calling the batter out on the Infield Flies.

2) SCEA added new base running animations and I got a huge kick out of watching the Big Pappy running the bases this afternoon when he hit the ball into the gap for a double. I could not help but wonder "I wonder if this is what the Babe looked like when he ran the bases". In fact in mt game today the Big Pappy hit for 3/4s of the cycle. But I don't think we will ever see him get the cycle. Getting that triple is difficult for fast base runners. For guys like the Big Pappy? I just can't see it happen.

I think the time goes by pitches thrown. If you swing at alot of first pitches, thus keeping the pitch counts relativity low, it will get darker later into the game. If you work the count, increasing the pitch counts, then it should get darker sooner.

Time progresses per batter, well at least the shadows.

I have seen them, hit a homerun and got a lot of high fives in the dug out.
So, it's definately there.

Not enough though. Extremely limited if that can even be said.

I have seen the Oakland A's player tunnel run in the dugout only once, during exhibition play now, and haven't seen it ever again. Dug out cut scenes usually consist of showing the manager during the player's homerun trot, challenges at first base, and just a dugout where the players simply stare out into the open field. I wish the dugout would be more active in real time.

You may be right. I paid more attention to what was happening outside after I posted, and it really dint get dark outside until 7:45 ish. So, yeah I was wrong.

Was enjoying my carryover franchise until the data got corrupted. Sad thing is that I didn't have a backup save.

I was in the middle of saving after playing a game and my beagle pup accidentally turned off the power strip that my PS4 was plugged into.

Guess I'll go back to my new franchise.

Wouldn't the save from MLB 15 still be in the cloud? Couldn't you re-load it and only lose the progress you'd made on 16?

Nope I deleted it once I transferred the save like an idiot.

I back everything up on a USB, but I deleted it off the USB once I carried over my save.

Oh well...no biggie. I'll just start over fresh. And definitely use Cloud Storage....
