TRUE! alberto tomba the famous skier was on snow NOT grass!

That said...

Im entitled to my opinion.

the game under the hood might play aesthetically better but i am unsure how you will hit 60 fps and be able offer better graphical quality since this is now the 3rd year on PS4.

In the past I think a player at a secondary position was at 80% effectiveness and out of position was 60%. Has that been changed?

I disagree. I bought my PS4 last year solely due to this game.

I'm guessing it's because it's Sony and they won't (or Microsoft won't) do a game on xbox but I'm curious how much more sales they could have on another console. For that matter, what about PC? It's somewhat interesting to me that it's only a PS game.

SCEA (not San Diego studios) is very conservative with their bundling as opposed to SCEE for example. I think the only 1st party bundles they do are for Naughty Dog, SSM, and Polyphony, aka the big hitters. All others are 3rd party IIRC.

The problem is that having to fill the throw meter half way on a flip is contextual nonsense. A flip should be good at least 95% of the time and with the current throw meter, you have (almost) equal chance of hitting the green zone as with a throw to home from the OF.

Let me rephrase my question in the hopes of it actually being considered. Will the green area in the button accuracy throw meter ever be made more representative of the odds that your throw will hit it's target than it is now? Aka, a flip will have most of the bar be green and a throw home from the OF will be very small to represent how that throw mostly doesn't go exactly where you want it.

I'll be honest, I've read this post several times and I'm still immensely confused. Doesn't SCEA make The Show? And doesnt SDS = SCEA?

And isn't The Show a first party bundle?

If I'm right, SDS is the developer and SCEA is the publisher. Kind of like how EA Sports publishes Madden, but EA Tiburon develops it.

Curious....will AI teams have accurate defensive shifts like in real life...or is it a balance issue with gameplay?

You would have thought they would have explained this more in the gameplay stream. I'd like to know this as well.

I'm assuming you are talking about the button accuracy meter in this particular instance. If that is the case, I'm not sure what you mean by "fill", but I can say that the green spot definitely changes to reflect the differences between an under hand toss and a long distance throw to home from the outfield...as do the mechanics in the other meters. As I suggested earlier, if the button accuracy meter does not feel natural to you, you may want to try the other options/difficulty levels.

I understand that you are essentially asking me if there will ever be 2K's meter in The Show. To that point, I can only say we have a different emphasis in The Show that lends itself to more forethought in the field to simulate players often knowing ahead of time where they will be making a play before the ball is even hit...thus the pre-loading of throws, branching mechanic, etc. I suppose the designers felt this particular meter's functionality furthered that emphasis.

That being said, will there ever be an 2K style meter in The Show? I do not know, but not this year.

Just wanted to make mention, in lieu of the conversation we once had here... Jeremy Hazelbaker just broke three bats in one at-bat in the Cardinals-Dodgers SNB game. Only one of them split (which I iterated previously that we don't see split bats often), but bats break all of the time.

Breaking eight bats in four games should not be a freaky thing to witness.

So, strangely enough, I'd like to see more bats break, but of the other variety... not just all bats that split and shatter.

Full disclosure, the article is mainly talking about bat's that break into two pieces and become a danger rather than a simple split that the batter just walks back to get a replacement and that number is probably hard to track but 8 is a bit high...

Bats that split into two don't happen very much, I agree. I never meant that kind, but to me a broken bat is a broken bat... so the only thing I meant was if SCEA included the other kind, seeing eight shouldn't appear to be a rarity at all.
