I'm interested if they have done any work or tweaking to the difficulty settings.

In particular I am interested if anything has been done to the scaling difficulty system for RTTS. I find it kind of annoying every year having to switch my difficulty as I play because all the opposing pitchers have way too much control at All-Star or lower, and they will pound the zone constantly.

Each and every year I barely walk in the minors because of this, and really don't see pitchers having control issues until I get called up to The Show, where the amount of walks I take increases dramatically.

I made a thread on this a few years ago HERE.

Also always interested to know if they have tweaked Pitch Speed once again.

The second basemen umpire needs a few more new animations. Looks like he keeps looking back to the outfield and then fixing his hat over and over again.

The less repeated animations for umpires, players and fans the better this game will look!

The more Variety the better

They have not done the graphics stream yet...they haven't introduced PBR yet. This has been said multiple times plus posted on the schedule. The game is a WIP it means its not done yet. It's really not this complicated.

yet to show...the show 16?

I have a feeling we will not see any differences in the final builld

Granted last years graphics were decent, but this year i dont think the focus was on graphics at all.

Im just surpised they dont push this title further since its a system seller...

Why do I get the sense that now you're just trolling? But oh, well. If you're serious and you really do think that the game we've seen so far is basically the final build, and that there won't be anything else that hasn't already been seen, then it doesn't appear anything else said here or by the devs will change your mind.

But yeah the grass still has that pale sheen like it's in some type of dry environment; not kept in the greatest shape. Go to most stadiums and the grass is a vibrant green with obviously realistic shading. It is vibrant green at Target Field anyway! I went to a couple games last year and like others have said the grass just glows in the night games. It looks nothing like it does in game at night lol. Not even close. Makes the field look dead in game.

But they have gradually been improving things so there is that.
My, what big khronikos you have!

I forgot about that guy! It always gave me a chuckle that someone with that screen name was so focused on grass.

Really? While we all love this game and it has high praise, this game is not a system seller. Now Uncharted, Last of Us those are system seller's and sell well over millions of copies.

The umps also need to stop doing this they clap a lot ...and don't get me started on the home plate ump and the obsessive behavior with his mask..maybe if he was less focused on his mask fitting correctly, he'd call a ball a ball and a strike a strike!

I have to disagree with you. now it may not be a bigger system seller than the games you have listed, but I know many people, myself included who switched to Sony solely based on The Show.

Well MLB The Show is definitely a system seller for me and is the only real reason I have owned the PS3 and now the PS4.

Question.....

SCEA....(I guess Lorne in particular).....are you guys giving Mookie Betts a 0 in golf cart driving?

Now to my serious question.
There is discussion on the forums about the out of position play and animations.
Are guys who playing way out of position going to be absolutely locked out of certain animations...or are they just likely to not be able to access the animations....and are there new "ugly play" animations for them instead?

Thanks if you can answer.

You are saying that the throwing meter has always worked like this?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5hiuNZFaVs

If you are, all I can say is in '14 the differences were completely imperceptible. I have never seen any difference in The Show between throws from the 3B to 1B while going to the line and a 2B flipping the ball to the 1B from 5 ft away.

OPPs have always been less likely to successfully make certain plays. This year, depending on the situation, they may be locked out of certain animation subsets or have new "ugly play" animations play in their stead.

That is what I am saying in regard to the analog and button accuracy throw meter.

That is a video of 2K11. Our meters are definitely more subtle.

The differences in throw difficulty are most obvious visually in the button accuracy meter. Player attributes, throw distance, type of throw, etc. are all taken into account. The sweet (green) spot grows/shrinks and moves left/right on the meter arc, and the needle speed varies.

Well then it's not accomplishing the intended goal, because the throw I screw up the most by far with button accuaracy, is the double play flip to 2nd to start the double play. As it stands right now, it does not make long or off balance throws tougher than routine throws and flips.

I couldn't really tell you what your issue may be, but you may want to try a different difficulty level or meter. I know the designers tweak these meter every year fine tuning to work exactly as they intended, so maybe you are just using an interface that is not well balanced for your style of play.
