MLB The Show 16 Twitch Stream - Showtime & Road to the Show (Archive Available)

Sony San Diego is Twitch streaming MLB The Show 16 right now, as the team goes over the Showtime and Road to the Show modes.

Watch the stream here. For those of you that miss it, we will update this post with the archive.

UPDATE: The stream has completed, watch the archive here (it starts at roughly the 16:35 mark).

Some notes:

20-80 scale confirmed in Franchise mode
You CAN turn the Showtime feature on/off
New running styles are normal, lumbering, speedster and athletic
Over 600 new animations added, 100's more a dive specific
While running bases, hold L1 for a zoomed in view, L2 for a medium view
Oakley, EvoShield, and All Star are the new equipment brands
New Balance not in this year, maybe next year
No tattoos or face scanning in RTTS
You can view team uniforms in player editor

Back on topic - Ramone almost dropped a hint about a new franchise feature, then changed his mind and said they'd wait for the franchise stream. He did say it was a small thing, but a lot of people have been asking for it for a few years.

What do y'all think they may have been talking about? We have some time until the franchise stream, but it can be fun to speculate in the meantime.

I'm thinking rain delays, or maybe even go as far as rain outs and double headers...

I'm a BIG fan of the new running styles. The idea of making someone who is huge, but Terron Armstead fast is so fun.

One more step in amping this games visual aesthetic. Now when player models get a much needed shot in the arm...

Also wasn't there a physics based tech was added to the engine? Wonder if more will be detailed about how it's improving the game.

I believe Ramone's 'They have been asking for years' nugget was in relation to the uniforms in player editor front screen. The franchise mode sneak peak must have been in a player's card but was held off from showing.

I am willing to bet that its career stats on player card.

Look at the screenshot of the player card screen near the end of the archived stream. He asked if anybody in the chat saw the new feature....personality.

Now we can speculate between now and March as to what the various personalities are but I think we figured out at least one new franchise feature.

He was obviously talking about ***** *** *** and ****... which should make a lot of people happy, after years of requests.

Considering how careful they are with legal issues like the style guide, the cows at Turner, and the scoreboards at Wrigley, I would say it is most doubtful.

No rainouts or delays. That was answered on Twitter.

Anything stats related is major, IMO. Maybe there is something tied to personality that is now built into the player card.

Don't know if it's been pointed out yet but on Encarnacion's player card it listed his career stolen base total. I don't believe that stolen bases have ever been a stat that we could track before.

I wonder if we can actually edit the logo color of batting gloves this year. Really disliked the fact it was tied to the leather color. Especially the 2nd Nike glove.

I'm really starting to think that this is the year that we see expansion teams in the Franchise mode. If not this year it will be in the game soon. I feel the diamond dynasty team creator will eventually end up in Franchise mode somehow soon.

Has this not been a feature that everyone has been asking about forever? That would be epic.

Not going to happen as there is no create a stadium this year.

I have a question about new features. Is it a domino effect when adding new mechanics and such in the game. If you say, put in that new effect that was shown of the rocks for the Angels. Would that mess up old code, or the hundreds of new player animations, do you have to weave that new code into the old code to make it all work and gel together? Re write the code and test it for glitches?
