This has always been a gripe for me. Additionally, when the cpu is on defense and down, they won't call timeouts until the 2 minute warning. Inexcusable that it is still happening in 2015.

I think I am done with this game, no matter who or what i play defenses designed to stop the run do the opposite and its turning me off.

Everyone sit in ZONE, yeah the tuner fixed it but its something else weird going on that other players have figured out and its making for crappy experiences all for the sake of a win. Why is it that safeties can charge into a pile and come out as if there was no one there and make a play in the backfield or recover and cover a receiver he shouldnt have been able to cover after engaging the LOS?

Yeah, im not feeling it no more at all, no type of strategy to this what so ever, its just spam the same crap all day long regardless of what team and personell you're against.

I haven't particularly post tuner.

They've made good TE's too good. LB's aren't as helpless vs TE's as the game makes it out to be. In real life even the quickest TE's don't get off of the line of scrimmage and in and out of breaks at the break neck speed they're able to in the game. There's seldom any contact or wading through traffic. Just a clean release and really fast pass patterns. I think all of the TE's acceleration or release should be toned down. Most TE's are somewhat lumbering guys yet in game they're super quick-twitchy with Ben Johnson-esque first steps.

This is probably one of my biggest pet peeves with the game! CPU RB's don't run hard enough & rarely use their entire arsenal of moves. Elite backs don't seem to stand out either. When I'm playing against the Vikings I should fear going up against Adrian Peterson & should constantly have to stack 8 in the box to stop him. As it stands I can shut him down almost with ease even on All Madden smh. There are times when elite backs are able to get off but it's not consistent enough (I'm not saying they should have great games all the time, I just want the CPU to utilize all moves that a user can pull off). This has been a problem for years in Madden. Maybe if RB's had their own signature animation packages this wouldn't be such a problem.

It was mentioned earlier but I was able to create a video of it last night. Running the ball for me has been really hit and miss. I have only broken a couple big runs and have had quite a few really bad games running. The Chiefs O-Line isn't great but from my experience this has been my biggest issue with trying to run the ball:

This type of thing happens a lot and usually it's not just one guy like it was here, it'll be all 3 or 4 DB's just completely disregarding the pass to make a heat-seeking missile like beeline towards the runner. They were in a Cover 6 and the safety doesn't even take a step back, he just flies towards the middle. Now if that's a high rated safety like Polamalu or Earl Thomas, I could deal with that happening but that's Brock Vereen. 66 AWR, 59 PRC but maybe that actually contributed to that but I doubt it. It doesn't happen every time but when it does it pretty much kills any chance of going anywhere because of how quickly they come up and are able to slither their way untouched into your running lanes.

Yeah and I think this might just be one of those All-Madden things that you just kind of have to deal with because I didn't really notice this at all in the games I played on All-Pro.

Fully disagree. I had Marcellis Bennet take a swing pass on the edge...turn upfield and juke not one but 2 LB's right in front of him to take it in for. 27 yard catch and run TD.

Depends in the ratings of the player etc. i see CPU ball carriers doing more than they ever have before.

I also play no switch defense which imo is a huge factor.

All-Pro

Slow speed.

No doubt big runs do happen, but my problem is that it's not consistent enough especially for elite backs. It's not so much that they're not able to occasionally get off nice runs, it's that they rarely seem to utilize their entire arsenal of moves. I'm not noticing a big enough difference between elite backs & average backs in this regard.

It happens on default All-Pro too. There is usually one Safety/Defensive Back who crashes runs when they are in zone while everyone else takes their initial steps backwards before they recognize run.

The safety never runs up like that on playaction though.

Is anyone else dealing with issues like this? It only happens when I run PA passes but it's like if I even move the stick a hair, this is what happens. All I'm trying to do is step up or move a step to the right or left and it turns into absolute chaos lol.

Is it just me or does it bother the hell out of anyone else that the abbreviation for Los Angeles is LOS instead of LA in Madden?

One thing I would like to point out is how Draft Champions doesn't have offline reporting. If there's an issue with a server mid-game it's best to just go ahead and quit because it won't report the results even after reconnecting to the server post game. It seems a little dated considering years ago Online Dynasties in NCAA were able to report offline games despite mid game disconneection against the CPU. It's not a deal breaker, but considering the seervers have a mind of their own at times (they have been really good for me up to this point) it would be a nice implementation into the game with a patch.

Overall I'm really enjoying the game, but I have the urge to fire up a Franchise and I won't as long as the issues with player progression still stand. It's a beautiful game with refreshing changes to the gameplay from last year's game. I like that I finally have pretty good control of where I put my passes and it's also based on QB statistics. It's very noticeable playing with different quarterbacks around the league.

I'm giving MUT a fair shake this time around and between that and Draft Champions I'm surviving without CFM, but It won't be long before I'll have to take a break until the patch. I would play more online against randoms (I've completed 5 games), but the slight delay in online gameplay can be a little annoying when you come from playing offline against the cpu.

This is also the first year in quite a while where I've enjoyed playing defense and don't feel cheated by the CPU. There have been minimal robo QB moments for me and no games where the likes of Jay ****ing Cutler completes 90% of his passes for 300 yards and 3 TDs.

I've got a few complaints, but it's nothing really worth mentioning right now. I'll give the devs time to sort it out with the patch before I worry about it. I can't wait to fire up my monotonous franchise (let's face it.. this area of the game is in desperate need of some love). The gameplay is enough to keep me going for now. It's fun running various offensive schemes annd watching plays set up beautifully. I no longer feel afraid to call a play action pass for fear of being hammered when the defense has 3 down linemen and a zone. That **** happened way too often last year.

The game plays best on All Pro. All Madden has a few issues with "realism" that irk me too much. If you can find a solid set of sliders like Armour and Sword's on All Pro and maybe make a few of your own tweaks like I did you can really turn this game into something nice.

I'll quit rambling now... solid edition of Madden. It's the best I've played in quite some time.

I am very impressed with this year's game; played a 60 minute game yesterday and hated to see the game end. I actually woke up this morning thinking about this game. This is the first time is many many years that I've been this excited about a football game.

I can't express enough how impressed I am with Madden 16!!! Absolutely loving this game. The way the players interact with each other. The competitive games I'm seeing using Coach Suggestions. And don't get me started on the fact that when there is a penalty you can go and see if play out in replay. It's a fantastic game. In my personal opinion, it's the best Madden to date.

I tested and tweaked sliders for All Madden and the game is awesome and balanced for me
Well, I've played a lot of Madden since the early 90's and it's all-pro for me. This year, with sliders slightly tilted towards the CPU, all-pro provides a much better challenge for me vs previous years.

Other people may feel differently, that's the beauty with options.

Same as me. I've played since very first Madden and my level is somewhere between all pro and all madden. So I just play all pro with sliders towards cpu. Just can't play a level that blatantly cheats. Noone will ever convince me all madden doesn't cheat. Game is tuned on all pro so I start there and adjust as needed.

I have liked this Madden from the first game. It just feels much smoother than other Madden's up to this point.
I don't like that I cannot scout development but I love the combine numbers.

Game Prep

I think we should be able to drill any position.

Why does QB have 5+ drills to choose from and RB has 1 and tight-end have 0?

And of course, it is almost pointless anyway. I have been drilling my rookies who have fast/star development WITH coach trait and I get anywhere from 120-250 xp. That comes out to be around 3500 xp for a season. Why even bother spending the time to go through the drills when at the end of the season I cant raise any significant trait in any significant way. And give up on ever raising an average player to quick. By the time you get his xp raised up, it will be a waste to use xp on development.

With the gameplay being better than it's ever been, I'm desperately missing formations subs now. Scheming and matching up to contain certain players really matters now, so having to make all these switches at the beginning of each game is such a pain.
