there is a sticky on the front page for 32 team control, try that.
It's an online franchise.

Hello the Connected Franchise mode is not playable, after every game the game gets stuck
Is there already a solution?
That makes so no fun.
Does it have something to do with the design?
I play on the PS4 is a sub-account
Can anyone help us that is an image section of an example.

I am sooo tired of having my WRs jumping for a pass when they should be running through the catch. I have missed so many would be TDs because of it. Example - I had a game today where my TE was running a corner route and he beat the safety pretty bad. I put the ball out there for him to go get and instead of just running through the catch he stop , turns and jumps to make the catch which allows the trailing defender to catch up and hit him to knock the ball out.

I am tired of seeing it.

You know, I have to absolutely shake my freakin head at Tiburon (and I despise that phrase and the abbreviation everybody uses these days). Marcus Mariota is given a 63 DAC rating, and a 60 AWR rating. Why the HELL would that make sense, one asks? To keep his OVR from being 'too high!' Now why would they need to do that? Because they STILL have athletic abilities play such a big part in QB ratings. Mariota is a very smart player, and is deserving of much more than 60 AWR. And someone as accurate as he is should NOT have such a piss-poor DAC rating. I raised his AWR to 73, and his DAC to 74, while lowering his THP to 87. The result, he goes from 78 OVR to 85! Because of his high athletic ratings.

The masses would be absolutely frothing if his OVR was too high, so they dicked around with his ratings to make his OVR 'appropriate' for a rookie QB, while making him play completely wrong. I'm sorry, but this many years into Madden, they should have by now come up with a better way to rate QBs. They shouldn't just artificially lower certain ratings just to keep his OVR at a certain place at the cost of truly representing the players as they play on the field.

Awareness isn't intelligence. Mariota is smart but most rookie qbs out of the spread aren't capable of reading defences well which is why he was given a low awareness. Half of his passes in college were play action. The deep ball rating might be low but the rosters aren't perfect and you can edit as necessary.

I'm far more interested if EA will actually talk about the confidence and play drive issue. Haven't heard a peep lately.

I'll sum it up great gameplay but the bugs and broken progression/confidence system lead me to trade this game in.

I want to play a GM mode but feel its ridiculous that I have to implement workarounds to make the base CFM work properly. Not my job if people at EA did their job we'd have a great game.

Guess I'll try NHL or FIFA's GM mode.

I feel same way, love the game but EA truly killed us ever starting our(couple of buddies) yearly CFM. Its very sad, luckily Metal Gear came out and I don't feel bad for this sitting.

I agree. I had an urge to play Madden again last night, but really didn't want to continue my franchise. Rebuilding the Browns isn't fun when my entire team is rated 90 or better after the first drive of the game. So I fired up a play now game with some new sliders I threw together with some inspiration from Jarrod's set and ended up having an awesome time playing. Went up 10-6 on the Giants early, then 10-9 at halftime, next thing I know I am down 31-10 with 4 minutes left. Great game, most authentic looking game of virtual football I've ever played(including APF and 2k5), but in the end, it was just a play now game. I had a great time, don't get me wrong, but I want to be able to play a CFM, build a team, have ups and downs, but I can't. The mode is too broken.

I love what the team has done with the game, but it's still so far from being polished the way a AAA title should be. This is Madden, it's a big title, it's the most popular sport here, it sells, everyone knows the name. It's a good game with piss poor quality polish. It's a shame too because the gameplay on it's own is the best it has ever been, but everything else surrounding it took way too many steps in the wrong direction.

Fair enough, but I really think they need to take athleticism, maybe not completely out of the equation, but make it much less impactful in determining OVR ratings. It should seperate mobile pocket passers like Aaron Rodgers from everybody else, not bump up good athletes with little QB skills.

I skipped the last 3 Maddens but this one is certainly excellent in my opinion. Love the game play and to be honest I'm just having fun. Some of the bugs I notice but I'm not super picky about that stuff (understand why others are though). Played an amazing game last night against the Ravens with the Cardinals that I won 26-22. PP jumped a route and picked off Flacco to seal a win. I've been playing about 2 weeks now.

Wrong thread. This one is for impressions, for people who actually have the game.

Troll somewhere else.

I had to switch from All-Madden to All-Pro. I just couldn't take the ridiculous plays the CPU would make (breaking tackles, defenders speeding up for the ball out of nowhere).

Besides that, here are my biggest problems with the game right now:

1. I love that there actually are penalties this year, but can they please go both ways? I shouldn't have 8 while the CPU has 3 every game.

2. The defenders for the CPU still have a zoom to the ball tactic.

3. I like that it takes QBs a little bit to get going, but it takes too long.

3 weeks in I am still loving Madden 16.

Hands down it is the best console football game I have ever played on the field.

Games feel organic, unpredictable, and player ratings matter big time. Strategy, sub's, watching and using the match-up stick, being able to audible protections on offense, shading on defense, recognizing when the CPU exploits matchups and making adjustments. It is all there. Penalties are a monster addition and have taken the immersion to levels I have not had on any other Madden title.

The WR/DB interactions are outstanding and so much fun to watch play out when you do not user catch (I take control of the receiver after the catch is made). I find the AI most of the time makes great decisions on which catch type to choose for the receiver.

Speaking of AI, QB AI is vastly improved over any other Madden in history. I am also seeing far better sideline awareness from ball carriers and WR's. I am also seeing good to great backs making open field jukes and spins on me (remember I play no switch defense meaning I stick with one player from snap to whistle which makes a huge difference in watching the dice roll player ratings play out, so if the play get's away from my chosen defender my CPU teammates must make the tackles).

If you swtich ALL-Pro will be too easy for any long time Madden player (All Madden players who switch use Jarrods sliders...they are perfect for your type of approach). However if your looking to approach the game in a new way to feel and see more of a simulation in which you "live with the dice role result" it adds so much strategy into team building in the draft and free agency, and play calling strategy.

Listen up. Because I am telling you if try out this way of playing offline vs the CPU I can almost assure you your enjoyment of the game will skyrocket.

If you switch constantly the AI will be gobbled up. It is too easy. I realized this back in the Madden 2005 days.

Obviously online player vs player you will switch. I get it. And in our SOS league the only time you can't switch is when the ball is in the air (and we don't user catch).

But offline the game shines this year with the right approach.

Back to the impressions.

Elite QB's are Elite. Scrubs are scrubs. Fast WR's play different than big possession types. EA really nailed it this season. My hat is off to Rex and his team. On the field the game is playing amazing. Don't change a thing.

Off the field is where bugs and CFM need much needed TLC. I love 32 team control so I can circumvent a lot of the minor issues but I should be able to play a solo CFM without worrying about my own team trading and cutting on my behalf if I have those settings set to "OFF"

I truly hope the team is looking into these CFM bugs (which did not exist on Madden 25 and 15) being cleaned up on the next major patch.

Overall though? Awesome game.....I will be playing this till Madden 17 no doubt.

Offline Draft Champions is fun too. I love playing that mode for some arcade and fantasy draft fun. Online it is pure cheese and I try to tolerate the 14 year olds calling 4 verts all game and hitting a TE up the middle alll freaking game and calling the same defense all game LOL.

Online CFM as always with 32 human owners is platinum. SOS has begun and the league is the best on the planet.

After 3 weeks

8.5/10

After another big patch to solve the stabilty of CFM (a successful patch I might add and hope we get) this game goes to a 9.5

Outstanding job Rex and Co.

Pretty much given up on madden this year already. The earliest point ever. I play franchise and sim most of the games. Only play four a year and like to go through 20-30 years, building and managing my team. The 90% xp cuts mean you can not play this way and have to constantly sign free agents whom of course all you know is their overall. The design for the game to be a game by game and drive by drive grind for xp has ruined it for me. The actual gameplay is great but connected franchise has been ruiNed for me.

On the EA forums people are really going nuts about the CFM autosave freezes... 12 pages worth of complaints and EA have said they're working on it! Absolutely disgraceful by EA

Can't commend the team enough for how well this game plays offline and how each team really plays like their real life counterpart. Recently played against the bills and man does that defense put on a ton of pressure on the qb. Offensively I was burned deep by percy harvin several times. Once for a 64 yard td over the free safety. Once i got coverage down I got absolutely gashed by taylor's running ability and ended up having to put a spy on him.

Despite their low rating, the bills were an extremely tough team to play against. Which is a breath of fresh air in a sports video game. Teams play to their strengths and like many have said in this thread; individual player ratings really stand out.

When it comes to X's and o's madden is in with the elite titles.

Where madden falls short for me is in the animation department. Its not so much the quality or quantity of the animations; as i feel they did a great job with the so many different wr/db outcomes. My issue is the speed at which all animations transition into/play out. A player going from a 1. running animation to a 2. catch animation to a 3. tackle animation plays out at 3 different speeds. While it is a very complicated system, i know transitions can be smoother (ala fifa) and in my opinion much slower. There are certain animations that just happen way too quickly such as false start or offsides animations. Almost in a blink of an eye. What animations they really nailed are the play action plays. I wish all animations played out at this speed.

What get me excited is the excellent foundation that the gameplay mechanics are built on. Tackling and Wr/DB both made their debuts this year and I expect them to make bigger strides next year. Line play has the logic, however the animations could be much improved in my opinion.

What I wish to ask is that animations continue to be ratings dependent. I love the fact that qbs have accuracy ratings for low, medium, and long passes. This level of detail in ratings is what makes plays feel more authentic. I hope they dive deeper into this way of thinking for players. One type of rating/ability i would love to see for DE's is a "set the edge" rating. Stuff like this is what I now look for when I continue to learn the X's and O's madden has taught me.

As I continue to play the game. I am impressed with what the team has finally accomplished however left a little underwhelmed knowing the game isn't where the team wants it to be just yet.

I really have to disagree that the game plays like real NFL football. I've tried a couple of the more popular community sliders sets and I'm about to just go back to All-Pro default. I liked the game initially even with it's faults, but the near-complete lack of appropriate OL/DL play has really been turning me me off more and more and causing the games other issues to stand out that much more. You almost have to ignore that key aspect of football isn't there because it's rendered so poorly with the flag football-like blocking and interaction. So far I've been chalking it up as me needing to learn the game more, having been away from videogame football for so long. But to me the OL/DL play needs some serious work before it resembles what we see on Sundays, and without it, I have a hard time feeling like it resembles a real NFL game.

The game does give a lot of options in terms of the various line shifts and protections you can use, or options you have on defense. But it seems difficult to scheme in the way that occurs in real life, with using an unbalanced line, calling line stunts, masking coverages, etc. Or maybe it's that those options are only for certain plays. Either way some of those frustrations make the too-frequently occurring one handed catches or overly-wonky animations stand out that much more. I think the ratings system does a good job of displaying a range of skill/ability, but there doesn't seem to be a system in place or the ratings aren't extensive enough to render real-life player tendencies to make players feel unique.

I think it's definitely a much improved game from the past for sure. And it can be fun at times. But I don't see how it resembles NFL football at this point, for me. My desire to play has definitely waned after that first week. But it's good enough to where I'm going to keep trying, to see if it's my lack of knowledge about the game, or the game itself

I want to like Madden this year due to the look and feel of it, but I can not get passed a couple things. One, the most important, their refusal to clean up old code and fix bugs that existed last year and probably prior to that. That is inexcusable. And it is a bad sign to the community. New bugs are also present so should we expect those to go unfixed as well?

CFM also, despite what they said, did not get enough improvements. They did make some needed changes but for a game where a lot of old code was used, it disappointing they could or would not add or change more of what most wanted.

I will be in the minority I suppose, but I will not be purchasing this game next year unless I know theyve addressed bugs first and foremost. If they same crap is in next years, again, they wont get money from me. I wish more would take the same stance to send a message.

I have found / seen weird happenings on a player franchise ( QB ).. I will move up and down the field no problem making throws but once I get inside the 20 really weird things always happen. Either my players just flat out drop wide open passes for no reason at all or my QB will throw the ball 10 - 20 yards away from the intended player.

On out rights I have wide open guys be overthrown and have the ball go way way out of bounds. Or on INs / Slants they will be open but my QB will throw 10 yards in front of them directly to a LB or Safety. Never happens in other situations. Like clockwork. I cant even play this mode as a QB and have fun because of it.

Normal franchise seems okay but it there are other problems there anyway.

# 540 PhilBuc @ 09/19/15 01:58 AM
Madden 16 gameplay is great and I am enjoying the game. However, the sloppiness of the presentation and all of the errors are un-immersive. There seems to be no passion behind the Madden series as there is in NBA 2K and even other EA Sports titles like NHL and FIFA.
Last year, all of the cameramen on the sidelines were identical and even wearing shorts in the snow - how in the world did that ever make it into the retail code, how lazy and sloppy are the developers? ... Sure that was somewhat fixed this year, but there are tons of new sloppy errors like that in this year's Madden. It's a never ending cycle. I am 100% serious when I say I could have pointed out a dozen + sloppy art issues in 3 or 4 games played. How does stuff like this get by the entire development cycle??

I have the answer... the answer is, Madden is the only NFL game in town thanks to a stupid agreement from the NFL and EA Sports. EA Sports knows that gamers, even myself, will buy their game because it is the ONLY NFL game in town. The sad thing is, THAT is THEE ONLY reason why most people buy it. If and when there is completion again, that is when EA Sports will hire some passionate developers to develop the Madden series. Until then, we are subject to this.
