Just played my first game in CFM on all madden after playing on all pro the past week. I was pleasantly surprised, it was only one game but it didn't really feel cheap like all madden in the past. Defenders weren't making ridiculous plays and the offense was stoppable but efficient. Cpu pass rush was stout getting in on me pretty easily leading to me throwing 4 picks but all in all it felt good.

Realistic?
Rodgers tossing 3 ints isn't, expecially against the Bears.
But I do agree the game plays very nicely. I played vs Dallas last night and swapped Hundley for Rodgers and the dropoff is huge between the 2.
Dallas utilized Bryant/Witten early and often. Just wish the patch would drop.
Has anyone shanked a punt or a kick? On All Madden, I have, just my fault on the stick. Love it. Kicking is more challenging, and one mess up cost me a game.

Played a game last night that just went full "All-Madden mode" on me. I thought I was honing in a decent pair of sliders and had been having some really good games so I decided to start a makeshift Play Now CFM and play the Texans and got beat 41-6 in a hilarious beatdown.
There were a couple plays in particular where I was playing Cover 2 man and Cover 3 and on the Cover 2, my SS randomly decided that he was going to blitz instead of playing his deep zone and I gave up a deep bomb in one-on-one coverage. Then on the Cover 3 my corner Sean Smith completely abandoned his deep third coverage to essentially play man-to-man on a shallow cross while they threw a TD on a wide open corner route where he was supposed to be.
I was basically getting beaten from the jump though after I gave up a TD on the first drive and then on my first play of the next drive I threw a curl to Maclin and no sooner did it touch his hands was he getting hit and the ball came out but they ruled it a fumble. Then they reviewed it, but for a trap catch, not an incomplete pass and it stood. The fact that I was down so early probably had something to do with this but they must have ran the same shotgun inside zone run at least 25 times and I ran into similar issues in other games where teams ran the same play for almost half their plays.
I really wish they would add a break block and run awareness slider to run D sliders as well because that is the biggest issue I come across. I watch their safeties just crash the line as soon as the ball is snapped on my side and my guys are just willing volunteers to one-on-one blocks that they don't ever try to get off of.
All in all it seemed like a fluke game as it's the first one of M16 I've played that has been that bad. Going to play at least 5-10 more before I reevaluate though. Might play the first eight games and then kick it back to All-Pro and jack up the CPU.

Love the gameplay. Unfortunately, almost unplayable with the glitches that plague franchise mode. Have to restart my franchise after 2-3 games each time as the game doesn't save my progress. Boots me back to the main menu without saving my franchise. Game breaker for me. Haven't heard of many others with this issue.

I had an issue sort of like that. I played 2 games in Franchise(offline) and it saved and I know it saved because I went in a time or two after just looking at rosters, etc. Then I tried Draft Champions once. Then went back to play next 3rd Franchise game and it was reverted back like I only played 1 game. It was at the point to play 2nd game again. So I deleted it and haven't played since.
The AI logic can be pretty whacky sometimes...
I had a test CFM with the Jags where they drafted a QB 1st overall, then drafted a second QB with their first pick in the 2nd round then decided to start the second rounder over the first overall pick.
Also, seem like the Patriots get rid of Garoppolo 90% of the time, he's signed for 3 years so I'm assuming he's being traded.

best game of football in quite some time. Still upset some of the minor things like playing a game in cold weather continue to be overlooked. The gameplay is really getting there though. the physics still need A LOT of cleaning up but it is a video game.
the blocking at the 2nd and 3rd levels of the defense is MUCH improved. I love how lineman "look up" somebody to pancake down field. This makes the running game fun as hell.
the debacle that is CFM is really holding this title back right now. A SOLID custom franchise mode would be really nice right now. Its time to scrap the CFM "mold" and give up back the control we all want and deserve. It just seems every friggin year it is something that makes this mode a headache or virtually unplayable for some.

Playing more I have one more thought that falls under "legacy".
The 3-4 base defense needs a complete overhaul. Technique, philosophy, assignments and how important the front 7 plays off one another in their runfits, blitzing and flow are all wrong.
Would love to see them devote more time to the 3-4 and defensive playbooks overall for Madden 17.

i guess it was more the variety of play I was talking about. Every game has a feeling of just about anything can and will happen despite player ratings.
Like I just played indy as the Bills, and i forced Luck outta the pocket and he broke three blind tackles by super mario, williams and detruel all in a row and threw it for a 40 yard strike to Johnson.
The following play on a play action i sent a corner on a blitz and and Luck lowered his shoulder to the oncoming CB and lost the ball on the hit.
it's the variety of not just no two games being the same, but no two plays.

1.) Since when can a safety run 15 yards from the secondary, and stop a 220 lb. RB at or behind the line of scrimmage? Where does EA get this stuff?
2.) Since when have you seen in the NFL a zone cover 4 stop two Tight-End run packages consistently?
This is how you find money plays or nano blitzes yearly. Because the gameplay never performs like real life or sim.

On a positive note, The CPU qb play is so much better on all-pro this year. Playing against Romo he would buy time outside the pocket and kill me. The improved cpu qb play combined with new WR improvements makes madden 16 a huge improvement.

Having a pretty good time playing the game so far. The only issue is the OBJ catch animation which seems to happen at least once per game. Doesn't result in a catch all the time, but the animation is becoming annoying.
