Stafford had a scramble on me. Kellen Moore was killing me with runs until one run he decided not to slide and I knocked him out of the game

Ok now that I have gotten in almost a 12 games in offline CFM, some Draft Champions, and online with some SOS brothers in anticipation of our season to kick off soon here is my impressions of Madden 16
Pros
1. Refined, smooth and functional - The new passing controls are just amazing. being able to throw perfect touch passes at their highest point and watch an elite WR go up and grab it is a thing of beauty. What's even more awesome is when I have a guy like Jordy Nelson going up with Richard Sherman and seeing that war play out. Whether is is a catch, a pass defended, a pass punched out into the air and a pick being made right before it lands on the ground or are you ready for this? Defensive Pass Interference!!!! The new fight for the ball WR/DB interaction are dope. Also the throw types are spot on. The double tap the icon pass to fit it in over DL's paws going up as well as a LB....freaking awesome. The comeback routes with low trajectory....fantastic. The RAC catch type playing out...amazing. What I also love is the ratings based CPU decisions to let these catches play out. I play no user catch and thus far the CPu makes great decisions on which catch type to use. It is a game changer this feature.
2 QB Accuracy - it works!!!! My god it really works!!! Last night, using Johnny Manziel....I was miserable. he could not hit the broad side of a barn and threw 2 pick six's! One to Revis Island and one to Cromartie. As it should happen!!! He stunk on medium and long throws but excelled with SAC and on the run throws. QB's have unique personalities this year and are all like their real life counterparts. EA...leave it alone. It is wonderful and thank you for listening. The new QB evasion controls by flicking your right stick are amazing and look so real.
3. Running game - best ever in Madden bar none. Follow the blocks, let the play develop, RB's have subtle moves that feel real and some back scan do different things like jump back, slide between, bounce or simply go into beast mode.
4. Penalties - Wow.....just wow. It really is amazing how much difference it makes to the overall immersion and flow of the game to working penalties. Bravo EA.....and finally!!!!!!
5. Graphics - simply stunning. Madden is one of the premier looking sports games today. I do want better player models in the future and more signature motions and styles but they are getting there.
6. Modes - Draft Champions is a hoot. It is wide open, easy to play and a lot of fun. Plus it is highly addicting. So as a break from CFM it is very welcomed. I don't really play MUT but may dabble in it here and there. CFM.....I can't review it. No purpose because in it's current state I can't play it.
7. Tackling - Fantastic and the best it has ever been.
Those are the big highlights. I have not sunk into CFM yet. I don't want to as we need that patch which leads me to......
Now let's talk about the negatives. And why I gave this an 7 out of 10 instead of what I felt was going to be a 9-9.5 out of 10.
1. Bugs - The game shipped with far too many bugs now to list. In this day and age...this should not be happening anymore. I get the fact that they can patch games. But more and more we are seeing it as a crutch to quality control. It is quite apparent to me we are the beta testers now. Why pay when we buy and test for them. But delaying the start of our CFMS by 3-4 weeks (we hope) is a big no no in my book. Not only the CFM bugs which are ugly ones. But how about the fact the Defensive camera which made it's debut on M15 and was amazing has been either changed or bugged this season. It is clearly not the same camera and it needs to be patched back to how it functioned on Madden 15. Really a huge huge let down thus far. Human controlled teams all settings set to manual making trades? WTF how is this happening and how can a game ship like this? No excuse at all for this hot mess in CFM......it is a huge issue. Commentary bugs are all over the place too. I am hearing new ones every game. So presentation which really was not touched at all (save for some better replay angles, huddle breaks and some other nice new additions) is bugged with play by play and color. Again how and why a game ships like this?
The fact we have probably the buggiest Madden (along with M13) in recent memory and this shipped in this state has curbed my enthusiasm early here on release week.
I know Tiburon is working day and night to get us a patch to address the big CFM issues, but others are cropping up and this game will require another major patch no question to get the game where it needs to be.
But gameplay wise....please don't touch a thing that will change the core, heart and soul of what they did this season. The game is a great big step in the right simulation nation direction.
If everything get's ironed out here in the next 2 months this is a 9.5/10 game for me.....it's that good. But until then I can't give it higher than a 7 because the core mode I play is not playable out of the box.
That is not good.
Once the CFM patch drops I will revisit the impressions thread with some updated thoughts.
In the meantime, play the game, get comfortable with all the new robust passing mechanics, running game and DB controls, practice your playbook, hone into your settings and most of all have a lot of fun while we wait for a critical patch to get our core CFM playable for the new season.

Quite the cynical view.

CPU QB's run on me.
My problem is my QB has only done in twice (Coach mode).. so that's a bummer.

I had Russell Wilson burn me three times last night with no WR's open and burning me for long gains.

Heck, even on All-pro default, Jay Quitler took off a few times.
If only our (USER) QB's would run (Coach mode)... I'd be very happy

I had CPU Blaine Gabbert take off against me for 36 yards (lol). Also played a quarter against CPU RG3 while I was testing some other things and he was pretty apt to take off if there was an opening.
CPU RG3 also threw a pass directly at Barry Church which was an interception and wasn't even close to completion, but that's another story haha.
Default All-Pro for both these games, btw.

Why do you keep trying to put this stuff out there?
Well I finally got my copy today and, well, I suck
Back to the drawing board for me!
I got whooped by the Cowboys on All-Pro. 35-0. Romo passed all over me (Witten put up huge numbers), and McFadden ran all over me, too. I couldn't get zip going on offense and didn't do anything on D.
It looks like I'm going to have to learn how to play better, that's for sure!!

I continue to dislike the cheat system, or whatever it is called, where the CPU plays at an unstoppable rate at certain times...
Decent game with some improvement but I'm not seeing the drastic improvement everyone is talking about.
