Now don't get me wrong, I don't want trades for the sake of trades. I want teams to make a push and try to make the playoffs and improve their teams.

Now what I do agree on is the trade logic is really good. Sometimes I see head scratchers, like Tanaka being traded 3 times in one season, in a sim I just did.

I like that Offseason trades are back in this year as well. That brings a lot of new life to the game. I just wish they would not sign players then immediately trade them.

I would also like to see a few more August trades. I liked the way they were in previous years.
But they have to sign and trade don't they? In the game you cannot trade a player without a contract. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're saying.

This right here.

Baseball rules prevent players from being traded until June 15 after signing a free agent deal. The game used to have that in. A prompt used to come up that said "this player was recently signed and cannot be traded."

But what is happening sometimes in the offseason, I made a bug report for this, a team is trading a free agent and then that team signs him. So for instance Heyward is a free agent in the offseason.

The Red Sox then trade him to the Dodgers and receive a player. The Dodgers then sign him.

You start trying to take things out and speed things along, you will affect the game in a negative way. Baseball is a beautiful sport. It has a charm and persona that no other sport can claim.

Too bad that MLB and SCEA are bowing to the "What's next? - Gotta go" generation.
That is not where baseball comes from.
You also need to remember - It's a baseball video game. That's the way the entire world is going now - people just don't have time to sit for an hour to play an entire game these days.

Just a couple things that I don feel got addressed in this patch, or may have but I haven't noticed yet.

1) every player having 5 caught stealing stats to begin the franchise or season.

2) pitchers or players getting a hit and having the announcer and statistic saying it was his 3000th hit.

3) slider bar not having a noticing effect on computer pick off attempts.

4) sometimes the game opens up right to the first player at bat without doing he full lineups and pitching intros.

These are the only things I was hoping to be fixed. Other than that this game is totally badass!! Especially with OSFM rosters!

Which is such a sad state of affairs and just so very sad as whole. I hope I am never one of these people........EVER!

To add on to this thought. The Show developers have added so many features for those that want to play quicker games. Quick Counts, Fast Play etc. I do not begrudge people these features. But why take away features for those of us that don't want to play quick games. You have scenes of Pitchers wiping sweat off their brow, split screens of the pitcher batter duel, mascots rallying the crowd, how much longer does it take to show a foul ball or a batter walk up?

All I am saying is these have always been in the game, why take them out now?

My bad. I completely misunderstood your post. Sorry tabarnes

total trades:29

test 2
April 3 trades, May 3 trades, June 6 trades, July 9 trades (1 deadline), aug 1 trade, sept 0

A 2017 sim had 25 trades.

I would routinely get 20-29 trades

Post patch most seasons have between 14 and 18 trades. MLB has numerous trades per year and I think an average of 25 was good. The 16-17 average that I am getting now is a little disappointing.

Also if you plan on not having instant trades on, I only see about 4-7 trades per year.

This is one sim I had. I'm also seeing players traded in the offseason as soon as they are signed.
Hey man, are you seeing what we were discussing earlier pre-patch?

Specifically how there were an ok number of trades being offered that were not being accepted?

Because honestly, pre-patch, if I had committed to making sure most of the offers went through using 30-team control, I would have been happy. Still way too low, but with me doing that, I would have seen on average around 22-25.

Are you seeing the CPU reject a lot of trades?

Yeah, but there are also people who will play GTA V for 13 hours in a single setting. It takes all types.

I understand that. I'm a long session player myself. But we buy the game no matter what. To bring in casual gamers, you need to shorten the time to play a full game.

That's not the point. The post he responded to made it seem that this was something no one or very few wanted. That's simply not the case.

I am all for more options, my point was there those of us who like the new presentation.

I'm not sure. I tried one sim without instant trades and only saw 4 trades. I'm seeing anywhere between 8-20 trades post patch with instant trades, so I am assuming that is what will be for you to allow.

Alot of major league rp for minor league starting pitchers. I also see that no one is on the trade block in August and fewer now through the season. That may be why there are fewer trades. When I try to add players to the block with 30 team control the cpu clears it the next day.

You should file a bug report on them clearing out the trade block. I would highly doubt it's intended to work that way.

8 trades in a season has to be unintended too; unless SCEA has shifted their strategy on how frequent they want them to be on the front end.

Anyway, please fill out a report man. I'm really hoping they can up the frequency somehow and hopefully there's just a bug going on.

Anyone noticed any differences when hitting? Ive only played one game so pretty much no sample size at all. Had 10 runs on 18 hits and 3 HR. Just curios what others are seeing.

It goes for any McCutchen on any roster, it was put into a patch not roster update.

Whoever is starting for the Royals tonight (Ventura?) made me look like a buffoon at the plate. 98 mph fastball with an 80 mph 12-6 hook.

I'm guessing I'll have to start over and import from 14 again to get those players back in my RTTS? Or in my '15 RTTS where Kris Medlen became Robbie Bullinger, will Bullinger magically become Kris Medlen again after I apply the patch?
Don't know who that handful of players were that were fixed in Y2Y saves, but Kris Medlen isn't one of them. Tried importing my '14 RTTS and he still becomes fake. I didn't really understand the whole thing with why he isn't allowed since it doesn't seem consistent because Harvey is in the game, but oh well I had accepted him not being there anyway.

If five or ten minutes is really going to make or break a game for someone, they probably don't like the game that much in the first place.
It also brings up the larger question: why, with this new generation of consoles, are features, cut-scenes, and methods of customization being removed instead of added? I'm speaking only of sports games, because that's really all I play.
For some of us, 5 or 10 minutes, especially over a 162 game season actually is a big deal.

Anyone having this issue with RTTS? After creating a RTTS player initially, if you try to edit the player's outlook (e.g. hair, eye, face shape), the change is not reflected in the portrait of the player (in the RTTS menu, such as the league leader menu, expectation menu, player card)?

I know this is a minor thing that is not a game breaker, but just want to confirm if this is a general issue or just with my save.
