NBA 2K15 Patch #4 Available Now, Primarily Addresses Shoe Issues

NBA 2K15 patch #4 has been released for PlayStation 4 and PC users. It is not available yet for Xbox One users. The patch primarily addresses the shoe issues in the game, more specifically in MyCAREER mode. You can see the workaround here.

After you download it, let us know what you are seeing. Once 2K releases the patch notes, we will update this post.

UPDATE: (via @Ronnie2K) Another thing addressed last night was fix to deal w/ rare occurrences that led to NBA 2K15 MyPARK rep being stuck. Should no longer happen.

if you play with shot grades turned on, you would notice the difference in shot grades right away.

pre patch i would get C- to B- for open shots with slightly early or late releases, after the patch those shot grades are B to A- for the same shots.

I use Real FG%, so that may have something to do with it.

Well... this patch ruined the game for me. I can't defend anyone anymore online. It was a struggle before the patch and now it's completely impossible. I don't like to lose and i was doing good (even as one of the few in that cheesefest myteam mode who uses a REALISTIC lineup) before the patch, the game had clear flaws but nothing truly game breaking. I was on a nice 7-1 run before the patch and now after the patch i went 1-6, including some blowouts. The only win i got was meant to be a joke since i was completely fed up at that point... I was going to see how many points i could get with korver, ended up with about 45...

I might give the park another chance but that seemed pretty bad as well a couple of days ago. I suppose i could always go offline and hope to find decent sliders but yeah... not really my thing. I hope they just go back to patch #3 but i won't be holding my breath.

It looks like this might be the first nba 2k game (fyi i've been playing since 2k5) that i'll be quitting before the next releases. I just can't take the bs anymore: the zigzag, the baseline, the screen suction, etc etc.

GTA online, here i come.

You started losing so you said the patch sucks. Not exactly the best way to judge a patch. Again it doesn't change 3s from what we know and we were told it only upped open mid range shots. . Don't let your success or lack thereof determine if you like a patch

The hitch dribble needs to come back, its way too easy to drive on the CPU with a pick. Smh @ 2K catering the ******s. I have no idea what sliders to use to deter me from easily destroying the CPU on Superstar with the Nets. I use Real Player%, all the shot meters and crap turned off. Idk ill keep experimenting ...

Then you should bump it up to HoF. There are also numerous threads in the slider forums to look at as well. Removing the hitch dribble had nothing to do with "******s", it was an animation that almost no reason to trigger.

Lol. So you though 2k should force you into an animation that is completely unnecessary and that you don't need. Lol. Best idea once again is change the difficulty and sliders.

That animation definitely needed to be removed. If 2k needs to up the defense that's another story, but saying they should stop you from driving by forcing you into a bad animation is crazy

I was messing with the sliders, even on 0 I was making shots. I just need to somehow delete this patch.

moving the sliders to 0 doesnt do what you think it does.

it actually makes the players true ratings come out. so if you put the sliders to 0 it would just mean that players who are good shooters would still drain buckets.

My Player mod. There is very little to nothing I can do about the high FG%. My created C even at 90 in defense can still be taken at a rate of 50% FG by the player he is guarding. It used to be 40% on average. Now, it is 50% on average. And this is on pro difficulty and sim.

Totally agree.

Played a game in the rec center tonight where 2 guys did the whole crossover until you get an inch of space and fire up a 3 move every time, while 2 guys held their junk under the basket out of bounds until the shot went up. With the shooting being easier with this patch, the shots usually went in, and when they didn't the junk holders would grab a majority of the rebounds. It was just miserable to play against and a huge waste of time.

How it's fun to play like that boggles my mind.

Thank you. Even on Real Player%, shots go in at a high clip. Everyone shoots like Ray Allen or drives like Lebron. Smh@the direction 2K is going. I put the midrange and 3pt slider on 30 they still shoot at a high clip. It's broken. YouTube videos will be out to alay this dragon, so for now I guess I'll be giving up 2K until hopefully 2K16 is better.

I agree with most of the above. I also shoot with user timing. Had all my sliders and settings exactly where I wanted them. The game played really well, and had a flow to it. This patch changed everything. It doesn't even feel like I'm playing the same game. I might just put this aside, and wait for The Show to release. Am highly disappointed.

I've been under the impression since launch that 2K and Sony have an agreement. Whether it's frendly or monitary is not up for debate. Seeing as 'The Stage' launched on PS4 a month before X1 gives me that initial impression. Whenever you watch any videos, 2KTV, etc they are all run on PS4. And previous patches were all released on PS4 weeks/ month before X1

Again, why is not a question or argument I'm creating. Just my 2 cents. As a X1 user I'm bummed because I really want to see what all the fuss/ joy is about. As a 98% home Mac user I don't really care, just an observation.

I wish I could receive patches sooner, and I really wish I had a solid baseball game to play on X1. I like the X1 controller so much better. And, as a cord cutter (3 years since I last paid for cable) I love SingTV is finally on X1.

I 100% agree. My offline sliders were perfect (for me). Now with the latest patch, I am in sliders hell. Game lost it's flow.

And I still cant believe in today's high tech consoles, we cannot just delete a patch. Seems like such a basic option to give us, on such an advanced console.

So according to some of you guys, 2k should just butcher shooting again (if a patch comes, shooting will be even WORSE than pre-patch 4), so they can appease a few people? Uh, no.

But you know what? I hope they DO patch it, this time making shooting as a whole even WORSE than the 3-pointer patch in 2k11 (or might've been 12). And I KNOW long timers remember THAT one.
