NBA 2K15 News Post

NBA 2K15 patch #4 has been released for PlayStation 4 and PC users. It is not available yet for Xbox One users. The patch primarily addresses the shoe issues in the game, more specifically in MyCAREER mode. You can see the workaround here.

After you download it, let us know what you are seeing. Once 2K releases the patch notes, we will update this post.

UPDATE: (via @Ronnie2K) Another thing addressed last night was fix to deal w/ rare occurrences that led to NBA 2K15 MyPARK rep being stuck. Should no longer happen.

I was just making fun of it. Giving your game to someone else to sell is the lazy way. If you sell your own games, phones, or other items you always make 3x more, even after ebay takes fees, or even after gas on craigslist, etc.

You just gotta be proactive enough to actually put something in the mail with an address, send someone tracking info, and actually care (So you get good feedback)
Or you could just buy all your games new to actually support the devs. Game is currently under $20 on Steam, and the devs actually make money since they're selling a new copy rather than a used disk from Gamestop/Craigslist

A good rule of thumb. Think more about your finances than a multimillion dollar company. Support them on release day or black Friday to get your money's worth. Besides if you don't buy that used copy someone else will.

I'm not against supporting the devs, maybe when it's a $5 difference or so, just buy in store... And again. I suggest buying at launch. I've actually bought this game 3 times lol. I made a profit twice. Bought at launch. Sold for $45 before black friday, bought afterwards for $30. Sold for $35. Bought later for $20. Selling freed up my money to buy other games. And I bought it later when I wanted to play again.. or when a good patch came out..

Speaking of patches.. xbox one patch.. why????

On a side

Are you sure the patch #4 is out on PC?

Just simmed through a season in a new MyLeague savegame:
- Wade lost 5 points overall
- Kyrie Irving has not improved by a single point at the age of 23 (was not injured) and a A potential rating
- Several players at the age of 29 lost points overall

Patch #4 is definitely out on PC. What you reported, on it's own, sounds pretty normal.

One player regressing 5 points, especially Wade, is nothing too crazy.

One player already at an all-star level failing to improve in one season is nothing too crazy.

29 year old players are historically on the downswing of their careers so that doesn't sound too crazy either.

What about totally deleting the game from my PS4 then doing the whole install game thing again. Will that bypass all patches and put it back to the original gameplay?

What about the patch for Xbox One? a month later again?

Cheers!

Keep in mind the regression fix doesn't apply to old myleagues.

I know you said new but you also said savegame

Microsoft is gonna end up losing customers if this keeps up. Even if it isn't their fault.
Wasn't it the complete opposite when 360 and PS3 were current gen? If I recall PS3 players had to wait just like XB1 players are right now for many games.

Has the Xbox One received this patch yet? I know 2k said the patch was on its way soon, however when I played this morning things seemed to be the same on my end.

What I want to know as an xbox one strictly offline user is are people having these problems with shooting using real fg%? That's all I use and love the game right now on Patch 3. I use the simworldgaming rosters and sliders which are in tune with patch 3. I'm worried that downloading the patch (whenever that may be) will ruin everything!

Of course we have no updates. Again. They patched the game 4 times. Great support. They communicate great on the forums. If they could only be up front and honest about the patch delays and not lie about what happened.

I'm sure the devs make more than enough money from vc sales.

NBA 2K15 was the perfect basketball simulation in my opinion (offline) with the third patch. This 4th patch has ruined my experience, as I play offline most often. There has to be some way to apply certain patches STRICTLY to online play and if there isn't currently, I really hope the dev's can figure out a way to do so ASAP. It is frustrating to have a game play perfectly(for offline players at least) one day, and then the next day be forced to download a patch that completely changes this... an offline player, in cases such as this, experiences none of the benefit, just the annoyance. It is not always as simple as adjusting sliders when hard coded aspects of the game are altered... the sliders cannot always adequately compensate for the changes; especially those which impact the AI.

This seems to be the principal issue year after year with patches and requests to alter gameplay; Online players want one thing, Offline another. They are two different experience and addressing an issue in one often creates an issue in the other. Each seem to get what they want for a few months, then it goes the other way. There has to be some alternative.

I agree. The only good this patch has done for offline players was help MyLeague regression, and that was a huge thing. However, the shooting is so easy you can get perfect releases with a 30 rating mid range player. What's the point of ratings then? I've been messing around with sliders as have many others, and no matter how much adjusting is done, it still doesn't appear to be as realistic and fun as the gameplay changes in patch 3.

I've also been saying that. Offline and online are essentially two different games. You can't patch this game up and expect that both sides aren't going to be negatively impacted.

# 418 zrohman @ 03/20/15 10:02 PM
I agree with many others though as well.

I'm sure it's too easy...

But before it was just a roll of the dice. No matter how well I learned my players I could only get 1-2 green releases a game. Every other time is a complete roll of the dice and based ZERO on skill. It's based on the skill of getting open but not actually shooting. They need to find a good balance between the skill of shooting AND the skill of getting open.

We as a community have a responsibility in this too.

I'm laughing at some of these guys talking about how 'great' 2k was after patch 3, and how patch 4 ruined it....and I'm like "wow, judging 99% of your posts in the forum I figured you thought the game was horrible". This is exactly what I was going for when I made that thread about 2k keeping momentum after patch 3.. We play a part with the nature of feedback were giving...

agreed the game after the 3rd patch fro offline gamers didnt need to be touched.
the experience is ruined.
the game is too heavily offense oriented now. shooting for both user and Ai way to easy.
game plays faster. and now Im back to adjusting sliders. I havent had to adjust sliders sine the 1st week of release.

Id like to know is there away to remove the patch.
