NBA Live 15 News Post


Another NBA Live 15 title update has arrived this morning. It includes Christmas uniforms and weighs in at 948 MB. The patch is currently available on the PlayStation 4.

We will update this post once it is available on Xbox One and/or we get any additional information on the update.

UPDATE: NBA Live 15 title update #2 will be available for Xbox One users tomorrow. Below are the details, taken from the official blog, which contains more than 400 improvements.

UPDATE #2: The blog has been updated. The patch will not arrive on Saturday, it has been changed to "Coming Soon".

Synergy will affect rosters both offline and online. If a player doesn't dress, he will not be available in online or offline Play Now. This will not affect Dynasty, Rising Star or Ultimate Team.

Added 15 scanned player heads including:

CHRISTMAS DAY UNIFORMS
Added uniforms that teams will wear on Christmas Day

LIVE ULTIMATE TEAM
More than 50 bug fixes, as well as an improved interface for LUT Fantasy Challenges. Also added Quicksell Value view to Items, as well as Pack Bundles.

THREE-POINT SHOOTING
Adjustments to three-point shooting percentage and effectiveness, for both CPU and User controlled teams.

CONTESTED LAYUPS
Tuned collisions and contests when driving the lane and going up for a layup for more varied results. Expect more misses if there is heavy contact in the paint.

SIGNATURE JUMPERS AND FREE THROW ROUTINES
Added more authentic shooting animations for players around the league.

SHOT TIMING
We’ve made timing for releasing your shot more forgiving for both online and offline play. Now, the timing feels more natural and predictable.

BALL TRAJECTORY AND PHYSICS
Tuned the shot arc and rim physics for more organic shot types and results. Gone are the days where every made three-pointer is a swish.

DEFENSIVE BITE AND PUMP FAKE ANIMATIONS
Players will recover much quicker and have better overall positioning while defending dribble moves and fakes.

INBOUND PLAYS
Tuned the AI during inbound plays to be more responsive and initiate more movement.

SHOT FEEDBACK METER
Enhanced the feedback system to include your player’s rating for that particular shot type and whether you were open or not.

INVISIBLE BOUNDARIES
Cleaned up some of the invisible boundary issues when moving along the baseline with the ball.

STEAL ATTEMPTS
Tuned stealing to address spamming issues with results in more fouls being called.

END OF GAME AI
Address late game AI issues where players would not react or respond naturally – often causing them to dribble the ball out or not attempt a shot with the clock winding down.

INTENTIONAL FOUL
Adjusted the intentional foul animation to address player warping issues.

Another cpuvcpu game

Lowry missed a 3 to win game at buzzer

I seriously find myself smh at the player movement while watchinh cpuvcpu. Needs to be addressed asap!

Yeah this patch, needs a patch. User controlled players are missing way too many wide open shots that they should be making. And on the flip side, the CPU is making way too many circus lay ups in traffic and way too many off balance shots over double teams. And don't get me started on how the CPU ball handler can bull doze his way into the paint like he is Bo Jackson just running over people and no charge is ever called.

I shot 26% in the 1st half with the Warriors on 12 minute quarters. Pelicans however shot 61% in the 1st half. Finished the game shooting 34% and Pelicans 56% FG. Pelicans rarely missed and scored 90 points in the paint. They kept bull dozing my defenders over and over....no foul ever was called.

It is like once the CPU starts a lay up animation, there is no stopping it and they simply knock your defender backwards out of the way. I couldn't believe Stepth Curry of all people finished 5 for 28 FG. 20 of those shots were wide open and he missed, over and over again. Had Iggy and Klay missing point blank lay ups along with wide open jump shots.

Shot releases are MUCH improved man...I can finally get green releases with Danny Green now...I think you'll love it as far as that goes...

Unfortunately WAY too many WIDE open 3's miss..so it somewhat defeats the purpose. The last guy I played kept doubling and leaving my shooters open for some reason...and I couldn't make him pay for it. I still won but it was a bit frustrating...

Overall though the lowered %'s down low made for a balanced game....it makes a huge difference...The shooting definitely needs tuning though...it pretty much encourages spamming the paint to score..

Has anyone run into the sideline tactic or the cherry pick tactic post patch?

So basically it sounds like they need to take whatever they adjusted with wide open shots and tweak it halfway back to where they started...it went from having too high a % to too low...

Also, still a bit confused as to how Synergy works...Kawhi returned tonight but he wasn't in the line up...maybe there's a cut off time?






EDIT: he's back now....guess it's been a hour after the game. Maybe he was a game time decision and that's when they can't adjust in time..

I wonder if having sliders would help? #sarcasm

Still can't believe a sports game could release today without them. I think we had them on PS1.

It's a real shame. Sliders and player edits (tendencies especially) would fix a lot of issues compared to waiting for EA to make changes, make mistakes, fix it, etc.

My copy arrived today. I'm busy until the weekend anyway so I'll leave it sealed until then in case I don't like what I'm reading. On Xbox One anyway and the update hasn't dropped.

I assume this is just a title update and an actual large patch is still coming?

I wonder what happened to the pro no sliders people. This was a hot topic before the game came out.

I couldn't believe what I was reading in that thread....goodness....

At the cost of sounding like a horrible player, I just got this game the day before the patch and I was having so much fun with the game. My shots were dropping and I was playing great d.

Since the patch however I noticed A LOT of good shots are now missing, as a nets fan (and since I'm missing key players) this is a major killer for me now. I mean I can still win but it feels a lot harder than it has to be. Sliders would have fixed this problem asap. But it's w/e. I know ea can fix this and hopefully fast.

As for the late game ai. I watched mcw go for a 2 down 6 with 8 secs left. I mean I know he's not a 3 point shooter but , huh? I'm sure we could have had a better play.

Also what makes a shot contested? I have some open looks get called contested randomly . It happened to a few of my boy shots and now he thinks this game is a abomination compared to 2k. <_<.

Update to avoid double post

I just plated a quick game on my vita to test the remote play. It's really good. But that's not the point of this point. It was a close game between the cavs and the hornets. And with me being up by 1 with 15 secs left. The cpu didn't try to foul me at all..... like lmfao. Hopefully they can do something about this

I am glad you made these points I thought it was just me so I hadn't said anything in here yet. I too feel that all to often the shot is classed as contested and therefore won't go in.


I preferred it pre patch as the game had a nice mix of fun and realism. I'm going to delete the patch and just play the unpatched game until they fix it.

To each is own.. But are y'all dudes serious?? First you say the game is to easy and now it's to hard to work for a win???? You have GOT to be ****ting me!!! @devs game play after most recent patch has done wonders to the game.. Still not perfect but the game plays much MUCH more realistic.. Not ever shot goes in because they get good looks at the rim.. Keep up the good work... And to whom it may concern about the gameplay being to hard.. Change the difficulty to rookie... You ROOKIE!

Basically everyone wants the game fine-tuned to their desired level of play which is what sliders are for.

Frankly, the FG%s pre-patch were way too high. Especially Ratings Only.

They're not going to patch in sliders so people need to either adjust or simply shelf the game.

Anyone feel shooting has been tweaked? Seeing more jumpers go in on and offline.

Couldn't agree more. As far as the shot timing...it seems like I can almost release whenever and get green...but what's the point, ****s don't fall. I like that the release isn't so quick and you can get a green release at the top of the jump more effectively but releasing early needs to be tweaked...I think the made the window bigger for green release but it's not accurately working as far as make or miss on release...I guess what I mean is it feels like a false positive.

My second issue is that way too many easy shots two feet from the bucket are missed as it says contested when really the guy isn't defending it enough to make the guy miss. A good shooter like Kobe should not miss again and again from 3-5 feet from the basket. The cpu is almost un-shakable, even when I do get them on a hesitation they recover so quickly an easy pull up jumper is contested from the side and missed from 3-7 feet....terrible and annoying. The other part of this that sucks which many are mentioning is that the cpu is not effected as much they've knocked down shots with 2 and 3 defenders contesting...all I can say is WTF!!

Lastly...this has made the ultimate team challenges impossible for me....even some of the easier ones...like rookie 2 using all bronze players...no one can make a shot while the computer just rains buckets and drives through the paint with ease.

Player vs player online it's not bad because it's fair game, but have similar stats...but against cpu it's horrible.

Please EA fix these issues ASAP...I have not been happy with these issues. Rosters I'm good with but the game play right now is jacked up.

I have! I just wish it would be disclosed and made official in regards to these tweaks!
