MLB 14 The Show Available As Day 1 Digital Download Available to Download Now (PS4)

MLB 14 The Show will be available as a Day 1 digital download at 12:01 AM EST on May 6th. (SEE UPDATES BELOW) Similar to how users were able to download the PS3 version, expect it to be available at that time, give or take a few minutes.

It doesn't appear as though you will be able to pre-download, as some hoped with the latest PlayStation update. VG24/7 noted Watch Dogs will be the first game available for pre-download, releasing on May 27th.

UPDATE: As of 10:30 AM EST, the game is still not available to download.

UPDATE #2: Due to unforeseen technical issues, MLB 14 The Show for PS4 is not currently available for download via the PlayStation Store. All parties are working as quickly as possible to remedy the issue. We�ll update this post as soon as a resolution is reached. Thank you for your continued patience.

UPDATE #3: Based off of the many responses, the download should be available for everyone now.

Come on, man. Sony pretty clearly told him the refund would be processed. Now people are finding out that's not true from other support reps. Can you blame him for being upset?

Really? I imagine a bunch of suits sitting in a dark room right now, trying to think of creative ways to screw their customers.

I live in a major urban area and not a rental shop with PS4 games anywhere in the metro. And a Redbox certainly won't have it.

Finally bit the bullet and called. Guy said I'll definitely get the refund because I never downloaded the game. Game has been removed from my queue. Just got backfrom Gamespot with a disc copy.

Companies screw up all the time. They will fix your issue if you allow a little patience. Shame that most of you are adults here.

Sorry about your loss, man. That sucks. Really glad you got a silver lining from it.

Keep in mind most of the people posting here are young. They're impatient. I'd probably even consider myself in that group. I want my game too! But you're right, there's nothing we can do and there's no point dwelling on what will be such a trivial issue and forgotten in a few days.

Just got off the phone. Guy was nice and all and was happy to submit a refund request, but he simply couldn't guarantee that I would receive the refund.

His advice was to cancel, wait 3 to 5 days to see if my refund was honored, and if so then buy a physical copy. That's horrible advice

He did say it "needs to be out today." Odd phrasing, but I hope he's right.

Redbox doesn't even have the newest gen games just ps3 360. Someone correct if I'm wrong but according to their site they don't.

You are absolute correct. Although, I can understand the frustration. Sony is doing themselves no favors since this has happened. Be honest and customers will be more understanding.
