MLB 14 The Show News Post

MLB 14 The Show will be available as a Day 1 digital download at 12:01 AM EST on May 6th. (SEE UPDATES BELOW) Similar to how users were able to download the PS3 version, expect it to be available at that time, give or take a few minutes.

It doesn't appear as though you will be able to pre-download, as some hoped with the latest PlayStation update. VG24/7 noted Watch Dogs will be the first game available for pre-download, releasing on May 27th.

UPDATE: As of 10:30 AM EST, the game is still not available to download.

UPDATE #2: Due to unforeseen technical issues, MLB 14 The Show for PS4 is not currently available for download via the PlayStation Store. All parties are working as quickly as possible to remedy the issue. We’ll update this post as soon as a resolution is reached. Thank you for your continued patience.

UPDATE #3: Based off of the many responses, the download should be available for everyone now.

But it's a reason, which is what I asked for!

Im assuming you're under 18 then, not because you don't think 12:02 is late, but because you're unable to understand that people have different schedules for their life than you do.

You just have to delete the game from the dashboard and install from PSN. You saves will stay.

You will have to download the entire version off of PSN. You won't HAVE to delete the installed disc content if you don't want to, but all it will do is take up HD space, as they are two completely separate games. Hope that helps!

I was struggling with the fact that I ordered a physical copy. Somehow, I feel at ease with that choice. There is no excuse for Sony to screw up one of their flagship title. If I was Russel, I would pissed at them big time.

The question I have is say I download the digital version when it's finally up and then I want to sell the disc version. Do I have to delete everything that was installed from the disc or can the data remain on the hard drive after I downloaded the game digitally. In other words, do I have to reinstall the whole game again.

You've got to delete everything, I just called and asked. The guy was pleasant, I was probably the calmest person he'd talked to today

You dont have to delete everything. Only the game. not save files.

Can someone confirm this. While downloading the game were u able to play a exhibition game while you were downloading? Just wanna get a heads up when we are able to download the digital game.

I am not seeing the big deal about the downloading having some delay. This hasn't been a continual problem out of Sony, and seems like it will be less than one day. I suppose i am just getting old, and see it more as a slight inconvenience than i am being robbed or Sony is the devil.

Is one even possible?

Can you just stop posting? Please. Do you like arguing with everyone and making everyone wish you'd go away?

They are outsourced from india, so you do have to deal with a bit of an accent (just a heads up). But the guy I talked with was helpful.

Said they couldn't give a time frame because they are maintaining the PSN. Then I requested a refund and he asked if I wanted it in my PSN wallet or my credit card.

So all in all, pretty helpful support. Didn't have to jump through hoops. And now im off to Wal-Mart
I called them back after seeing some of you had success and talked to an Indian dude as well who had no problems giving me a refund. Said it'll take the 5-7 business days. Will head to Target, Rapestop, or Walmart now.

Dude give it up, we get it ur smarter than us for not pre ordering! I preordered for the bonus bucks, and to not have to leave the house. I should have waited but at this point who cares. It will be up when its up. You are just arguing for the sake of arguing at this point!

For many, waking up at 6am is not early. For me, I can't even sleep in past 9

Don't get too excited about the refund. The customer service rep can't issue a refund. Just a ticket that goes and is decided from higher up (reason it takes up to a week)

All you got was a ticket for a refund.. Be careful if you don't want two copies as you will lose money regardless.

Obviously a profession you will never have.

When this happens again 5 years from now on the PS5 *hopefully* you'll have more real world experience so you can recognize how naive you sounded on MLB The Show's PS4 launch date.
