There's a lot to digest folks, so here's my first article for MLB 14 The Show this year. Included is over 1,300 words, a video interview with Ramone Russell, Release Dates, and the new PS3 trailer.

I had hands-on with PS3 and (briefly) PS4, with additional time on both with Ramone. The Vita version was not onsite, but in terms of features, beside the smaller amount of Presentation (as always on Vita) the game is feature-complete across all 3 platforms.

So we waited this long for screenshots and a few new features in the game... All while finding out that the game won't be release until possibly late May.

I guess I fail to see the excitement here. I'll be picking it up day 1, but where's the actual material here?

That's a good question/statement. I hope he is in the PS4 version at least. They should have enough time to scan him and get him in the game. (Hopefully)

Quick count seems like a good thing to have, but I don't see myself ever using that mode. I always like to start counts at 0-0 to get the full game experience. Games for me usually take 40-50 mins and I'm fine with it. The fast play makes games last like 20-30 mins and that still had the 0-0 counts.

But I cans see which some people would want to have quick count in games.

And regarding PS3...What new things have been added to it?

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe this mean they built the 30 stadiums from scratch and will just port over the minor leagues and classic stadiums. I hope this is the case because I'm hoping classic stadiums will be in the ps4 version.

If I'm understanding you.....after the initial QC.....you play out the entire AB.....it doesn't go any further in the AB...it's all you.

Not to be a doom monger but leaving it unspecified also allows it to be delayed further.

Am I the only one who's confused as to whether they're talking about Playstation 3 or Playstation 4 on many things here? And those screens PS3 or PS4 (not joking).

The people whining about a May release are some of the same people that would trash it if it were released earlier and there were any bugs. Sometimes you have to wait for excellence.

Pretty sure he will be and a few other players will be as well. They'll make their debuts well before the game comes out. The launch day roster of the PS4 should have quite a few players. Tanaka, Grady Sizemore, rookies that get called up before the release date etc........

Correct. I played a full half inning at bat in less than 2 minutes.

Yes but looks like the same scene that's currently in the game that happens when you plunk too many hitters in a row.

I'm super interested to what they've done to RTTS. I know Russell hinted ("received a lot of attention) to it but couldn't get into detail yet.... Geeezzz, there is soo much I want to hear! Not concerned at all with the release dates. So excited!
