There's a lot to digest folks, so here's my first article for MLB 14 The Show this year. Included is over 1,300 words, a video interview with Ramone Russell, Release Dates, and the new PS3 trailer.

I had hands-on with PS3 and (briefly) PS4, with additional time on both with Ramone. The Vita version was not onsite, but in terms of features, beside the smaller amount of Presentation (as always on Vita) the game is feature-complete across all 3 platforms.

This game never did well in screenshots. Its when you see it running that all the greatness comes out. Past years prove that and look how much we were wowed.

Just look at the Taiwan videos! Game looks phenomenal on the PS3...So imagine everything being ratcheted up 10x.

Screenshots look good to me....but in motion this game(and most to be quite honest) take on a whole new perspective.

Where are you getting 3 months from? Not counting the Dodgers/D-backs Australia games, Opening Night is March 30. The last day in May that the game will be released is the 26th. 2 months into the season would be May 30. And just because the game releases in May, it doesn't mean you can't play Spring Training in your Season/Franchise.

Those are all hand drawn.

I would really love it if they came up with
-different lengths of facial hair that you can assign a player in the editor
-The player would progress through those lengths(including clean shaven) throughout the year.

Good point and you are 100% correct. Gameplay videos are where it's at. Even that doesn't do games justice.

Before the PS4 release I was underwhelmed with videos of NBA etc then once I played these games I was in awe.

This is what I would hope for.

For example Cano just let his beard grow now that he isnt a Yankee, but there is no guarantee he will keep it.

I also hate when guys come to NYY and they keep the beard on them because the player model was already finished (I am looking at you Jacoby Ellsbury....)

Last time I checked Spring Training doesn't count as a regular season game.

Those pictures are AMAZING. The only thing that may need a little work is the infield dirt when sliding. But for real, if my only complaint is that the dirt doesn't quite look or move right in a VIDEO GAME, then I will be out of this world excited... and that's all based off of a screen shot, it may look amazing in real-time. I can't freaking wait for this game!!

Looking as good as i thought.

The crowds are a massive improvement, to say that each one has a polygon count the same as PS3 players is mad, and adds a whole new level of immersion for me.

Long wait till May but boy it will be worth it.

I believe that means for example the standings on Fenway's green monster will update

If you want to get technical, for teams the season never really ends (offseason much?).

Will user created rosters be transferrableacross platforms much like saves? Thatwould help all roster makers for sure moving forward to next generation.

I am impressed... I can't wait until it comes out.. It kinda sucks though that we have to wait until May
