Well, they should come up with something.

I know with these videos, everyone is complaining about the look of the game and some of the animations etc, however within these videos there is one thing that they've done which is pretty impressive; "clipping" and how none of these videos showed people going through each other.

That's pretty impressive actually. there were definitely moments in those play where on the current generation we would experience players clipping through each other. For all of the lack of flair with the visuals, that's one area which looks pretty good.

Overall, graphically the game lacks the flair and first impression of a next generation game, but it truly looks better than current Madden. Lighting definitely looks mighty impressive, now i want to see some night shots

at the risk of a public lynching by the rabid anti-ea population (which seems like everyone these days), riddle me this...

Remember back before ea had announced/detailed the Infinity Engine? None of the gameplay vids released showed it being used (except maybe one the day of e3 before their press conference) but after that it was everywhere...

Is it possible, however unlikely (and I do realise this is ea we're talking about....), that because they haven't 'unveiled' Living Worlds with a blog/trailer etc they're showing an older build or just a build without it implemented?

If so, it's quite late in the game to be holding stuff back, and as a marketing strategy it is clearly not working....

Probably just the overly wishful thinking of someone who just woke up and isn't thinking clearly right?

It'll be interesting to see, when or even if they put up that Living Worlds blog, if anything changes in regards to the sideline in videos...

Madden is looking worse and worse with every video. EA said that the IGNITE engine would blur the line between the real-world and the virtual. I don't even know how to respond to that... I'm lost for words...

These are some of the things I was hoping we'd see in next gen football.

I think EA deserves an award for this game: Worst distribution of Assets.

Who decided that rendering every blade of grass, and every fan was more important than rendering the sidelines, you know, that thing you see on every play, and unlike the grass, is big enough to discern.

I suppose it is just me, but if, from a purely graphical point of view, I'd try to render things that one can actually see with some amount of detail from the gameplay camera starting from the center of the field of view, so that is the players, the field (note my point about being able to see detail), the endzone crowd to a certain point, and the sidelines. Once you get that to look nice, then you go for the fancy crap like EVERY BLADE OF GRASS or every fan.

It is hard to tell where the incompetency over at EA Tiburon is. I really want to lean on top down incompetency rather than just calling the devs incompetent. Is every product out of EA Tiburon a failure? NBA Live, Madden, and NCAA. The MMA title got moved to Canada when it became UFC it seems.

So, this development studio does not have one competent title to its pedigree. That is really sad. I'm not shocked the devs don't post here given just how negative this forum is.

The guy making these videos is a Game Changer right? I'm asking because I thought GC weren't marketers for EA. If that is true why are all these videos perfectly edited marketing pieces?

This guy gets to play next gen Madden early. I'm pretty sure he's not going to say anything bad about this game after they allowed him to play early, AND put out some of the only gameplay videos that we have, attracting his YouTube account more views and subscriptions.

He's going to praise this game until the cows come home, even if he knows it's bad.

I think he captured these videos weeks ago when he was at EA. I doubt he has a dev kit or a PS4 with a retail copy of Madden 12. If so then oh boy, EA/Tiburon is wilding.

I'd be in heaven if Madden animated like that, and had the dynamic gameplay of APF. I don't see how anyone can deny that on the field, that game was the most realistic we've ever seen.

Man I hope you're right, but the way dude was talking was like he owned the game and was just loving it, playing it and creating his own character, splicing up all these vids for us.

Even so, if he doesn't have an early copy and they just let him capture these vids on his trip, dude isn't about to say a bad thought about Madden or EA. Look how much attention his YouTube and Twitter has been getting because of these.

some mentioned it might have happened at the EA Event...and if that is the case, like you mentioned, how are these videos perfectly edited? Like did he have direct feed equipment at the show? lol?

I just get the vision that EA made these videos...had him watch it, told him what to generally point out (with his own spin)...and basically do a voice over.

AND THAT IS THE REASON WHY HE HASN'T UPLOADED REGULAR GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE! Because he Can't..lol.... no PS4..no Game..lol.
I'm still trying to figure out why are people trying to make sense of a game with no gameplay footage and will be out in 2 weeks still talking about madden?

Just like nba live no gameplay only screen shots that's telling you everything you need to know on both games.....

Not a purchase on next-gen period!!!

# 73 ch46647 @ 11/02/13 09:12 PM
Just absolutely brutal.... Once again EA was not even remotely prepared for a next-gen launch.

# 74 SageInfinite @ 11/02/13 09:27 PM
I'll tell you one thing, if Madden 15 is amazing, I'll be pretty disappointed that the NCAA series was cancelled.

If not, oh well

REAL TALK!!!!! It bothers me when people say that posters on OS have ridiculous expectations. What we want has for the most part been done already! Tiburon has had every blueprint they could ever ask for. They really need to swallow their pride, buy a copy of APF, study it, and improve on it. I don't want an NFL version of APF, I want something that will totally dump on it, and that's what Tiburon should want and try to achieve as well.

EA has far too much unwarranted pride to go down that route. They will never admit that APF2K8 was a superior product, even though any rational football fan knows that it was.

They strive to do things their way, or no way at all. Just look at the god damn presentation. Instead of just copying CBS presentation, or NFL network presentation, or hell, ESPN presentation, they want to go their own route with ridiculous cutscenes, barely any stat overlays, lame replay camera angles, and players being stagnant after a play that doesn't involve a cutscene.

They can never admit that they're just not good at doing things their way, they will never admit that someone did it better. As soon as they pop that inflated big head of theirs, then MAYBE we'll start to see some improvement.

It's like they experiment with things every year, and we're the guinea pigs. Once they realize it didn't work, or the majority didn't like the direction, they stop, and start to experiment all over again. Yeah, they should study better games, they should copy TV style presentation, but according to EA, no one does it better than them.

I can confirm this. I'll also say that I hear that they STILL couldn't figure out how VC did some of what they did.

In the end, ALL I've ever wanted Madden to do in the previous generation was what was already being done. And they were SUCH small, obtainable goals that they just refused to care about. I like the promise of the Infinity Engine. But I never asked for that BEFORE giving me more dynamic line interactions. Realistic ball flight dynamics. Fronts and overages. REAL zone coverage concepts. Stuff that VC was doing in NFL 2K FRIGGIN 3!!!!
