Did Murray just walk to the sideline and then they cut to him in the corner of the endzone alone and the guy goes crazy because he's dancing? C'mon man!
The helmet effect is pretty cool. That's the attention of detail that needs to be taken to everything else that isn't graphic detail.
Yes, how much you wanna bet the QB running to the huddle at the start of the game animation is still in, you know, the one where every time it plays, regardless of team, there is a LB in the offensive huddle listening in to the play.
This guy could not SERIOUSLY be that excited about Murray dancing. like that is the first time he's seen a player celebrate in Madden. This could be used as a voice over for the commercial lol.
In all seriousness, I know we have a lot to say about how bad these vids have been, but what in the bloody hell was EA thinking allowing their product to be marketed like this?
This wouldn't even excite the most casual gamer of the series. It's like they don't care about sales, don't care about people are perceiving this game. Are they just putting a game out on next gen because they can? Because they know people want a football game for their next gen console?
This is HORRIBLE marketing, horrible, horrible, horrible. Nothing in these trailers have impressed me, and this most recent one has actually turned me off from even wanting to play the game. Just damn.. The thought process that goes into some of these decisions is mind boggling.
I didn't even enjoy 2K football that much back in the day, I actually played Madden over 2K5 that year, but I promise you if EA didn't have the exclusive license, we really might be looking at a world without Madden football. Or at least a world with EA making a decent damn football game.
And why would they pass off the release of the videos to some dude on Youtube? who the hell is at the wheel over there? From E3 vids being pre-rendered, to then showing vids of the game with "actual game footage" overlayed on them, to the MNF fiasco they just stopped doing after only 2 because people couldn't even tell if it was current or next gen, to a complete lack of any footage released played from the perspective we will actually play it on, and now the seeming hesitance to even attempt to follow through on Living Worlds boasts. Seriously, whoever is making these marketing decisions should be canned yesterday, it has just been completely bungled start to finish. Of course not so much as a peep from EA about any of it at all. A little more than reminiscent of the 06 debacle.
Lol I just looked up all your post. I honestly think you either work for EA or are paid by EA.
Bunch of "First day purchase for both systems!!"
"Can't wait looks amazing!!" Etc

Glad you said it.
Typical EA garbage. Closeup, closeup, closeup. Everything slowed down. Can't even show the game in normal speed. What a disgrace. Less than 2 weeks until release. Get me a little less excited for the game, will ya? Don't even know why I bother anymore. This franchise is hopeless. I just hope some company is chomping at the bit to make their mark. It's no coincidence this series was at its peak when a certain company was still making games.
At this point I don't care if the game sucks. I just want to see something new and refreshing. Take a chance on something.
No disrespect to QJB but its almost like hes begging you to like this game. I mean,, dont get me wrong, the amount of detail added to the visuals are great. But what ever happened to simplicity? I feel sorry for the developers only because they don"get it". From the ground up, thats what we're told. But it doesn't seem to be apparent in these short vids. Lets make sure the wr's run thier routes realistically first, make sure the QB doesnt move robotically in the pocket. Oh and lets make sure the outcome of each play ran plays out authentically. The ground up right? Not making this a comparison, but 2k8 really ruined my madden experiance. Up until the point i played that game i had no idea any company could replicate the game of football that way. And i havent been back since. Once you got a taste of Filet, its hard to go back to mystery meat. And, they, kept, it, simple. Capturing the fundamental side of the game of football.
In this video they made no promise but one. That the game would be a true replication of the game of FOOTBALL. I really hope going forward EA will take heed and get to the basics. 3:45 pretty much sums it up
And to be honest, and i think i speak for most of us here when i say it but i really want to love Madden and Regardless its a purchase because i just love football.
Listen I don't mind these kind of videos and all. But less then 2 weeks until the PS4 version comes out and EA and this guy is still doing these slow mo video with up close views. Which no one cares about now. All people want now is some actual raw gameplay footage to be showed. Time for showing slow mo videos is over. People want good good gameplay video overall.
Sweat , ball , veins... yeah , thats the things i was concerned about, definitely a buy after seeing this vid, i mean who the hell wont buy a football game which has veins and sweat in it ?
I think the biggest problem that we as hardcore sports gamers face (because after all, that's what we are since we're on a sports video game forum) is that we are such an small minority.
I'm a high school teacher and I'm willing to bet if I asked 100 students at school that are into sports video games and Madden what they think about Madden 25 on PS4 and Xbox One from the videos, the vast majority of them would think it is the greatest thing they've ever seen.
Given, some would not, but most would. That is the true issue here.

I think some of it just boils down to ignorance. They don't know what's better and haven't experienced it so they go with what they know. I think if most people were as informed as we are, and got to see why we feel the way we feel, the tides would definitely turn. I mean it happened with NBA gaming. now EA can't seem to recover.

Don't forget about the ash on the elbows. That's the best part!
