Have you not noticed all of the other promises that haven't been met yet? Summers over. We still aint seen 5 on 5 yet. We got a lovely trailer for madden which mind you is coming out of the exact same studio now. They were very proud to show that. Look at Ty Stover EA marketer's twitter. Do you see how he is handling the fans? Either they don't give a **** or this game is in trouble or a culmination of both. NBA Live 14 should be going gold in about a week or two and i guarantee you they are still trying to polish and patch up a whole crap load of issues at the last minute. This train is not on schedule guys. Thats why that sizzle trailer was all chopped up like that. They missed the PS4 launch by 4 days. Thats a bigger deal than most of you think. If this game was on schedule they would have made the PS4 launch. Its too risky not to. That clearly tells me they are scrambling to get this thing out. I almost feel bad for them. Maybe they just don't have the right team yet to do b-ball. Don't be surprised if it gets pushed back another month or so. EA sucks at hitting deadlines for this product. The only reason it won't be cancelled is probably because they are being forced to get this game out by the NBA. This is pure speculation but something is very wrong here. Red flag
I dont understand how this guy still has a job, they way he talks to people on twitter is ridiculous.

Not to beat the nail on the head again, but common EA, every week that goes by, you are losing opportunity to "gain" customers. Show people and give them a reason to be excited for next gen. You have direct competition, and a late release on PS4, plus not showing anything new, will hurt sales.

Im not by any means a fan of the series, but everyone is waiting after a long delay, and you are missing the boat. There are no excuses, no current gen mamba jamba holding next gen back. GET ON IT!

@ coolcras7..you see that **** huh? I'm not surprised he still has a job. He is representing a company that treats fans/consumers like **** so he figures he can too and even get away with it. This whole thing is one big disaster. I honestly have lost all faith in EA and given up on this game. I'm just riding this thing out to see how far it goes. I'm sooooooo looking forward to next-gen 2k now. Thanks EA for taking me on that lovely roller coaster ride a second straight year. SMH

Thats old news from about a week ago. Those layoffs were a result of the recent NCAA Football series cancellation. I don't think that is in anyway related to NBA Live 14. Don't make excuses for them LOL

No worries man, just glad the lay-offs had nothing to do with Live.

Yeah I know his response to the 2k trailer was childish, questioning if it was next gen and acting like Live has nothing to prove if that being the case. He did not even say a thing about the trailer EA was working on to be released last week.

Still nothing from EA? I see this as nothing but red flags.

  • FIFA gameplay has been shown
  • Madden has been shown
  • Release date shifted from actual PS4 launch.
This game is being hidden in the back like it holds top secret information but it will sell the least amount of the other two games on next generation. I could be wrong but they are red flags to me.

2k already released a second trailer, Live still has yet. Just not looking to good for them... and its a shame.. they had 4+ yrs off and still are in yr 1 again for another 3 yr plan!

Couldn't have said it better. I'm really upset about this because this was my most highly anticipated game on next gen.

I am sure you can come up with a million excuses for live not releasing any new info, but the fact is Live only release 1 trailer that other thing was CG not in game.

2K released 2 gameplay trailers. First was 4 months ago. Live released 1 where no basket was scored and no shot was taken. The ball never even left Kyrie's hand in that layup attempt.

Then EA marketing tries to be snarky about 2K's trailer without responding with anything for a week. You either ignore it completely, you say you have something coming, or you show your goods.

You don't snark and hide and pretend your competitor didn't show something phenomenal. It's not a good look. You might think it communicates confidence but it actually communicates frustration and desperation. It's quite telling. Pretty surprised EA marketing representatives don't understand such a basic thing.

Funny thing is this game received the Best Sports game award at E3. They said we would receive a 5 vs 5 at the end of the summer, well that came and went. If they don't show us something this week or the next consider the game not very good. I posted a video on here of a guy who said he was a game tester and that video has been taken down. I think at this point EA is running around with their heads cut off trying to fix and patch stuff. I was looking forward to this game when I saw the first screenshot. But at this point my level of excitement for this game is very low. I'm not expecting all that much from EA, I hope that EA releases something like NOW!!!! Anything!!!

For both games, no GAMEPLAY.
Gameplay trailer is different from GAMEPLAY. I want to see REAL gameplay, i don't care about trailer, if i must be honest.
So yes, imho EA and 2k must show us something very interesting.

I agree that trailers have little meaning. However EA is handling their marking as if Live is a brand we trust.

C'mon now
We're talking about next gen here
You want a HUGE step in visuals too
And something of what we saw was mind blowing in this regard
