If its a db or lb at the line idk why they did that unless you have like 60" tv and i have a 32 btw. I get the whole all madden thing ... Its suppose to be hard and it will be if you dont play sim and keep it a close game... But kapernick going 10-11 100+ yds and a td then you got frank gore he averages like 9 yds per carry and when i do stop him for 3yds i feel like i accomplished something... I get that nfl has turned offense friendly but dont take the fun outa defense... Ima ravens fan so i live for defense... My overall feeling is i am brainwashed by madden so even getting the game for a roster update i would do it... I love football and madden is the closets i can ever get to the nfl gridiron
I have a 110" screen and I still need a magnifying glass with this cam, so I'm not sure what they were thinking when they came up with this gem.

That's a big screen...? Projection I'm thinking . But I agree. This camera angle is like the old blimp cam .

I heard the Zoom cam has been modified this year. I really liked it in madden 12

These are personal opinions and not to be debated on..

PS3 Version

Playing the PS3 version, I noticed just from the menu's a big delay going from one screen to another. Did the practice mode and even when I got past the defender, it said failed.

Played both matchups and each time the controls felt good on the field, but sometimes I'd press X to pass and it would throw in the direction of O or Square....not understanding that...and it was done multiple times.

As usual the colors in the game were semi bland and a lot of jaggies. Not understanding why, even in HDMI I couldn't get it to script up.

Love the running game and passing on PS3 version was hideous at times. Sometimes just plain frustrated, but in my Green Bay matchup I won in Doulbe Overtime.

Xbox 360 Version

Okay just from the startup screen moved faster and smoother in menu's colors were brighter and more clear. Menu system was back and forth without too much delay.

Going into Matchup's it didn't lag out and the intro graphics weren't pausing like PS3 version

I don't understand how the PS3 version was 2gb's bigger and still has worse load times and darker graphics.

Back on Topic, on the feel everything felt great, from controlling my running back too total controlling my receivers. This version just felt more complete and the transitions and motions during running is amazing. I could run better on this version, due to superb blocking by the offensive line.

On Defense it felt more complete too, from line shifting and so forth. I think giving so many options on player movements and audibles will take time to learn, I've played over 11 games and still not use to so many option screens that pop up.. (Defense and Offense)

Won 8 Lost 3!!!

Overall I see right now, I am going to love SF and Green Bay in my game. Even though I'm a Cowboys fan ! I am also a cheese head and love my Packers. Kapernick being a mobile QB will help me appreciate him more in my multi-franchise mode.

Again loving the feel of the game, I hope tattoo's make it into current gen version, even though I'll probably wait on Next Gen version and buy that one only.

P.S. Don't use Ask Madden playcall option, it's garbage and always in favor of the computer. Doesn't help you do anything but lose.

Ask Madden Feature should be completely removed, because instead of using game flow I use conventional and it auto selects ask Madden instead of letting me choose my plays.....have to press B or O to back out and go back to my own play calling.

Overall Madden 25 is solid, very solid and from a 2k guy that says a lot...Took them 8 years, but this Madden is going to be major for all football gaming fans...

Projection, yes, but not rear. Front projector and a 110" glass beaded screen.

60" plasma has been retired to a bedroom TV lol.

Nothing like being able to see people trying to hide all the way across the map in a shooter before you even scope in

My impressions:

GB(me) v Seattle: Overall, not a bad impression. I didn't experience the disappearing players, but then I only played one game.

Graphics Nice. Nothing mind-blowing, but nothing horrid either. I like the lighting, and the GB Green on the jerseys seemed to "pop" more. I seemed to notice a dark sheen to it; looked really nice.

Presentation Since I skipped on M13 and the debut of virtual Nance and Simms, I thought they sounded great. Although, the same issue of repetitive commentary as well as "the Quarterback made a great play" instead of using names, etc. I do like the idea of finally adding a sideline reporter, but again, she sounded generic and uninformative, IMO. Example: "Both coaches told me clock management will be crucial in this game". Lol, isn't it always??

Sound Took awhile, but I believe the crowd sound is FINALLY getting up to par. The Packers chant sounded great, and the swell happened at appropriate times. Seemed much louder than in the past.

Gameplay I saw what I think is a new animation (again, I passed on 13) but it was a nice reception near the sideline with Jones, where he caught the ball high over his head and kept both feet in bounds. No jumping or whatever, just a nice catch. I also ran a screen pass that worked really well, and the blocking was superb. Every player blocked who they were supposed to. This was on default Pro, BTW. Overall, I had a fun time playing. But it was only one game, lol......

Overall, it wasn't bad, but I still don't see enough to justify my spending another $60. Besides a few new animations, I still feel it's the same ole, same ole. And since I don't play online, I'm forced to deal with the bad CPU AI logic..

Overall 7/10

Nice impression.

I can tell you I have heard some dynamic comments from the sideline reporter. I had 2 turnovers as GB and held onto a 10-3 lead at the half. Coming out for the 3rd quarter she talked about speaking with HC Mike McCarthy and how he said to the effect of "I felt we were lucky to be in this game let alone have a lead with the 2 turnovers in the first half and if they want to win this game they must protect the football".

I thought to myself......YES!!!! We have some dynamic commentary going on here. I have played over 12 games.....and I have been hearing a lot of different things from her coming out of the tunnel for the second half. I can only imagine with many more teams, etc the retail build will be really solid.

I also agree about Nantz and Simms.....far and away the very best play by play and color yet for a Madden game. This has never been a strong area for Madden.....but this component has been really improved.....finally.

The more I play this demo the more I feel the retail game (32 different teams, sliders and owner mode along with a working Connected Franchise, and Madden Share for classic rosters) is going to really be the best Madden to date.

I felt this way with Madden 12 two years ago....and to date M12 is my second favorite Madden ever. So my gut has not let me down with Madden yet.

Last year I was really concerned with M13's demo...but bought it anyway to see what CCM was all about...paid for that mistake.

One more week and we get our hands on this bad boy.

Just kidding. Couldn't resist.

I'm sure this isn't new, but some how i managed to end up with a different camera view, the broadcast one. If you start the game with the cup vs cpu and pick a side after the game starts the camera will stay the same, the broadcast view.

It would be absolutely amazing if after last year, the dev's did not fix the gameplay difficulty and sliders. All Madden should be hard! And as others have posted, sliders should not have to be placed on 5 or 0!!! That's a clear indication that they don't work!!!!

But I think that was mainly because I love the way NCAA 14 looks from the coordinator cam, and I don't appreciate the default Madden cam. Once I got past the camera, I think I may like Madden more than NCAA.

As for passing, I find leading receivers in the Madden 25 demo to be almost too powerful. I'm able to basically change receiver routes on the fly away from DBs just by using lead passing. So I guess I'm just not seeing what you are, and not sure why. Maybe you're referring to deep routes, which I'll admit I haven't had much success with. But lead passing is very helpful on 10-20 yard in & out routes. I can practically turn an out route into a corner route if I need to buy my WR some space.
I agree that leading guys on out routes and slants can be effective. I guess it really comes down to not being able to lead guys when they get a step on the secondary. I played a game as the Pack against the Seahawks and I even tried dumbing down the pass reaction time and I still could not lead anyone by much, if at all. 9 times out of 10 the defender makes up ground and deflects or intercepts....the other 1 time my catches it and get's tackled immediately.

Other than this the passing game is decent. I am really liking the demo. I do have to say that on NCAA if I roll out to the right and I see my slot receiver get behind the coverage on a post route, I can heave it up and hit him in stride as the secondary is struggling to get there. I can catch and run for 10-15 yards before the safety can get over and attempt a tackle....but being as we are in the open field I can at least attempt to juke him. I wish this element happened a little more in Madden. Not all the time....but once and a while.

Got to take this back a little..Finally played the Ravens vs. 49ers game this weekend..Does anyone else see a somewhat stark drop off in graphical detail when playing this game compared to Seahawks vs. Packers?

Phil Simms is the most annoying commentator in the history of commentary. I don't know if it's just the way EA does the commentary, or Simms himself, but I find myself wanting to put a muzzle on him just to shut him and his condescending remarks up.

It's like he doesn't even comment on the game, he just wants to bash the players as much as he can. Annoying.

When i make a tackle behind the line of scrimmage that feels like a 4 or 5 yard loss it always seems to end up being like 1 or 2 yards. Can't replay it to verify whether the ball was accurately spotted of course but it just seems a little bit off. Most the plays im talking about the running back gets the ball handed to him or pitched to him and runs horizontally w/out ever going forward.

Anybody else notice this?

Yep All-Madden is no doubt feeling great. It does not feel cheap at all.

Just returned my first kickoff for a td in the demo. G. Tate caught it 2 yards deep in the middle of the field then went towards the left sideline. Followed my blocks nicely, stiff armed 1 defender, used LT and juked back inside of a 2nd guy. After that I ran horizontally and reversed field. Just barely made it to the right front pylon for the score! Was awesome

That default camera pre-play is terrible. Can't change it in the demo of course.

Lawrence Okoye isn't on the 49ers.

Otherwise seems as good as last year with improved presentation and better graphics in replays. Pete Caroll flipping out on the sideline was pretty good.

Your stick skills are diminishing with age Goh......you need more training
