It only takes one game to realize it's the same sh different stank.

Apparently penalties do not exist in the football EA developers watch. How can such an integral part of the game be left out year after year after year....The thing that is annoying about it is that seems so easy. Do some statistical analysis on penalty frequency and program that into the game. Most penalties happen away from the play so you don't even have to worry about animations.

Assisted tackles still don't work right. I had a play where 3 defenders clearly were in on the tackle and only player was given the credit for a tackle.

Offense is ridiculously easy on All-Madden on both sides of the ball. I was GB and had 392yds on 42 plays. There was no resistance on Seattle's part. I threw 2 picks but one was because J.Nelson took forever on a curl. I couldn't stop the run (33-221) and Wilson was 15-16. However, I was able to bull rush the RT at least 50% of the time. He had 3 sacks and I only played half the plays with him. It appears another year of constant slider chasing is in store. I'm sure those guys are working on it as we speak.

The infinity engine looks as good as NCAA but this demo isn't really getting me excited about the game.

what demo are you playing? players are bending and falling in all sorts of unrealistic was after the play. I mean compared to last year its better but still absolutely unrealistic and off-puting.

Honestly, I just think you're too good for Madden.

However, I am simply talking about "Pressure". Regardless of the quality of lineman, no NFL pocket stays intact for 10 seconds. I'm seeing that far too often and it has been a problem in Madden for years. I don't want to send 6 or 7 every play to simply apply "pressure".
I understand what you are saying and you are 100% correct. However, in current Gen madden pressure usually results in sacks or intercepts. So if there was consistent pressure it would likely inflate the sacks or intercepts that occur during a game. By reducing pressure the games are more likely to be competitive which I prefer.

I know this is frustrating, but for this generation I just want a fun and competitive game. For next Gen, I expect the line play to represent real life since they have rebuilt that aspect.

You must be trying to download the season pass version and not the demo.

Funny. I'm actually average which is why All-Madden should be much more difficult. There was little resistance to passing. Every corner route the wr had a minimum of 5 yards of separation. Maybe I should have said the defensive AI is not very realistic. They lock on to blockers, don't break from their zone until it's too late, and get smoked in man-to-man.

I got in 3 or 4 games last night. I've got to say, I'm impressed. It's similar to NCAA, but feels more polished; better. Then there's the visuals... that's where it blows NCAA away. Probably because there's only 32 teams as opposed to 130 or whatever, I don't know, but it's pretty amazing to see the difference, the field, the uniforms, the lighting, the players, the stadium, the crowd, it all looks better in this demo.

As for the gameplay, as I said it feels like NCAA does, and that's a good thing. Love the new running, even though I found it difficult to run using that far zoomed out camera, but passing sure was a breeze, especially because of the camera angle allowing you to see the entire defense. I just wish it was a bit more zoomed in. If it would cut off just outside the outside WR's, instead of way outside of them, it would be a little more zoomed in, and easier to work with.

I also found the commentary does flow alot better this year as opposed to last year with Nantz and Simms.

Looking forward to picking it up now.

I'm going to need M25 on the new consoles to really utilize the things touted for the Ignite Engine to enhance the experience found in M25 on current consoles. The player movement needs to be very fluid, the living worlds need to add immersion and the AI needs to differentiate players.
This is how I feel about it. I really feel like this game was just something to hold us over tell November.

This Demo does nothing for me a couple nice additions but lacking still. NCAA foot planting is way more better then this demo. There's a huge difference between All Pro and All Madden. All Pro feels like rookie which concerns me about online play. Read Option will be cheese this year. What really bothers me is that you can't control the read man. The game forces you to move. The Graphics look great only in Replays. The Pre Snap adjustments on D is better.

Overall this Demo didn't do anything but really want me to see Next Gen Version.

Just for the demo. Retail will have four. Zoom, legacy (last years), broadcast, and the one from the demo

Oh good, seems like in many of the posts that pepole were really mad about that, I think many thought it wasn't in the final game...

I haven't bought an NCAA game in 15 years. That being said, i was encouraged at the slowed down gameplay, smooth player movement and most importantly, the line play, pocket and pass rush seemed balanced and realistic.

All that being said, I find everything that I liked in NCAA completely absent from Madden. It's hard to believe the same company made these games. I see a lot of herky jerky movements from the cpu QBs. For example, Aaron Rodgers dropped back to pass and my coverage was really good. I noticed he had not thrown the ball for a good 10 seconds, then I look and I see all of my pass rushers are laying on the ground. All of them. Cliff Avril gets up, gets close to Rodgers, and Rodgers runs to his right, then throws the ball across his body and the field to Jordy Nelson who came back 20 yards to catch the ball. This is the embarrassing crap that made me despise this game for so many years. This crap doesn't even happen in NCAA. On top of this, the play literally lasted 15 seconds. That's not an exaggeration. There is still absolutely zero pass rush in this game unless you user the DE. How could NCAA get this right and Madden not? WTF? Once again, we will have another year of QBs throwing for 500 yards. You can still manipulate routes too easily with the "throw your receiver open nonsense". I threw a pass to Zack Miller who was running a deep post. I waited too long but pressed up on the right stick. Miller instantly shot forward breaking off his post to catch the "streak" I threw. This is hot garbage. I thought this was tuned down.

Words cannot express how disappointed I am. I really enjoy NCAA and find the game to be the best EA football in 10 years. I've been around for a long, long time playing football games since the Atari 2600. Why is it so difficult to make a realistic NFL game? ugghhhh.

I REALLY hope that the retail version of the game is MUCH better than this. Not having a pass rush is a killer. It will once again be Madden-ball sending 6 or 7 on every play trying to get pressure instead of properly using your personnel. Any speedy 4-3 pass rushers will be completely useless. What's the sense of having bookend DEs if they don't ever get upfield. Once again, NCAA really got this down.

Player movement is not bad, but not great and the blocking and run game are nice improvements. I still see a lot more silly looking and twitchy movements in Madden than NCAA. My initial impressions were very positive after I played one game, but after 15 games, I'm now pretty down on it. The crazy thing is, I've logged about 100 NCAA games, and I am really enjoying that game. I'm not even a college guy at all.

I won't touch upon the presentation or other aspects yet because everyone else has. I just don't understand the issues with the pass rush and the silly "throw across your body while running backwards" nonsense.

sigh... It is what it is. I'd give the demo a 5.5/10.
The Madden demo is a lot better than ncaa. If you are a nfl fan then there is only one game to get Madden 25 and I like it. I hate the 2k arguement......if they are so good why havent they figured out how to be relevant even without nfl license. I just keep being reminded of 2K Don King's Prizefighter.......wow

Maybe I should give an actual, well thought post of my impressions but...

all I can say is wow. I played as the Ravens first, against the Niners, on all madden. It was a great game. Very closely contested, very defensively oriented. The first touchdown of the game came from a twenty+ yard catch and run from Flacco to rookie FB Kyle Juszczyk. Kyle broke one tackle, juked, then ran the rest of the way. A great play that would become the "GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Game." The 49ers would drive downfield and Kapernick would find AJ Jenkins for a touchdown. The game was tied 10-10 going into the fourth. I drove downfield, Ray Rice getting two or three sizable runs. We drove all the way to the one yard line, where it was third and goal. I thought I'd be stopped, having to settle for a field goal. Instead, Rice ran in for a touchdown.

As someone said, the late game AI is much better. Kapernick and the Niners were driving, trying to score. Kaepernick crumbled in the clutch, though, as rookie Matt Elam made a great interception on a deep pass, with just over a minute to go, ending the game.

Another highlight: Ladarius Webb made a great falling backwards interception in the third quarter. Overall, just a great game, a great demo, making me want Madden 25 even more. The presentation is leaps and bounds better than last year, I had no problem with the physics and had a great time.

Whats the deal with the invisible players. i was playing with the 49ers and on one series joe flacco disappeared. it was just a floating ball in the air. the same with my safety eric reid

I just played another two games and it has confirmed one thing for me. Assuming the full game releases similar to the demo. Madden is fun again for me. I just played a game as the 49ers against the Ravens. It finished 14-7 in overtime to me. The final two minutes of regular time were insane, there were fumbles, interceptions and tackles literally inches from the first down marker. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through.

A couple of negatives, in this game there were A LOT of fumbles, I think 5 in total. I'm assuming this won't be a big issue as it is the first game that I have encountered it. Despite my previous posts about pressure on the QB, I now think this needs to be improved. I wasn't looking closely enough before and now I can see it is an issue and will hopefully reduce the CPU completion percentages.

Overall, this has a chance to be the Madden I enjoy the most this generation. I just hope that the gameplay in CF is an improved version of the gameplay in the demo.

I didn't buy Madden 13 last year because I listened to all of the opinions on OS of people bashing the game. I finally bought it about 6 weeks ago for very cheap only to find out that it was the best one to date on 360. If the final build of Madden 25 is labeled Madden 13.5 by reviewers that`s fine...it will be a very good game. No game is perfect. It`s meant for fun and entertainment...not to duplicate very microscopic detail of trying to replicate real life. Buy the game and enjoy.

Played about 20 games last night. Physics don't quite feel 'there' yet. It's getting better, but still doesn't quite feel like weight, trajection & momentum are being accounted for. Run blocking seems improved, precision passing seems a bit toned down, though you still shouldnt be able to turn corners and posts into streaks without the receiver having to adjust. The way it plays out right now is the WR bee-lines to the new trajectory spot the second you release it.

The sunday ticket deal closed this purchase for me.

it's just zoomed out in the demo, the final will have different angles, don't worry.
