Last years demo and launch day were terrible in my opinion.I got it from game fly the first week didn't like anything about it. I didn't buy it till the third patch. It got better for me . Not perfect . Not the best game ever or anything, but i could stand to play it. I think this years demo has a way better feel to me as far as movement go's. I like the feeling of running, and the way the foot planting is working. I like the change direction . I haven't seen any spinning on one foot or skating or suction blocking or tackling, and the two games I played were fun. so far I like what I see. I'm still thinking about getting it from game fly this year and seeing how it is with all the fixes and features in it.

Played a game, Packers(user) 17 Seahawks(CPU) 0. I had 2 INTs and threw 2 INTs. Game played very good IMO. I hated the camera angle.

As for pass rushing, I had two sacks of the edge. On one run play my DT was able to push the center into the HB. Overall this is going to be a fun year for madden.

Hey guys,

So it wouldn't let me d/l the demo to my flash drive, is that normal? It would only d/l to hard drive. I "was" going to get season ticket so I could download the game early on a 16gb flash drive, but will that be an option?

Maybe its just me, thanks for the inpute.

Well first off after IVe been playing it now for more than 6hrs of the madden 25 demo on xbox360 ,my 1st impression of the game is that although i see improvements over 2013 version like as in presentation and graphics ,ans sound ,but the more i play it im starting to feel as if the defense has been totally tuned down as far as gameplay/control to me .Its like the offenses is the showcase 'al la ' run freely e.a 's new slogan for the running system .Cause the defense controls's are very floaty and slugish causing for a lot of missed tackles and this new Acrady spin move the running game has now seems to work really well against the d .also again for another year ,there's no line of scrimmage no, cheerleaders ,and im doubting an halftime report show not just sum put together replays ,smh .but over all its the same game with new glitches and an tuned down defenses that caters to the offenses just my opinion but i think imma wait for the xbox1 version or hopefully 2K will be able to bless us with an real TRU SIM NFL videogame on the Da'1 .also to me it plays on the defenses side of the ball just like madden 06 on the 360 .hopefully e.a. will tune up the d's control on the final copy but i doubt it .

Maybe. hopefully we will get an explanation about it in the future.

As in the old cut scene that showed them measure for a first down. I kind of missed that, always built up the suspense. Especially on fourth down.

Another observation: Ratings are much more balanced and spread out than in M13, which should be a great thing as long as they keep these for the Week 1 roster and updates (which tend to get worse as the season goes along).

The only ratings I've seen that aren't spread enough are MCV and SPD/ACC. The PUR rating is also still way too high for defensive linemen and ELU rating still way too high for small backs, quick receivers, and return specialists since it acts as the BTK rating in Madden.

Let's hope they keep it this way with the draft classes too.

Got a chance to get my hands on the Xbox 360 demo and played 3 games.

The first two were as the Seahawks and the Ravens on All-Pro. The third game was with the Seahawks once more but this time on All-Madden.

Pros:
*The game is fluid and crisp. Never once did I feel like I had lost control of my guy or had the feeling he was unresponsive or delayed in my actions like in Madden 13.
*The totally passing control really feels like I have control over where I throw it. Countless times in 13 I would throw a pass to the outside and my QB would throw it inside instead.
*All-Madden seems legit. Usually I feel cheated on this difficulty. This time I felt instead of making them godlike they actually played smarter football. I felt like I legitimately lost rather than feeling cheated.
*Line interaction looks and feels so much better. I like that I'm seeing battles taking place.
*Loving the new stamina system. Thought it was great for NCAA and am looking it in Madden as well.
*The new impact stick feels nice and more natural. I'm also loving how it effects and plays off stamina. Also really liking the new tackle button, it feels very fluid.
*Jukes and Stiff Arms are effective but don't seem overpowered. Unlike last year where Jukes usually stopped your guy completely in his tracks and stiff arms were almost completely useless.
*Low rated guys feel playable. I never once felt like someone on my team was completely useless, even when they did show some weaknesses.
*Fumbles, fumbles, fumbles! Finally my team gets just as many fumbles as the cpu does. Last year it seemed near impossible to get a fumble.
*Interceptions finally seem realistic. I'm not seeing the same insane superman interceptions I have before, every one I threw felt like it was legitimately my fault. I also love that even though your player gets his hands on the ball it's not automatic. It can still be knocked out and it can still be called out of bounds.

Cons:
*All-Pro seems anticlimactic, even though the cpu was able to keep up and even tie, I never got the feeling I could actually lose (however I did have this feeling on All-Madden).
*Trucking and Running up the middle seems useless to me. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to effectively run up the middle even with a bruiser such as Marshawn Lynch.
*Precision modifier is definitely a learning curve. While it seems like it's effective I haven't had a ton of luck with it so far.
*While man coverage is solid again this year, zone coverage, while tighter still seems broken to me. I'm hoping this will be fixed by retail or by patch.
*Defensive line play seems completely underpowered. While I'm glad I'm not seeing 5 sacks a game by the LE it still seems like I'm not seeing the defensive line break through (I only saw one sack in my three games). Disappointed as I felt NCAA 14 got this part perfect so I'm hoping I see this fixed at retail.
*Fumbles, while I listed as a pro because I feel that fumbles can happen to anyone on any play, they seem to happen far too often. I would say at least 6 in my 3 games.
*Final con is injuries. While I like that I'm seeing more injuries than last year, they seem to happen far too often and far too limited (abdominal seems to be the main injury). I would like to see injuries that relate to point of impact.

Notes: While I'm still going some of these things are fixed I'm having a lot of fun. Day 1 buy for me. I'm really excited to see what the whole package will look and feel like in owner mode.

I think the locomation is much improved. I am suprised EA did not highlight that this year like usual. Really enjoying the demo. Rodgers is crazy accurate. Only issues are sometimes can not turn up field after catching flat route, instead player runs in a circle first. Also have not been able to sub to 2 backs in Spit shotgun formation, only allows rb and te or fb. Lastly, Ray Rice did like 5 tornado spins to score a 39 yd run, kinda weird.

Okay, so i just finished my first game. i was the packers hosting the seahawks, played on defaul all pro

before i get into my pro's and cons. i had to say that in the first quarter,..i was on defense, wilson took off on a scramble and he trucked nick perry. i literally had to pause the game and get up and walk away. that stuff just makes me so mad that its in a game. i have been very hard on madden the last few years and its when they have dumb crap like that in their game that just makes me go crazy. i will admit the game did redeem itself in the 2nd quarter. i was on offense. about 25 yards away from the endzone. jordy nelson ran a curl route to my right. it was covered (only time in the game) so i took off scrambling to the right side of the field. jordy then takes off towards the endzone at a slight angle. when he gets close i fling the ball to him. he goes, plants his feet and holds his hands out to catch it before going out of bounds while in the endzone. it was beautiful something you actually see between the 2 in real life.

now to the pros and cons

pro's:
- the game is beautiful, i must say the graphics look great,
-presentation...its certainly not on 2k's level...but the commentary is much better, better stat banners, better camera cut scenes. better crowd noises and chants. i am pleased with presentation.
-animations. i saw some very cool animations. i tried stiff arming a guy and he rid me out of bounds. saw a really cool interception by the side line animation where he held the ball up in the air. some cool tackling animations and wr catching animations as well.
-new audible system
-running game felt good, looked good

cons:
-the camera angle.
-the ai is horrendous. just terrible, when are they going to fix all the dumb decisions it makes. in ovetime. i had ball first. 1 minute left i am 8 yards out. it tells me to kick a field goal on 1st down. knowing they would get the ball back. why. i ended up needing to kick a field goal. and they came down. ran their offense. and when overtime expired. they got ANOTHER overtime to continue their drive!!! that is absurd!! that is not what happens in real life! you get 1 period...PERIOD!!!
-passing....apparently russ wilson and arod are gods because they never had any inaccurate passes ever. the only incompletions were interceptions. or deflections or hits when the receiver was about to catch it.
-speaking of hits. while i think some tackling animations look good. there were way...way to many over the top hit stick hits...
-wr would drop passes wide open sometimes then they would catch a pass where they got absolutely lit up the second the ball touched their hands.
-ratings. seriously EA you need to do something about these ratings. everyone is way to fricken high. it is beyond me the ratings you give these players. spread them out!!! most players should be in the 70's and low 80's. with only the nfl elite in the upper 80's low 90's. and lets be honest. russ wilson is no 89 qb. he can beat you with his legs but he hasnt done it as a pure passer to earn that type of rating. and we all no that giving a qb running back skills does not boost his rating up much at all! thats classic donny for you!!.

overall i would consider getting this game if ratings were fixed either by ea or got a team of guys together with the goal of spreading out and fixing the player ratings. and it wasnt about to come out on next gen.

Likely because a handful of games is not a good sample size. I get some good games out of NCAA14 and some not good games in regards to the above.

Positives
- IE is more polished
- improved running/ blocking
- Had decent competitive games.
- Halftime is better than last year, such that they actually show replays and not just cut scenes
- even though its cheezy, I like the Defensive Replay after a big play. Forgot who the sponsor was. But why not show TD replays as well

Negatives

- Replays are bad. Poor angles and too zoomed in
- pre play camera is too far out for my taste
- CPU ruining backs sometimes try three consecutive spin moves
- CPU timeouts at end of halfs
- CPU still always elects to recieve kickoff
- removal of certain sliders. Why did EA do this.
-

I really think most of the issues that have plagued this game are related to the fact that EA spends little time with CPU vs Human games and are more focused on head to head.
Agree with most of these except for receiving KO's. I'd rather have it that way instead of having the CPU KO all the time like in NCAA.

Still haven't seen the negative of CPU end of half TO's, but others have.

I have played three games on all pro and I really enjoy the game.

Default camera angle... Suck

The presentation is better. Camera angles of replays and after play are better.

Running game... I have not mastered it but it does make running more viable. I have no issue with the bar under players for stamina. It will limit guys spamming the new moves. Yes the CPU can run better now but they are nowhere near unstoppable. Basically feels like NCAA 14 but the D is harder. The ability to control you runner adds another level to the game. Playing another player who master the controls might be tough a few weeks after launch but that is fine.

Passing... QBs seem over accurate but we are playing 5 minute quarters so I can deal. I had the CPU kill me a few times deep when my pressure was weak.

Tackling it tougher but it should be. Many tackles for loses. The HB was not running over me.

Coverage... Needs some work. I'm sure play calling will help.

Penalties... I have seen many penalties with no sliders. Clipping, holding, and even a pass interference on the defense by the CPU.

Injuries... About one or two a game. None too serious. That is pretty sim.

Close games... I'm not too shabby with the sticks. Good enough to dominate casual friends who play and compete against sim players. I don't cheese up my game. I found the games on all pro to be competitive against the CPU. might have to adjust the sliders some but solid game.

Animation... Better then last years. More fluid. Real? No, but close enough.

It's not perfect but after 30 years of video game football Im not looking for perfect. I'm looking for a fun, mostly sim game of football... Madden 25 appears to be good for me. Looking forward to the launch and playing with my Cowboys. Kicking Jerry to the curb.

Initial reaction: a solid game that could be ruined by an atrocious camera angle. Is this the standard cam? What other options will there be in the final version?
