This is not the same game as 13, for those of you who may think the changes are tough to spot. I have enjoyed the demo and this should turn out to be a great option on current gen before 15 releases on next gen. (I know 15 will be on current gen too but I am sure most will have next gen by then).

Looking forward to retail copy!

Really cool how you can hear them calling out the mic.

I've been seeing the opposite. I can really feel the difference in a guy like Barner than the rest of the HB's. The difference in top speed is just more subtle this year, because it takes longer to get to top speed.

been out of Ncaa Faootball since 06 for ps2....I've downloaded the DEMO and I like it!

Just a question: will the sfx will be improved in the retail game? I mean I really like to hear more collision between players sounds and player chatting.....the DEMO sounds terrible in that area....

Thanks in advance

It definitely is......my issue with Madden last year and the execution of Infinity 1.0 was that it was so exaggerated to the point where you had guys falling over each other after the play was over. I think the dev team did a great job implementing it with NCAA.....it's there but it doesn't stand out to the point of looking unrealistic.

Ok demo. I felt the passing is greatly improved and the Ai is too. I'm going to hold off buying it until the final game reviews and that there isn't bugs and glitches that make dynasty unplayable and other stuff like there was in 13. I still think 12 is the best on the current gen, and thats not saying much due to the terrible games in years past, but i have faith that this one could tie 12 or pass it as the best game this gen. But we're going to have to wait till July.

The "pop" sound you hear when you absolutely tatoo someone is epic.....sounds really well done and true to life.

I've settled in on these changes now....

Normal Speed
Heisman Difficulty
Speed Threshold 20

Only Slider Changes...
Both QB Accuracy at 5
Both INTs at 35
HUM Tackle at 60
CPU Run Block at 45

Haven't focused on Special Teams yet.

That's it....moved Pass Coverage for both back to default 50.

Played 10 games on these and, barring any major changes in the final build...these will be my starting point when I get the game.
I usually play on AA but I gave this a shot and went 2 and 1. I could not stop Oregon's running game and they only threw for 20 yards.

Definitely not as noticeable as Madden 13 but it also doesn't seem to have all the weird post play animations.

I'll take NCAA '14s Infinite Engine 365 days out of the year over Madden '13s.

Definitely. The only thing I don't like is how some animations aren't affected much. Like sometimes when the stiff arm animations is playing out defenders just bounce off. Hope it's tuned a little better.

I can't get over how much I enjoy watching one of my players sprint across the field and completely sell out to make a block for the ball carrier.

Some of the hits that safeties will deliver to receivers coming over the middle are so vicious. The first thing I'm going to do in Dynasty is recruit some hard hitting safeties.

Still has that great big thud from time to time. T get rid of it, you have to turn down on the field volume, turn that down, you cant hear player chatter, etc....

I had planned on buying both, but not so sure anymore.

NCAA 2003 is definately the ticket in my book.

Am I way off here?
I didn't see any changes

So what you're saying is that he's either open or he's not? That seems realistic.

That stiff arm animation gets on my nerve because it runs so long, its like 7 or 8 yards and you can't stop it.

So I just played the demo for the first time today and I must say that I'm impressed. The physics engine has completely changed the game for the better and for the most part I am very happy with it.

In my limited play (about 5 games) there was one issue that continued to happen that really bothers me. Whenever I would run an option play and pitch the ball there was a noticeable slow down of the player who received the pitch. He would be running at a pretty good speed but as soon as he got the ball he would slow down and then have to speed up again. It is very annoying and is something that I really hope they fix in the final version of the game.

Other than that though I really don't have any complaints.
