yea..defense for me seems like their stupid or something but everything for the computer seems smarter which is quite annoying.. my guys will sometimes just stand there like zombies.. and other team just scores or does whatever.. hope they fix this issue in the game..

I hardly ever actually change to the defender nearest to the ball. It's stupid.

First impression for PS3 so far...

Why does the CPU QB still does not get called for intentional grounding?

Verticals still work pretty easily for the most part.

Thought the different camera views might be just a tad closer to where you could see the receivers off the screen - not as far back as it was.

I just hope overall it will be better than the past ones. It needs to improve each year and not take steps back.

Just had a game that ended with me loosing as time expired because animations still dictate physics. Its Madden 11 all over again with the broken tackles. WR catches it on my 15 yard line, immediately hit and breaks tackle. Ok I have 4 more defenders right their. Next one causes the WR to stiff arm, starts the animation of running forward while holding off guy. Next guy hits him from side, then hit from behind then finally at the goal line hit again from side with the animation still carrying him for a Touchdown. The animation ran for 10 yards giving this guy invincibility to any other defender.

I did see a defensive pass interference called in my own end zone. It was nice to see that.

hey man, well I"m optimistic because Ben H was asked the question about the DB glitch and for some reason, I trust this issue will be addressed. The fact that the DB glitch has received recognition it deserves, is a victory in itself. I wasn't even the one to discover it - I just felt the need to post about it....and then obsessed over trying to fixing it for the next year lol.

Anyone else notice a lack of assisted tackles. They seem nonexistent, maybe they are.

I'm with you on this one Matt. I believe that they will have it fixed in the retail. I did see some instances of the db glitch popping up in the demo, but it was seldom and nowhere near the frequency of last years disaster.

However, if it does show up in the retail, then I lose all hope and trust in EA. It's been talked to death over the past year now, so there is no excuse. I'm optimistic as it stands now. Let me rephrase, cautiously optimistic!

Same here. Even in the demo you can tell the DB Glitch was toned down significantly, so I feel great that it'll be gone in retail. Last year I could exploit it whenever I wanted. This year I really had to search for it to get noticed.

I honestly have not seen this DB glitch folks speak about. I've seen no evidence of it at all in any of the 40+ demo games I've played. I'm guessing that's a good thing.

I've settled in on these changes now....

Normal Speed
Heisman Difficulty
Speed Threshold 20

Only Slider Changes...
Both QB Accuracy at 5
Both INTs at 35
HUM Tackle at 60
CPU Run Block at 45

Haven't focused on Special Teams yet.

That's it....moved Pass Coverage for both back to default 50.

Played 10 games on these and, barring any major changes in the final build...these will be my starting point when I get the game.

I am happy about the Kick Return game this year. I actually had the CPU return one for a TD. It is in this video.

I'll have to give those a try; we always seem to be on similar pages when it comes to sliders and difficulty.

I hadn't seen it either in the demo, but that's not going to stop me from believing it is an issue for other people - that is the key. It's not just about me - it's about everyone enjoying the game, and seeing this place flourish with anticipation - not nervousness or apathy. I know you can appreciate that with all the efforts you've put towards the series in the past, AA

Does the Demo come out for Silver Members Tomorrow?

Anyone having a hard time seeing the difference in fast player vs slower ones? I know it can be adjusted but on default it seems kinda hard to see.

Maybe it's just me and I'm not paying close enough attention.

AA, I'll give these a try.

I tried your last set with pass coverage lower and both CPU and my defense had safety's and CB's playing off coverage.

Even with CPU QB ACC at 5, they are pretty accurate, but I'll play some more. I'm sure putting it a 0 would have them very inaccurate.

I thought this was an impressions thread?

Ok, I can not stop the Oregon rush attack.

I think my favorite thing so far outside of the Coordinator Cam, is seperate skill levels for offense and defense.

CPU returned a kick off for a TD against me. That's a first in some time.

Still not sold on the passing game. Like to see more variance in football delivery locations particularly when the QB is under duress or on the move . Short over the middle passes vs. Zone defense in particular maybe too easy.

Glad to see that. I am encouraged with the return game for 14. My first touch with the ball was a PR td. I was excited, but in the back of my mind I was hoping ST blocking is not overdone. I think it's ok because I haven't sniffed another long return since.

I want to score an occassional return TD, but I want to be subject to the cpu being more effective as well.

That one you the cpu had on you was pretty much straight up the gut!

Best game yet

Off/def both on all American
Game speed very slow
Speed dif at 35

Everything else default

Played as BAMA and I saw an amazing amount of real looking animations, reactions & more.

Oh I turned crowd down to about 40 or so, in my mind it's how it sounds thru helmet, lol. Mainly it's so repetitive it gets old & I like the onfield chatter.

Will play a few more but I'm loving demo so far...

Is the Infinity Engine even in this game? Seems barely noticeable compared to Madden
