Yeah normal plays at a far better pace than in Years past. Slow almost feels like very slow from years past.

Big dilimma for me! I am getting this game no doubt about it now.

I've really been enjoying the demo. I've really been enjoying the Zoom Camera as well as the game on Normal. Wide is fun, in some instances, as well. The Coordinator cam is cool, but I feel too far away from the action.

The game overall, as others have said, just feels better. The players have more weight to them, movements and interactions seem more natural. About the only thing I didn't like was that on some tackles when my runner goes down he would slide/morph about 3ft from the spot he fell. This happened about three times so far. That's probably wonkiness associated with the IE 2.0. I can see that being tuned.

I have played fifteen games on the demo. All on default AA. I'm 8-7. The AI seems harder and smarter. I'm being forced to think more intuitively on both offense and defense. I loved 13 (yeah I'm one of those guys) and was still playing until the demo dropped, but 14 already looks like a vast improvement over last year's.

First NCAA demo I couldn't just stop playing. I haven't seen the DB glitch, but I have seen instances of what I thought was just poor decision making. Or maybe I just convinced myself that's what I saw.

Overall, fun, big step up from 13.

I'm going to play on Slow to see how the game looks there, but I enjoy Normal myself.

I am happy with the demo but you never know what pops up at release. I can not remember the last time I purchased a sports game this gen and didn't have to wait for a patch to play 2-3 months after it came out.

Since there is not 1 deal I will be waiting a week before I purchase.

NCAA and Madden seem to be the last two games I buy on 360 before I switch over to PS4. I'll be waiting a extra month for NBA 2k14 on my PS4.
How is this an impression of the demo? What does this have to do with the demo?

I was on the fence about the game.

Other than the speed, for me the Coordinator Cam is the cats meow, and I love the improved CPU offense, particularly in the run game.

All in all the game screams fun to me, which is a feeling I haven't gotten from an EA football game in some time.

I hope the full version Custom Playbooks section has a browse by Play Types would be much easier to add certain plays

I don't follow college football as religiously as I do the NFL, so the NCAA series has never gotten that much play from me. The last one I owned was '11, which I kept for a couple of weeks before trading it in. Before then, it was '07, which I picked up long after it dropped for four dollars. With that being said, I wasn't really expecting a whole lot out of this years version. To my surprise though, I'm finding it to be a very fun game.

Since the demo dropped earlier this week it's been the only thing that I've played. I'm not sure how many games I've completed at this point, but I'd probably guess in the 12-15 range. The majority of them have been using Texas A&M against Oregon on Heisman difficulty. I managed to win one game on that setting somehow, but most of the time I found myself getting ate up by the read option. It's like my defensive line gets swallowed alive every play and the QB is off to the races. For my skill set, I'm finding All American to be a much fairer challenge. I've still managed to lose some on that setting too though, so that's good to see. I don't know if I'll have to make any slider tweaks, but I'm feeling good about how the game feels out the box right now.

I just finished losing to Alabama 14-10 in a very fun game. I've gotta say, even though I lost it was a nice change of pace facing a pro style offense after chasing around qb's these last couple of days. These teams in the demo definitely have their own distinct personalities. With the PS4 on the horizon I wasn't sure how many more Xbox games I'd be buying, but this is definitely on my purchase list. I look forward to starting an dynasty.

How long does it usually take before someone does the real roster names? That would add a lot to the game for me and I'm kind of curious.

I think I have had the most fun with the Michigan/tOSU matchup thus far.

Something I would like to see changed is the un necessary CPU hurry up from teams that are running and sort of spread offense.

Not every spread team runs hurry up all game.

Oregon may be the most diffcult team for me to slow down. On Heisman, their offensive linemen always blow my my defensive line up.

Either way, I've been having some fun when I do stop and play a quick game from time to time. I like the animations. Like I mentioned earlier in the thread, the speed burst combined with the smoother halfback cuts make running the ball fun again. It was stale and annoying last year.

The constant getting stuck behind an offensive tackle really turned me off of NCAA 12 and ultimately became a deal breaker for me.

The more and more I play the demo the more I start to see things that irritate me:

-While I like the fact the cpu offense is harder on Heisman, the run blocking is way too good. I have a really hard time slowing down VT offense with the best team on the game, makes me wonder what will happen with lesser teams.

-On the same note, they really dumbed down the human team cpu players to make cpu offense seem like its much harder.

-I'm still seeing robo qb, completion % remain in the high 80's throughout the game, I know most of the teams on the demo have good offenses, but they also have good defenses.

absolutely Love the demo, Ea has hit a homerun this year I believe. To me this is personally the game I have been waiting on since ncaa 2006.

Cannot Wait to get my hands on the full version!

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but I played a game last night and I called a rollout pass and was being chased by a DL towards the sideline.....I just pushed a button to get rid of the ball and it ended up being a pass across the field to a receiver who ran a curl route. The game ran a replay of the play and the QB's torso twisted in an unnatural way and threw it on a rope to the receiver all the way on the other side of the field. The guys at EA made a point last year to do away with this as it is as unrealistic. Anyone else see this creep back into the demo?

Finally got to play another game before work today AA default sliders with Alabama only because they run my base offense and I just cant get over how much fun I had. At last it feels like I'm playing football again. Downhill running feels like it should, blocking is light years better because players are so much more aware of who to block and not just the O-line, but receivers downfield too! I'm a pig in slop right now c'mon July 5!

gotta post on this again. I cant say enough on how beautiful this game LOOKS this year. Its about damn time! this game will definitely do the trick to hold me over till next gen launch. I just wish the revo speed 2 bar FM was IN. it just wont look right after the roster editors do their thing without that facemask as soooo many QB's(the face of MOST ncaa teams) around the nation wear that piece of gear.

they MUST fix the screen play sack tendency because its back for the AI anyway

Since I skipped NCAA and Madden last year, this is my first time playing with the new tackling engine. While it makes the game fresh, there are some things that annoy me in this demo as far as the tackling goes.

There is an animation where the runner will stiff arm and defender and they will both sort of wrestle each other while the RB continues to pump his legs...on one particular run today, this animation kicked in. Now I'm thinking this new engine will register all hits on the ball carrier...well that didn't happen. I hit the ball carries with two defenders but the contact never registered and he got stuck in that animation while gaining about 5 or 7 more yards for a key 1st down.

Again just a minor annoyance with the system...other than that, I'm still having fun. Went back to play some older versions of NCAA to compare them, and this one is definitely a step above the previous versions. Might even get it on release day.

Colors really pop for sure.

I love love LOVE the neutral site games feature. Gonna be fun as hell doing those match ups featuring OD coaches.

Is zombie nation or the white stripes? Song in the demo?

the only thing that didnt impress me was the stamina bar. i was playing with alabama, and i threw a pass to a receiver, who was wide open and was a sure touchdown but out of nowhere comes a safety and tackles me. i seems like my guy is slow and the computer has no stamina bar

Were you holding R2/RT while running? Its not a sprint button. Its an acceleration button.

Im saying odds are something bad will pop up and we all will be waiting 2-3 months for a patch to fix it. So even though the game feels great. With EA if looks to good to be true it probably is.
So how is that an impression of the Demo. Why is it your "job" to make sure no one gets too pleased with the game. I personally liked last years game. I really like this years demo. They added footplanting this year. Something that was ask for. That's my impression of the demo. You know, the point of this thread.
