This is the first year for the R and P. The R means read and P means pitch. The R is normally over the DE. Sometimes it might be the OLB or DT. R is your first read if the DE crashes down going after the HB you keep the ball with the QB. If you keep the ball with the QB now you look at P or the pitch man. If he commits to the QB then pitch it. If he commits to the HB then keep the ball and cut up filed. BUT If the DE stands up you give the ball to the HB. Hope this helps

you going to tell us what the glitch was?

Just wondering if anyone knows, what is the acceleration burst. We have always had RT as a boost and it doesn't appear to be any different than the past years.

I get you're uploading a video, but could you at least tell us what happened?

Ideally, the game needs to get to the point where you'll have QB's throwing off their back foot, on the run, and with the threat of a D-Line to knock the ball down.

Still, I've tinkered with the QBA and have gotten some really nice completion percentages. Right now I'm at 25 for both sides and I'm fine with it.
What difficulty?

We have to use Xan's editor to get to this function in our Profile settings of save.
Maxed at 127, the QB ratings really come into play and how you press the RS when throwing.

This is without touching the QB Acc Slider, so there will be room for even greater difficulty enhancement without feeling cheated.
How can i try that editor? how this will apply on my xbox360 profile?

Finally got some time to sit down and play through a few games. All I can say is wow, what an improvement. Sure, there are still some issues here and there that could be ironed out but overall this is such an improvement over the past couple of years.

First, the option is just a tad overpowered but overall I think it's great that it actually works now. The blocking is spot on in most cases and there is a great variety of ways to go with it. To the overpowered point, sure it makes it a little too easy but I think once we can turn those sign things off it will get better, and that being said I have run plays where I do everything right but it still blows up for a loss, and plays where I have screwed up but can break a tackle and get a few yards. I'm just glad the option is even viable this year.

Second, the physics are great, in my opinion. M13 was a little overkill, but that's to be expected in the first year. IE 2.0 feels just right, the physics look real about 98% of the time and the players feel weighty and you can really feel some momentum this year. I had a play where my HB shoved off a LB only to have his momentum carry him right into the corner where he got CRUSHED. It was great to see.

Haven't really tried out the new coordinator cam or whatever but I will get to that. It just feels good to finally be excited about college football in the virtual world again.

EDIT: Got such an itch to get back to things that I almost forgot about the running game. Still noticed a little bit of the S running stuff but not enough to really matter, I think. The cuts are great and really add another extra dimension to the game that it has been missing for a while now.

we have had it the past 2 years. it was set to automatic by default. if you turned it to manual you had to press RT/R2 again.

This year's game has improved and shouldn't deter those who enjoy the series from buying the game, I just personally don't feel that the game is THAT much more enjoyable because it's still very stale.

Just my personal opinion based on my time with the demo and thoughts on it compared to the initial reaction people were giving.
Which is fair JS. I think a lot of us understand this is the game we should have been getting a few years ago. The difference will be that some of us are going to be okay with that, and others of us won't be.

I'll start by saying I absolutely LOVE the new game. Admittedly, though, I have kept up playing 13 and really loved that game despite its huge shortcomings. In short, I love college football and therefore any college football game. The positives have been discussed at length here, and I agree with most of them.

However, visually, I just can't get past all of the garbage equipment that is being used. They could call this game "NCAA Throwback Football '91" and no one would bat an eye. It looks beyond ridiculous to see players in new uniforms, new stadiums, on a game with 2013 graphics wearing all of the old helmets, elbow pads, taped fingers, etc. that today's 18-22 year old player would NEVER be caught dead in. This, much more so than some of the presentation problems ruins the immersion factor for me. I don't feel like I'm playing with today's players. I feel like I'm watching ESPN Classic reruns of early 90s bowl games. And, I know, I know. I can edit the equipment. And I will with the top players and with the entire Pitt roster. But, it's impossible to edit everyone's equipment, and by year 4 of any dynasty it looks absolutely ridiculous with almost everyone wearing old-school Riddell and Schutt helmets that are actually outlawed now, and huge elbow pads and shoulder pads, with no gloves or visors to be found. Hopefully EA wakes up on next-gen and dresses the players like it's 2014 and beyond, not 1990.

Another equipment concern is that no offensive linemen seem to wear gloves. I wonder if this is because of the new, team-specific gloves that have been added. Obviously, o-linemen don't typically wear the fancy gloves in real life, but most of them DO wear lineman gloves. Hopefully in the full version, o-linemen can still wear the gray 'o-line' gloves, while skill players wear the new, custom ones.

Glitches happen in demos 420, that's not the death of anything it will surely be fixed either before retail or in a patch

I'm enjoying most of the offensive plays edition. I saw some of the Air Raid Wrinkles in Oregon's Playbook and of course in Texas A&M's such as the Split Offset QB Draw and THE ENHANCED AND FIXED Split Offset HB Mtn Screen. That'll help pass happy guys get some lateral passing game going.

I think the difference now is there is actually a stamina bar. I think you could hold the button down and the player would never slow down. Now once the bar is empty you return to normal speed. Jukes and spins also effect the stamina as well. I could be wrong though.
