O.S.

Okay...Finally the time is here!

Thank you everyone for your patience in regards to this year's release.

We had one hitch towards the end....and I (we) are hoping that everything is alright with that one member.

That being said... I have to say that this year's group of editors have put together a tremendous effort with this year's version of the O.S.F.M.

I want to thank each and every member participating on the chart and from the work thread... but there are a couple of guys who I just have to mention, that went above and beyond with their effort and support.

yanksdaniel99 picked up quite a few teams that were vacant as we got into the process. It was a big help with him setting up those clubs.

Throwback and Willard76 went above and beyond to help out with multiple teams to work on faces (Willard on top of rating 2 teams as well) and especially down the homestretch when it was getting very tight

... and last but CERTAINLY not least... RidinDwnKingsley who rated multiple teams... as well as doing ALL the exporting and importing of every player for the set AND testing the set for balance.

Thanks to O.S. as well... Steve for allowing us to use the O.S. name in conjunction with the set and the mods who I'm sure dread when this time of year comes around and they have to keep the peace... and keep the threads moving and productive. They do a tremendous job.

Guys... I can't stress enough how I want to thank each and every guy who participates in the process... not just the guys doing the editing (who do a GREAT JOB)... but also the guys who provide input in the multiple threads.

Every year I am more and more impressed at how well this site works together to make this happen.

If you really think about it... it's a truly impressive process.

On that note... I'm going to ask you to think about how much time and effort these guys put in to making this work... and in doing so, deserve a certain amount of civility and respect when commenting on a particular part of the work. All feedback is welcome... as long as you present it in a civil manner.

That's all any of us ask of this.

Again... thank you for you patience and enjoy the O.S.F.M. 2013 Edition!... and

Enjoy The Show!

M.K.

Haha it's not a problem though, Bonderman's available as a name so I just had to change it. Doubt many people will even notice.

I've been trying to find a way to get him. I like his stuff...a lot!

If you didn't start yet...load the roster and go to ROSTER CONTROL...there you can make the moves.
If you did start already.....you could only do it if you started with 30 team control. You could then simply go in and make the moves(no need to change any settings if you have everything to AUTO...it will still allow you to make the moves)

It's not roster related for sure.
It sounds like somehow your game is grabbing info from the online MLB.com feed("and placed Kyle Loshe") ....

Knight! Tomba here

Just wanted to Thank you and the team for doing what you do for the community.

I played just ONE minor league game and the difference was amazing...

felt like a real game that i paid 8.50 go see at the local park...

THATS saying something

I've seen several players not wearing batting gloves. I do know that Evan Gattis doesn't wear gloves but I was curious to what other players do not wear gloves? I'm pretty sure almost 99% of MLB players wear batting gloves.

Team,

Thank you so much for the Rosters. Getting home last night from work was like waking up on Christmas morning. I remember in 05' - 06' when I would spend weeks up****** the Cleveland Indians because I hated the minors having fake players. Now as an adult with a 60 hour a week job it's just not possible for me to do it anymore so THANK YOU.

I do have one question/concern that if you guys could answer or educate me on I would appreciate it.

How do you come up with ratings for minor league players? Is it guessing what they potentially grow into based on scouting reports? I noticed a lot on the Indians roster where minor league players (Lindor, Dorsseys, Aguilar) would have better ratings than people that have been in the majors or even at AAA while those guys have barely or maybe not even have reached AA. I know there is a lot of hype around those guys and they are top prospects but I was just wondering if you had a chart/scale formula for rating them or if it was just the best estimation you could come up with based on what you believe they will produce.

Thanks for any feedback and sorry this is so long.

Check out the first post of the linked thread and you'll see the charts with an explanation from Knight on how everything works.

Just wondering, should we be posting possible issues in here or in the other thread? I've seen people doing both and wasn't sure which you preferred.

Thanks for the rosters, I was thinking about waiting for v2 when is it expected to be released?
I'm not even back from my training until Monday night(the 8th?)....
It all depends on how much there is to fix(it doesn't seem like a lot right now....it' seems pretty quick)
I'll also be trying to add in any players that might need to be added in.
I'll definitely keep you posted.

Could just be oversight. A lot of teams ...the equip was the last thing and definitely could have been overlooked. I'll check through as many as I can for v2...thanks!

Either or.....
I'll be checking this thread....but I'll also PM the other guys and ask what's in their threads.
The individual threads are definitely better and easier for me though as combing through this monster will be a task.

will V2 include updated transactions or will it stay backdated to Opening Day? (im hoping for the latter haha)

A+++++++++++ to knight, ridin and everyone else that made these rosters.
C------------- to scea for sub par game.

This game should sell for like $20 and the rosters for $60
I was playing with the yankees and jeter was on first, youk hit a HR and the camera showed jeter in the dugout clapping, then showed him at home plate. Also after a player hits a home run, when the players congrat at home plate, they miss each others hands.

No create a stadium, no create a team, no editing divisions, no financing.
The actual gameplay is good, if just want to play. If there was no osfm, I wouldn't buy this game.

EA please bring back baseball. We need competition in the sports gaming world, this means give up the sole rights to nfl.

Thank You

Thanks to Knight and CO as every year! I noticed one odd thing and it's really minor (most likely a bug). The team's overall rankings are absolutely screwed up. Amazing teams are ranked in the high 20s and terrible non-playoff teams are in the top 10... Likely just a bug with the game and not the rosters. I'm guessing how they value certain attributes like contact and power.

# 635 jm2hill @ 04/04/13 02:15 PM
How are Salaries set in this game?

Was hoping things would be closer to there actual numbers but some players are way off.

Just off the top of my head: Encarnacion, Johnson, Melky, Romero.

Maybe I'm just missing something, but seems weird to me to get money numbers wrong.

# 636 usmgoldeneagles @ 04/04/13 02:24 PM
So, when these rosters are ready, will they look like the opening day rosters? Will Garza be in the Cubs rotation? Will Rodriguez, Teixeira and Granderson be in the lineup? If not, when will they be?

I don't get it either. I mean there's no secret how much all the players make so why not put it in the game? If you spend a great amount of time remodeling the budget system in the game, why not add the correct salaries? The least they could do is make contract length and annual salary editable under Edit Player. Playing franchise mode, there's not as much joy in the product if the salaries aren't correct

# 638 Knight165 @ 04/04/13 04:34 PM
SCEA cannot use real salaries as per the MLB.
Been that way for years now.
Blame them not SCEA.

Trust me....the guys would love to just copy the #'s and not have to figure out some system that doesn't resemble the MLB or MLBPA #'s(that's what the MLB wants....nothing resembling)

Start a petition!

I know Matt Carpenter for STL doesn't wear them.

Not sure if this has been covered, but because I'm at work right now I didn't want to spend too much time searching...

So I've got existing franchises in MLB the Show 12...is there a way to access the "raw data" for the OSFM so that I can go into my old franchises and make the updates myself? Like either excel sheets or screenshots?
