O.S.

Okay...Finally the time is here!

Thank you everyone for your patience in regards to this year's release.

We had one hitch towards the end....and I (we) are hoping that everything is alright with that one member.

That being said... I have to say that this year's group of editors have put together a tremendous effort with this year's version of the O.S.F.M.

I want to thank each and every member participating on the chart and from the work thread... but there are a couple of guys who I just have to mention, that went above and beyond with their effort and support.

yanksdaniel99 picked up quite a few teams that were vacant as we got into the process. It was a big help with him setting up those clubs.

Throwback and Willard76 went above and beyond to help out with multiple teams to work on faces (Willard on top of rating 2 teams as well) and especially down the homestretch when it was getting very tight

... and last but CERTAINLY not least... RidinDwnKingsley who rated multiple teams... as well as doing ALL the exporting and importing of every player for the set AND testing the set for balance.

Thanks to O.S. as well... Steve for allowing us to use the O.S. name in conjunction with the set and the mods who I'm sure dread when this time of year comes around and they have to keep the peace... and keep the threads moving and productive. They do a tremendous job.

Guys... I can't stress enough how I want to thank each and every guy who participates in the process... not just the guys doing the editing (who do a GREAT JOB)... but also the guys who provide input in the multiple threads.

Every year I am more and more impressed at how well this site works together to make this happen.

If you really think about it... it's a truly impressive process.

On that note... I'm going to ask you to think about how much time and effort these guys put in to making this work... and in doing so, deserve a certain amount of civility and respect when commenting on a particular part of the work. All feedback is welcome... as long as you present it in a civil manner.

That's all any of us ask of this.

Again... thank you for you patience and enjoy the O.S.F.M. 2013 Edition!... and

Enjoy The Show!

Hey Ripner, would you be willing to make a roster where you use your fixed up OSFM roster and make a 25-man roster with all of the current injured players put in there respective lineups and rotations. Like AROD on yankees mlb rather than class A and Liriano in the pirates mlb rotation and so on. Basically take the guys that are injured and on the Class A rosters and put them in there respective postions and rotations, whether it be MLB, AAA, or AA....doing this based on the best of your knowledge of where they would be if they currently would not be injured? Just wondering if this would be something you would be interested in doing. Then we would be able to start a franchise with all the stars in there true spots and let the injuries just naturally happen throughout the franchise.

C------------- to scea for sub par game.

This game should sell for like $20 and the rosters for $60
I was playing with the yankees and jeter was on first, youk hit a HR and the camera showed jeter in the dugout clapping, then showed him at home plate. Also after a player hits a home run, when the players congrat at home plate, they miss each others hands.

No create a stadium, no create a team, no editing divisions, no financing.
The actual gameplay is good, if just want to play. If there was no osfm, I wouldn't buy this game.

EA please bring back baseball. We need competition in the sports gaming world, this means give up the sole rights to nfl.

Thank You

Either this or 2k? Stop complaining and get a game designing degree. They put out the best sports game period every year (maybe second to FIFA)

Maybe down the road, but I'm making the roster for my own purposes and being nice and sharing it atm, until I'm done making the roster with proper opening day 25-man and 40-mans I won't be working on this. And truthfully once I get the 40-man and 25-man rosters I want with injured players in class-a I wanna start my franchise :P

I use http://www.baseballprospectus.com/fantasy/dc_week/ to find the injuries since they make them pretty clear (Bold Blue backgrounding detailing dl players), shouldn't take too long for you to move them around. Also it'd be impossible to make proper AAA with the OSFM V1 as their are a lot of missing AAA players since AAA rosters weren't announced till after its release.

If you have a player that does NOT start the season(from a base roster) on the 40 man roster...and has a MULTI year deal....he loses the multi year deal at the end of the season and gets a 1 year deal in it's place.

I've notified SCEA...and hopefully they can rectify it...
SO....make sure anyone you want to keep a multi year deal is on the 40 man roster when you start a franchise(he CAN be in the minors...just has to be on the 40 man)

Well that sucks. 15 games into my franchise. Guess I am starting over

Just check to see if you have anyone that has a multi year deal not on the 40 man to start...

It's very few players....and I don't think any real notable ones.
Chien Ming Wang might be the "biggest" name....

So don't jump the gun.
You'll be able to see the deals(they don't reset until the season ends) right now in your franchise...

I was just letting guys know not to do the 25 man 40 man trick without checking the contracts.

When you hit day 1 of the regular season....set the lineups and put everything for the CPU controlled teams(the second profile with AUTO) back to AUTO(lineups/rotations)...

From there...there will be changes...but only as the season progresses.

Okay....so if I download the one that has the 25 man already set (is that Ridins?), do I have to send down all of the guys to the minors first before I start the season?

Also, once I download the one with just the 25-man done, do I just end spring training and start my season or do I have to do something else?

Yes....

As long as you stop simming before the first day of the regular season...
Send down the 15 players for each team(making sure that nobody in the lineup/rotation...a player listed as MLB isn't one of those players)...
The lineups/rotations will remain intact.

It's when the CPU has to make a decision(more than 25 guys on the MLB level...ie the full 40 man is on the MLB level during ST OR...you send a guy down that's in a lineup/rotation)...that it will make a roster move AND reset the lineup/rotation as it sees fit.

Don't make the CPU make a decision at that last day of ST/first day of the regular season...and it's happy with what you have set.

Are pitch edits included in this? I think that was usually like v3 in the past? Sorry if this has already been answered but this is already pushing 100 pages.

No edits were done to any SCEA made players yet.

There should be no reason for Mr. Knight to thank anyone for their patience; holy smokes the time and effort that goes into this project and the toll it has on life in general is daunting. The generosity of such an endeavor goes way above and beyond what could ever be expected. Every person that uses this roster set should thank their lucky stars of its existence.

A mere THANK YOU is not enough to the whole team, but I it's all I got, THANK YOU all for your time and efforts.

Do you guys think Profar is a bit underrated? There are other prospects rated higher than he is, but he's the #1 Prospect in baseball a should be ready by next year.

If I changed his ratings, what should I bump up, fielding, and speed?

Those look OK to me, I would boost his hitting up to the mid 60's.

Sorry in advance guys for being a moron, but this is my first go 'round with the game and these rosters and I want to be sure of something. I keep hearing a lot of guys mention an opening day roster set, what will be the differences in that one as opposed to this, and when about does it usually get released?

# 676 ILikeTheBraves @ 04/05/13 02:20 PM
Why is there an imported Brian McCann for these rosters?

I will be some minor fixes and the lineups for each level set....basically cleaning up and adding a few things.

I'm still not home and won't be until Monday night the 8th......I'll begin working on them then.

This has probably been answered before, but I had to stop after 20 pages of searching, haha! I am not online at school, I have a flash drive though. Is there anyway to download the file and put it on my PS3 off of the computer?

I am kind of dumb with this stuff.. so any help would be appreciated. Or just pointed to the right post. These look AWESOME!
