O.S.

Okay...Finally the time is here!

Thank you everyone for your patience in regards to this year's release.

We had one hitch towards the end....and I (we) are hoping that everything is alright with that one member.

That being said... I have to say that this year's group of editors have put together a tremendous effort with this year's version of the O.S.F.M.

I want to thank each and every member participating on the chart and from the work thread... but there are a couple of guys who I just have to mention, that went above and beyond with their effort and support.

yanksdaniel99 picked up quite a few teams that were vacant as we got into the process. It was a big help with him setting up those clubs.

Throwback and Willard76 went above and beyond to help out with multiple teams to work on faces (Willard on top of rating 2 teams as well) and especially down the homestretch when it was getting very tight

... and last but CERTAINLY not least... RidinDwnKingsley who rated multiple teams... as well as doing ALL the exporting and importing of every player for the set AND testing the set for balance.

Thanks to O.S. as well... Steve for allowing us to use the O.S. name in conjunction with the set and the mods who I'm sure dread when this time of year comes around and they have to keep the peace... and keep the threads moving and productive. They do a tremendous job.

Guys... I can't stress enough how I want to thank each and every guy who participates in the process... not just the guys doing the editing (who do a GREAT JOB)... but also the guys who provide input in the multiple threads.

Every year I am more and more impressed at how well this site works together to make this happen.

If you really think about it... it's a truly impressive process.

On that note... I'm going to ask you to think about how much time and effort these guys put in to making this work... and in doing so, deserve a certain amount of civility and respect when commenting on a particular part of the work. All feedback is welcome... as long as you present it in a civil manner.

That's all any of us ask of this.

Again... thank you for you patience and enjoy the O.S.F.M. 2013 Edition!... and

Enjoy The Show!

Great job by those involved with these rosters also of course, just trying to help this person out...
Thank you very much. The vault is still up and that roster is indeed very good. Quite a few prospects on there.

EDIT: Nevermind, i found the setting
Yes, PLEASE, tell me where you found that. I want to use the rosters but don't want the CPU screwing them up as soon as Opening Day hits.

You have to start the regular season with 25 players on the rosters. If a team is at 25 the CPU won't touch the line-ups or anything.

Hey guys,

When I go to the vault and click download nothing happens. Where do I go to use the active osfm roster? It isn't uploading the new set automatically. Thanks!!

you have to save the roster and then go load it.

I'm clicking download and nothing really happens. I'm going to check them as soon as I click download and it's the original rosters with no minor leaguers. Sorry I can't figure it out.

But the guy said there is a "setting" that he found that stops the CPU from doing the re-arranging.

There is no setting that will stop it from happening per se.
If you don't send down 15 of the 40 men on the "MLB" roster during Spring Training....you are leaving the CPU to pare it down.
If any player that isn't in on the squad and in one of the lineups...it's going to rearrange them.
Just make sure every player in a lineup/rotation is on the MLB 25 MAN squad on that last day of ST...and it won't change your lineups.

Is there a list or a spreadsheet somewhere that shows the 25-man roster for each team as it was on Opening Day so we can move down the non 25-man guys on the 40-man roster to the minors/DL?

Thanks.

People have already uploaded the the OSFM rosters set with 25 man rosters. I think HustlinOwl has one if i'm not mistaken and its in the vault.

If you plan on playing multiple seasons be careful of 25 man roster downloads. All players not on 40 are losing their contracts and becoming free agents in offseason. So guys like Arod..tex..

Yes...removing guys from the 40 man to get set lineups is NOT the way to go this year.
Using 30 team control and setting up the lineups after ST or sending the 15 players down at the end of Spring Training....way to go!

Hey Knight, how long does it usually take to make the corrections? Waiting to start my franchise until the opening day set drops, just wondering cause I'm itching to start. But I want your corrections & whatnot. Not asking for an ETA, just wondering how long it has usually taken in the past.

Thanks

I'm not even home yet...
So I haven't compiled the corrections...so it's tough to say.
I could probably knock it out in a few days.

I'm home Monday night and will begin Tuesday....so I'll keep you guys posted.
