O.S.

Okay...Finally the time is here!

In the Vault: O.S.F.M2013 by RidinDwnKingsley
Link to file: http://www.sendspace.com/file/0pdx99

Thank you everyone for your patience in regards to this year's release.

We had one hitch towards the end....and I (we) are hoping that everything is alright with that one member.

That being said... I have to say that this year's group of editors have put together a tremendous effort with this year's version of the O.S.F.M.

I want to thank each and every member participating on the chart and from the work thread... but there are a couple of guys who I just have to mention, that went above and beyond with their effort and support.

yanksdaniel99 picked up quite a few teams that were vacant as we got into the process. It was a big help with him setting up those clubs.

Throwback and Willard76 went above and beyond to help out with multiple teams to work on faces (Willard on top of rating 2 teams as well) and especially down the homestretch when it was getting very tight

... and last but CERTAINLY not least... RidinDwnKingsley who rated multiple teams... as well as doing ALL the exporting and importing of every player for the set AND testing the set for balance.

Thanks to O.S. as well... Steve for allowing us to use the O.S. name in conjunction with the set and the mods who I'm sure dread when this time of year comes around and they have to keep the peace... and keep the threads moving and productive. They do a tremendous job.

Guys... I can't stress enough how I want to thank each and every guy who participates in the process... not just the guys doing the editing (who do a GREAT JOB)... but also the guys who provide input in the multiple threads.

Every year I am more and more impressed at how well this site works together to make this happen.

If you really think about it... it's a truly impressive process.

On that note... I'm going to ask you to think about how much time and effort these guys put in to making this work... and in doing so, deserve a certain amount of civility and respect when commenting on a particular part of the work. All feedback is welcome... as long as you present it in a civil manner.

That's all any of us ask of this.

Again... thank you for you patience and enjoy the O.S.F.M. 2013 Edition!... and

Enjoy The Show!

Oh, you're one of those huh? That's good.

Again, I find it funny (no really, it's hilarious) that you chose to ignore the first post of this thread, then proceed to ask a question that's directly answered by said post. Instead, you decided to skip to the end, and say "I don't feel like digging through 51 pages". THEN, when someone answers your question, you call him "snippy". Awesome.

And what does any of this have to do with ppl not having internet? Do you have internet? Are you able to download from the vault? If so, what does ppl not having internet have anything to do with you? Maybe it's you that should be minding his own business.

gotcha, i was running a sim franchise and had some, not nearly as many, but some weird numbers for a few pitchers, some guys had ERA's in the 7's but ill try a few more to increase the sample size.

The Braves roster was done much better this year. The only area that I disagreed on was the potential rating for SS Jose Peraza. I would (and probably will) up his potential to a B from a C. Great job guys!

If you were going to overlook one SCEA player, I think you should have left Ramone Russell on the Rays!

Yeah...you're absolutely right!

Someone asked about the top 50 icons...

There is something not quite right with the system.....I never see 50 players on it...and players like Billy Hamilton who is a 74 A rated player...and Jurickson Profar..and A 77 is not on it...but there are lower rated players who do make it...

Remember...anyone that is on the MLB squad loses the icon(I hope they change this to an age and service time instead)

IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER(okay....by the order of cycling through teams. )
For what it's worth...this is who wound up getting an icon on the base set

-Xander Bogaerts
-Taylor Guerrieri
-Roberto Osuna
-Nick Castellanos
-Kyle Gibson
-Addison Russell
-Danny Hultzen
-Mike Zunino
-Taijuan Walker
-Jose Fernandez
-Lucas Giolito
-Noah Syndergaard
-Travis D'Arnaud
-Robert Stephenson(misspelled on the set...will be corrected)
-Gerrit Cole
-Oscar Taveras
-Carlos Martinez
-Kyle Crick

I'm going to ask SCEA to look into this a bit....

Have you tried cycling through batting/pitching practice to see if any more pop up? If a guy was imported/exported at the MLB level he can gain his icon back by going into the mini modes. Worth a shot at least...

Sorry if this has been answered already, but along with all the correct rosters, are current players ratings edited? Pitches? Equipment?

Thanks

# 573 8 @ 04/03/13 07:07 PM
Is anybody having trouble with the rosters loading? When I go to load them, it comes back and says "load failed". I'll try again a little later.

Not in this version. In future versions, yes.

Anyone having issues with pitcher velocity when you edit players? The ratings are all out of whack and dependent on all other pitches in the arsenal. Is this something new this year or a bug? In the past, all pitch velocities were independent of one another.

I found the issue when I went to look at Alex Meyer's ratings for the Twins and notices his fastball was only 91 mph (80 rating), when he really sits 94-95. I tried to edit it, but a 99 rating gave him only 94 mph. I had to reset his entire pitching repertoire to get his velocities correct. It didn't makes sense to me to give him 99 velocity for a 94 mph fastball...

Profar has service time I believe so that may be why he's not getting an icon??

There is one roster set in the vault by MostValuablePlyr that has the red top prospect icon by the correct top 50 prospects. No idea how he did it but I was duly impressed.

Its like RTTS now, I kinda like it but kinda don't at the same time lol. I love that changeups are dependent on fastball velocity and can be 90+ MPH, but I hate that you can't have a Felix-esque separation of 1-3 MPH... Can you post Meyer's repertoire? I have pitch f/x data for him and it might make a difference...
