I am loving the feeling of the gameplay even more with the retail version. Hit variety this year is amazing. I am just starting to test some things that we worked on while at CD. I love the progression, but especially the regression.

One thing I have noticed is that if there is a patch, I think sim pitching K's, BB, and WhIP need some work.

I haven't seen a 200K pitcher yet and too many WhIP's under 1.2. I also haven't seen a batter with 100 BB yet. That is a small issue that I am sure wouldn't be hard to correct.

After the first offseason players were not inducted to the Hall, but they showed up in offseason number two. Might be a bug?

Game is running smooth for me, I have the digital download. No stuttering so far. Back with more impressions later.

Anybody else think Karros and Lyons are too quiet?

There do seem to be some long stretches of quiet.

At some points Matty V is the only one talking for about. 3-5+ pitches.

I'm loving the new training system!

I dont mind some more silence. Beats repetition. Also gives you a little ballpark feel.

I'm not sure this is a bug or I'm just misunderstanding the words. I just played my 1st game, Indians at Yankees. In the game log for attendance is says: 45,970(24% capacity). Is that saying the stadium had 24% of the seats filled?

I didn't buy MLB 12 as I skipped last year, would I be seeing a big upgrade from MLB 11 to MLB 13?
I skipped v12 too and think v13 is a big upgrade over 11. The lighting and sharpness of the graphics stick out right away as something you will see, everything just looks better. The batting helmets in both sunlight and under the lights at a night game are great. The stick'em\pinetar on the helmets, as Sammy would say, looks so real. My favorite thing though is the baseball caps. First time the camera got close to Garza in my first game I looked at his cap and thought "wow, his hat actually looks like its made from cloth". Of course this is just visual stuff and while it doesn't really effect the game itself it does add a lot to the game.

That stuff is the stuff you see and notice first. The important stuff though is, as others have posted, the better physics that determine how realistic the game plays. IMHO it is a big upgrade over v11. I think if you buy the game you will be pleased.

After buying the last 2 years on release day, I didn't buy either the PS3 or Vita version today. I'm still stuck on MLB 12 and don't want to stop playing it just yet.

I'll get MLB 13 at some point (I'm sure once the real MLB season starts I'll be itching to play MLB Live) but right now, I'm hanging tight with MLB 12.

I appreciate all of the impressions.

Feels like infielder speed is perfect with default sliders. Seeing choppers up the middle get through this year, never would see that previously.

Having the same problem with stuttering, especially at the start up screen where dirt being swept off of home plate. It is very frustrating in game.

Like everyone else, I love the ball physics. Had my first ever HR go to the review booth and it was ruled a foul. Stadiums look even sharper this year, and the helmets look great.

Has anyone else had a harder than usual time with fielding infield ground balls?

Adding in Steve Lyons is tremendous.
I know guys are hating on the commentary and I can see it to some point. But hearing Lyons is not only giving me some flashbacks...but it's refreshing.
Really nice job by Lyons.

I was in the same circumstance and I believe the same thing. He has the perfect baseball video game voice. It's just so smooth. Although I like Matt, Steve is making me think of wanting Thom Brennaman instead.

Foul tips being caught by the catcher...nice!

Hit the pitcher twice my last game. That was a tad disappointing. I have avg'd 1 per game in 3 games. There do seem to be a lot of "hard" hits. Might try slider adjustment, im on default all-star. Not sure if i want to adjust "solid hits" or "power"...im happy with # hits per game! Probably should play a couple more before i decide. As someone who struggled to hit last couple years, im MUCH happier with this years hitting so far. Putting ball in play more, actually able to score multiple runs in innings sometimes, staying alive longer in at-bats, etc.

I love the new presentation, but I dislike that the Sounds of the Show player walk-up songs volume.

They have a very low volume to them this year. I am using the same songs that I used on MLB 12, and the volume on that game was fine. This year I hear the crowd more than the song.

I also feel that the outfielder arm strength is way too high this year, but that can be fixed with sliders.

Also wanted to say I like the soundtrack! I know musical tastes vary, but I for one am very pleased!

We might be able to do something about the SOTS volume no promises though.

Any way to make Joba Chamberlain not so fat? If they give him the "Buff" body type instead of "Fat" he will look much more realistic. In the game, he looks to be the same size as CC Sabathia!

If there is any way to edit this in a future roster update it would be greatly appreciated.

Why were the Rays light blue home alternate jerseys removed from the game in favor of their throwback uniform that they are only using one time (last year)? They wear those light blue uniforms every Sunday. And then they have two near identical throwback uniforms taking up two slots. That's very disappointing to see. I understand we lack throwback uni's but to remove something that's been in the game for 2 years, I believe, for a one off jersey is just a strange decision.

This game is unplayable. I am putting it back in the box and am not touching it until they can fix the stuttering problem. Almost every single pitch freezes up, making it impossible to hit. If they can't patch this, I am done with this game. It is unacceptable to pay 60 dollars for something that doesn't work.
