Another thing i've noticed, it seems like there are much better lay up animations that are simple. What i mean is that players are doing regular lay ups most of the time instead of like in 2k12 where they would do these stupid badly programmed overly complicated double clutch lay up animations that are way overdone. A nice touch.

Dunking might still be a bit exaggerated, harden did some kind of crazy tomahawk dunk last night. Come on 2k, not everyone who can dunk decently does those kind of dunks. He rarely dunks like that.

Rebounding, from what i've played seems the same as last year, but maybe a bit quicker/better. This is actually not good, because rebounding last year was terrible and IMO needed a lot of improvement.

I've still seen some of the unnecessarily bobble the ball like an idiot animations, for me and the computer. This is when somebody makes a pass to an open big, and the game for some reason thinks that they need to fumble the ball around like an idiot for a few seconds before regaining control. I'd like to see less bobble animations.

The dribbling seems pretty good, but i still haven't completely gotten the hang of the controls for dribbling.

I also like the bounce pass feature, that was long overdue. Although i have noticed some dumb passes here and there.

Getting past your man feels more satisfying this year because it's harder to get into the paint(well at least to me it is, but then again i'm still getting the hang of the new controls). I blew by westbrook with chalmers because he anticipated the wrong way, and i got a nice little two hand dunk(not an exaggerated one). It was pretty nice.

You know... for all the complaints we always see about "basketball fundamentals" it's funny to me how these impression threads are always littered with "hit him the crossover" or "threw it down HARD."

Yes - those basketball fundamentals are really what people see right off the bat, eh?

I'm torn on the decision to have the dribbling as the default. With so many people accustomed to the shot stick, to make it a SECONDARY function now as the default baffles me. It's their bread and butter for years and now it plays second fiddle.

I tried to have an open mind about this but I find myself yearning for the option to change the default control to the SS and have the dribbles secondary. [Edit - Yes I know you can change this in the full game. A great choice at least.] This is something I never agreed with in Live's gameplay direction - just because dribbling happens at a more frequent rate doesn't mean it should be easily done. I see the same thing here although the dev. team has done a much better job of having more contact with the ball handler. I still see this being a problem (at least on defaults) of an inexperienced user taking a star and flicking the stick until they are all the way on the paint. I was able to do this on a few occasions and the Lebron, DWade, Westbrook and Durant all easily got to the rim.

Still excited for the game... but in the hopes to spotlight the "control stick" for dribbling and go against my design (which was shot stick first, LT opens up dribbling) this game opens up more to the casuals. A good thing for sales - accessibility is huge... but not a good thing for those that want the skilled players who learn the depth of the controls stand out.

I love how people are obsessed with winning, even on a 5 minute demo. So many posts in here speaking about win loss record on a 5 minute quarter. So much ego involved. Congrats, you are 12 -1 on a 5 minute online demo. I'm sure that record will carry over into real online play. Then we wonder why cheesers and exploits exist. It is the ego driven obsession with winning and then posting on here for approval and validation that drives the cheesers. Sorry if I sound like Phil Jackson but its just funny to read people posting thier demo win loss records in here, like anyone cares.

Double tap pass button (x-ps3) for fake pass

For shot fakes, tap shoot button (square-ps3)...or hold L2 + flick shot stick (R3)

Anyone know and/or confirm if "pick 'n roll" L1 button broken on ps3 demo?!? Im having issues getting it to work...definitely not working online, cant recall if it worked offline. Thx

You think a look at his top ten dunks(meaning some of the best dunks he's ever done in his career), means he dunks like that anytime he gets space? And none of those dunks looked like the crazy tomahawk he pulled off in the game, his arm was cocked back so far it was ridiculous lol(it was like his #7 dunk but crazier). The point is, while he's definitely not a bad dunker, he's not a dunk artist either. There needs to be tendency for how often people try to do crazy dunks.

You do that...

Played a bunch of online games (both 360 & PS3) and it's weird having them quit on you.....its not like its recording your wins and losses or anything...

Has anybody else experienced this? I'm not even winning big....

Anyone else having fun with the flopping feature? I was flopping all game lol. One time they actually called an offensive foul when I flopped. I was doing it all game.

Just for the hell of it... hell yeah! It's funny seeing your player fall with no contact!

Also, how do you do a bounce pass?

I was annoyed with flop feature because I played a few matches and guys intentionally flopped throughout the game.
