That bug from last year where you miss a shot and your teammate tips it in, and it's credited to you, is in this demo.

My only complaint is the rebounding. Guys are still stuck on stupid and almost never in position. I don't think there are enough fouls being called. Otherwise I like the game.

Also, did anyone notice that when you finish an alley-oop, the backboard get's cloudy? WTH is that about?

Demo is set to Pro diff, default game style -- which leans more toward the casual audience.

When you get the retail version, change the game style to Simulation and play on All Star or above for a more OS-friendly experience.

The new defensive animations are perfectly tuned, IMO. You can get consistent contact without knocking the dribbler back 3 feet on every bump. Love all the new animations.

Hate the presentation, hate the free-style stick. Im not feeling the arcadish, overly-quick dribble moves as a replacement for easy control over shot types, but I understand we can change it back, right?

I don't get that decision, honestly. How much more easy And-1 dribbling can we possibly need? Now pulling off certain shot types on command can take up to 4 different inputs (Hold trigger, press B, then double tap shoot?), while any decent ball handler can whip out Hotsauce moves by wiggling the stick around randomly?

Overall, I love it though...as always.

Go to "Search" and type in "NBA 2K13 demo". That worked for me earlier, then they showed the demo in New Releases.

I find it hard to rebound in the demo. Even if my guy is in-position and boxing out an opponent at the back, the opponent behind my guy will still be able to get the rebound. My guy was Chris Bosh and the opponent was Perkins.

Do you have suggestions on how to rebound properly?

Walk up animations are nasty. Missed that alot. Also saw some really nice open floor sprint animations.

I like the fact that if a guy isn't ready to receive a pass, he doesn't magically warp into a contorted awkward looking catch. Ball will sail right by.

Can't wait to dig ino this for real.

• New shot block and shot contest animations, which are overdue -- the defenders needed some love on the cool animation front, they're always getting posterized in the Sprite Slam Cam. On one play I tried a spin dunk with Wade and Thabo Sefolosha rose up and swat-blocked me. Very smooth-looking and awesome.

• Some new passing animations too. Sweet looking.

• New control scheme will definitely take some getting used to. The triple threat position moves are now kind of an afterthought, which is a shame. The new scheme seems to encourage even more dribbling, when most people I see online already overdribble the ball. Maybe I'm just a grumpy old man, but I don't get the appeal of the new system at all.

• In a general way, the game seems a bit slower, and the controls feel a little less precise and responsive, like the game is doing more to smooth out the inputs. Hard to say whether a positive or a negative. I sometimes thought the 2k12 controls were a tad twitchy.

• What's with all the squiggly gold lines? I mean, slick-looking menus have never been 2k's specialty, but these are just goofy-looking. Thanks a lot, Jay-Z.

• It seems they left post play pretty much intact from last year, which is nice since they made such a major change to the rest of the control scheme.

• Player models are sharper-looking and more detailed. You actually see players' fingers moving independently on jumpers and passes, which is pretty incredible.

• It looks like they changed out all the body-up animations on dribblers for more subtle versions. Looks more realistic but not sure if the game will play more realistic -- seems like another change to encourage dribbling around in circles. It'll be interesting to see how it plays on different difficulty levels and simulation sliders.

All in all, I'm sure it will be a great game but it has big shoes to fill in 2k12.

those of you getting beat off the dribble by players hit that RS in the direction your getting beat makes a nice cutoff move and hold those shooter as tight as you can.

IMO, it would have been better to have the control stick activated by the LT or LB, instead of it activating the shot stick. It feels so unnatural because you actually have to remember to hit it when trying to score, when in reality it was much better scoring off naturally since opportunities come and go very fast - my brain and body doesn't react that fast.

On another note, I accidentally pulled up for a shot mid-range with LeBron, it bounces off the glass and was looking to go in, but it bounced off the front of the rim and Wade comes flying down the lane for a put-back slam. Yes, I did that on purpose.

Took the words right out of my mouth. The Walk-ups help dictate the pace of the game. Too many times in 2K12 you could be across half court with 23 seconds left on the shot clock. Been seeing around 18-20 left on shot clock by the time I cross half court. Could just be me idk.

Also, the open floor sprints have been great. Seeing the speed difference between players now is going to play a huge part of the transistion game this year which has been improved with smooth cuts from rebound to fast break. Overall impressed.

Awesome. Its Like 2k and Live Had A Baby and created the god of all basketball video games.

Freestyle Passing, Dribble Stick, Special Attributes With 2K(best animations in sports games). Too Hype.

PS: Made Chalmers Fall Twice in One Quarter. How Sorely I Have Missed Ankle Breakers in B-Ball Games.

Now To Wait For Launch Day!!!

Yup love how the sigs make each team play like their real life counterpart, you throw up a bad quality shot against these teams they are running it down your throat, so many things like if your playing a half court set with the heat it usually takes running through LeBron to get a good shot, just so many sim compliments.

This game is amazing it not perfect. I got used to the controls quick. The in-paint contact is epic imo. Attacking the basket quick and clean. Defense I got owned by the CPU you have to play smart or suffer the wraft of durant or westbrook. This is gonna be getting all of my playing time
