I love that holding LT gives you an auto contest if your in position....I've wanted this back since 2k7....should cut down on the BS shots

I'm really jealous. I live in Oklahoma, grew up 20 mins from the arena, and am obviously a huge Thunder fan ... yet, I've played 8 games and have gotten the Heat every time.

This is awesome but playing against a deadeye is almost useless

After a few games of play, the pace seems a bit fast to me. More arcade-like, but I'm sure it's because it's only one quarter. Would be nice if the actual game is more of a real pace. Realistic 12 minute quarters would be impossible at the demo's game pace.

The movement then becomes much more dramatic and feels as well as looks like you're selling the crossover.

In fact, do whatever you can to get Harden in the game, because that is the most fun you'll have dribbling. EVER. Dude literally has the smoothest ball handling in the demo.
Once I realized that I couldn't sub against the CPU, I literally started a game a immediately committed 6 intentional fouls with Thabo just so I can get Harden in ... and he was definitely worth it. His handles are fun and I pulled off some incredible drives to the bucket. I don't think I've ever had so much fun missing lay ups before. But literally, some of the contested lay up animations were so smooth looking that is was awesome even when I missed.

Has anyone seen the one-hand bounce pass on the fastbreak yet? ....I'm talking about the control one with (LT) and the pass button.

Everytime I do it, it is the slow two-hand bounce pass, which is not realistic on a fastbreak. Usually on a fastbreak the player throws it with one-hand. Maybe it is a passing attribute like for Steve Nash or somebody.

Edit: Just did it with Lebron

What do you know? The shot stick is growing on me.....once people change the controls to camera relative/ get on their desired cam- dribbling will make so much sense to them...

It's really not unresponsive at all.

I'm not swing you guys block issue either....IMO it's miles better than 2k12

Also have to remember that we're playing with probably the two best fastbreak squads in the league. Both teams have the athletes to change ends in a flash. I'd actually be a little worried if the pace felt slow and methodical with these two teams. But yeah, hopefully not every team/game feels this frantic.

At first I thought it just switched between the teams every match but then it happened to me also for like 10 straight matches...I thought it was maybe because you win with them you can keep them or something stupid like that because I didn't "lose" in any of those matches and when I did I got the Thunder.

But I doubt it's for that reason... Still strange but it's what ever.

I can see this being the same way with the controls. Play 20-30 full games (a couple of nights) and I bet the controls will start to feel natural.
Exactly. People are just lazy nowadays. And want this world to be a big, easy handout. How about actually working to achieve something for once.

Thank you.

People are to quick to judge. Proved my rant from earlier. Good to see you're enjoying the game.

I've won 11 games, lost 5. 16 games still no Thunder, smh.

Well I'm done, cuz the Heat are getting boring. I wanted to test out Harden and PJIII.

Finally got to use the Heat, LeBron is a monster on the break. You've got to be real smart playing the Heat (I never experienced this as a Thunder player, in general the Thunder seem easier to use) but LeBron will just ROCKET out into open space. Got two breakway dunks with him after having not dunked in nearly 10 games as the Thunder so far, let alone having a fast break.

My main thing so far is that I still end up spinning when I didn't intend to, or forgetting to hold L2 when kicking out for an open three, but I can tell I'll get the hang of it. I love the way this game moves otherwise, something about it feels a lot more solid and less floaty than any previous 2K.

Sorry but how is this a good thing? I simply hate animations that aren't triggered by user input.

Honestly I just don't see the reason to going back to the old control scheme! This was real easy to learn on the first try.... Now I am just spending time to learn the dribbling moves and once the actually game comes out I will experiment more with the shot moves..... I just love the fact that the players are playing a lot more like themselves!!!

# 759 Goffs @ 09/26/12 12:04 AM
Just finished 3 games with the PS3 version and I was right about the control part the players on defense feels less momentum heavy to me and I'm able to keep up with the guy in front of me...

Another thing I learned was that you gotta lay off the L stick if you are doing moves with the Right....since the L stick is also dribbling moves its kinda counter productive....I couldn't figure out why I felt that I had no control and it turns out it's because of the L stick.

I'm getting the hang of it

Well guys with deadeye willl shoot right through that with no % deduction if your not close enough, but others may be bothered. You can also contest with a Y jump it just gives you a easier way to defend other than great shooters
