Lol, did you really just compare learning the controls on a video game to kevin durant ACTUALLY learning dribble moves in real life? Look, i agree that some people need to calm down and give the controls a chance(to me they feel unnatural but i attribute that to me being used to previous control schemes), and that it will take some time. But you should calm down a bit as well man.

Man, the learning curve is WAY steeper than I would've thought. Playing in broadcast cam is throwing me, but I'm getting used to it.

I keep doing dribble moves when I try to score. I'll probably default to pressing square this year.

Do these online games count to your record ? I just held a dude to 4 points.

It's a decent comparison.

When you try something the first few times you don't automatically get the hang of it after trying it for 5 minutes. Don't matter what it is.

I'm not frustrated with the game. It's just the fact that I'm pissed about what this forum has turn into. A bitching fest smh.

i wonder if in a 12 min quarter, the final game stat would be realistic. too much/easy to block? easy to score but the defense improved much?i don't see the logic.

The pacing in the demo feels right....I hated playing 2k12 on 12 minute quarters as the first quarter would end up in 30 points lol

Going to d/l the ps3 version when I get home...going by history the controls for the ps3 version always felt tighter for me ....

Remember, there are no sliders, it's probably on rookie or pro and on casual sliders. Plus, it's not the retail version so don't worry about it.

On another note:
- There are still no replays after fouls if the ball doesn't go in
- No stats overlays during free throws. Hope they didn't take that out of the game.

Changed the whole demo for me... Cant play on Broadcast camera as good as it looks...

Loving the presentation, player interaction, kinect controls, and smoothness of animations so far. Disliking the momentum of player control, and sluggish movement.

Loving the demo.

Im not going to waste my time trying to master the controls. I hate "camera relative". Broadcast camera doesn't help either. It makes it to hard to learn the controls when every time you want to do a crossover, or spin, you have to move the r-stick in a different direction. I will have to get use to using a face button again for hop step.

Does this happen to anyone else? Sometimes when I spin, my player will do a small step back after spinning. He wont crossover, he will just do a step back.

Post game is once again awesome. I feel this aspect of 2k basketball does not get enough love. If you learn the post game, you will be almost unbeatable.

Some things I have seen from the A.I. Is beautiful. Player movement is awesome. Playing with MIA, players are constantly moving. Im also seeing players being where they are suppose to be. Ray Allen, and Chalmers is staying at the 3pt and never goes into the paint. Durant also stays on the perimeter.

How in the world do you do the protect the ball stance? I know how to jab step, and step over, but when I push the R-stick back with no dribble used, my player starts to dribble. Is hitting Y to go into the post up stance now used as the protect the ball stance? I know you can rotate the R-stick out of the post to do a quick spin, so maybe that how you do it now? If so I will also have to practice that more to make it look smooth. Also have to practice how to launch after taking a jab step, or step over.

I found my go to move. In the post while holding the ball move LS toward basket + Y for faceup drive, Hold R2 + double tap O for spin dunk. I tried and tried to do this all last year but it was nearly impossible due to the fact that after spinning in the post, you had to rotate the stick to spin. The controls was just to clustered to do this. Also with the faceup drive, it makes it look so beautiful. Its the move players like Dwight, and Amare always do where they faceup out of the post, jab step one way, spin another way, then finish with a dunk. Unstoppable with the right player.

This is what im talking about, except Dwight does not take a jab step after facing up in this vid.
Hmmmmm.....I smell cheese from Dwight...

Complaining does not equal bitching. If some people have a problem with something, they have a right to say so. If nobody complained about anything, nothing would get fixed.

# 713 HighRiser32 @ 09/25/12 10:50 PM
played 9 or 10 games now, my impression is a 10/10 gameplay. passes are perfect speed, 1on1 situations are great, new iso moves are the most fun i've ever had playing any sports game ( defense included). Compared to 2k12's loose gameplay it is tighter than a virgin on prom night.

If it was constructive criticizing I would have no problem.

But it's not. Majority of "criticism" on the game from posters here is straight up bitching. If people learned to play the game in depth like 2K has allowed and blessed us to and actually plays people who play real basketball, the amount of bitching would decrease by like a million.

The graphics are definitely a big leap forward on PS3, didn't notice that on 360.

Then again, I just recently discovered the RGB full range colour on PS3. If you're on a PS3 with an LCD or Plasma that supports this and haven't turned it on yet, make sure you do so. It makes an incredible difference in the contrast, the colours really look amazing.

It could just be the demo too, but I was extremely frustrated with the catch and shoots when I played my 20 or so games online earlier on 360, but they seem mostly great so far here. It could be due to the game constantly forcing me to use the Heat earlier and their players having odd releases, but you should still be able to catch and release smoothly with a James to Chalmers look.

If the catch and shoot game is this nice in the retail I'll be satisfied, I'm getting looks off with KD extremely quickly curling to the perimeter.

Also love getting the ball stolen away from me by Shane.B when it's in Russels hands.

PS3 - I press L1 for pick and no one comes? Can we pick player again to set pick? No icons appear when i press L1...confused?!?

Game feels more organic now animation-wise...love it! Defense is fun now as well.

broadcast camera relative dribbling is such a mess man... i feel the potential of this dribble stick but not on this demo settings
