Um ... really? You got that I'm mad that I can't cheese from my post? First of all I barely play online because of all the cheesers I encounter. Second, when I play sports video games, I like to emulate what the sport actually plays like. I was saying that 2K11 played more REALISTIC, which is a GOOD thing. If anything, 2k13 could lend itself to more cheesing by people waggling the right stick frantically until the player/CPU bites on a hesitation/crossover. So yeahhhh... if you can just clarify, that would be greaaaat....

Online ranked matches in 2k12 were either set to pro or Allstar difficulty. I don't think anything ever "officially" was released from 2k about this.....

Edit: I anyways thought it was set to all star?

I've heard pausing the game during the demo does not allow the user to un-pause. I don't know for sure though.

I use to be a shot-stick fanatic, but recently I've noticed I'm relying on the square button to shoot. Huh.

i kinda got the hang of the controls. and when you do get the hang of the game it gets better and better every time. Now i can see how good the gameplay is .

I notice that when you walk up the court, your player is actually telling teammates what to do WOW

This will probably be their best game. I can tell the gameplay will be, at the very least, good.

But I can't anymore with the control of the players. It's killing it for me. At times the player control should be smooth, I feel like I'm pushing hard for movement. At times when it should be more heavy, it's too smooth.

I never feel right with the sticks.

It's just a personal thing. Ill be canceling my pre order.

Man, the crossovers and dribbling are so sick in this game, I was pausing the game after breaking ankles and throwing down some ferocious dunks only to find there is no replay option, lol. Online is laggy as hell though, the players feel like they're playing under water or something - I'm not holding my breath (no pun intended) for them to fix online as it's been pretty terrible for years.

On another note, I absolutely hate the presentation - the way when you score and look at the score board it kind of does this weird equalizer bars thing you see on radios or in a music studio - a complete turn off. I then realized maybe this was the result of Jay-Z's influence on the game.

At times I felt as though I was playing Def Jam Rapstar and not a genuine basketball sim. The presentation is kind of an eye sore but I'll most likely get used to it. It's not a game-breaker.

i like how 2k shows how good Miami spacing is. This miami team is going to be hard to defend in real life and 2k. BRAVO 2k

Wow, that's pretty drastic for a demo experience.

Just because something doesn't make sense or feel right to you doesn't make it a bad thing. The control are fine and you have the option to change to the old control scheme if you want. Out of all the online games Iv'e played so far, no one has been able to abuse the controls by constantly flicking the stick.

does anyone know how to do the 4 stand still set-up iso moves?

i 4get the bottoms off the top of my head but i think from a standstill you would hold 1 of the triggers (whichever 1 didnt do the triple threat moves) and you could press up, down, left or right and the player would do a set-up move. where have those moves gone?

i dont see them in the advance controls thread either.

--------------

just wondering what did ppl expect the presentation to be like when they heard Jay-Z was gonna be ex.producer?

obviously noone really knew the answer to this question but now that we do know and then you take into account Jay's involvement, are ppl really surprised that much the presentation went in this sort of direction?

The laughing evil clown can only be heard in the demo. I didn't hear it in 2k12 retail so I'm confident that he will not make an appearance in retail version of 2k13.

You can except for those extra laggy games.

Are you sure you read anything?? LS does basic moves and RS does crossovers and everything else. If you want stand still moves tap, double tap or Triple tap RS in any direction.

For example if you double tap RS back the ball handler will do a double behind the back move.

It's been a cumulative thing with 2K. There was a version that did away with this feeling. Maybe 2K11? I feel like this version returned that feeling I had during my college days when I just couldn't enjoy this series.

Let me iterate that I didn't want to sound overly dramatic or anything. I'm just posting a personal feeling.

I purposely avoided saying the control is bad or doesn't work. It doesn't work for me.

Also, I'm not talking about dribbling moves. I'm talking about player control. It feels sluggish when it should be smooth and too smooth when it should be a bit more heavy.

It's just my general feeling when I play the demo. I want to move left and I find myself pushing my player hard just to get the appropriate movement. If I want the player to simply take a hard angle, instead I find that player taking a hesitation dribble before getting there. My hands don't do what my mind wants and I'm incapable of enjoying the game for that reason.

Then its vice versa on defense when I only want to take a slight step to the right but find myself taking a full speed step and suddenly the offensive player is by me, only giving me a chance to recover because of the body-to-body contact that is much more prevalent in this year's version.

ok, what was said here did work, but all the wing players do the same moves and all the bigs do the exact sames moves.

thats not how it was b4, most of the players had 4 moves that were unique to them...

now Russell, Kevin, Thabo, LBJ, D.Wade, and Mario all perform the exact same moves.

the bigs do a simplier version, but still all the bigs do the same moves.

how do you do the moves that were specific to that player or have those player specific animations been removed?

Not sure what your referring to. Are you talking about the escape dribbles if so Hold LT and double tap the RS back, right or left.
