2K Sports will be live streaming a full game of NBA 2K13 on Wednesday, September 19th at 5:00 PM EST. Check out the Oklahoma City Thunder (controlled by Ronnie2K) against the Miami Heat (controlled by LD2K). Here is the link to the live stream.
Game looks sick. The pacing of the game is much better with the walk up animations. I think the fatigue rate has increased. The improvement to the pick and roll is welcome and one of the obvious improvements. There is more contact on the picks and based off what I seen in the gameplay I would definitely turn up the defensive rotation to force more ball movement if beat off the pick. Take a look at the 47:00 minute mark with Harden. The CPU AI teammates play much, I mean much better without the ball offense and defense.
I looked at the Wade dunk that was missed lol. There is a chance he missed becuase his turbo was depleted. What if they have it balanced so you can't just hold turbo and expect to dunk if your turbo meter is depleted.

There's only one time in real life I can think of a player missing a dunk due to their turbo being depleted....
It was LD he played with the heat. But does it even matter, who was doing the dribbling the fact that we can pull off sets of moves like that is amazing.
I don't see how that's particularly more sim than what Ronny and LD2K were doing except the execution is smoother (they should be, being in a highlight compilation) and a few more 3 pointer screen plays were run.
They might have been forcing just a tiny bit here and there (and there are plenty of contested shots in the video) but didn't do anything terribly unsim.
Full disclosure: I play like Ronny and LD2K, but I have a built in excuse-- I play as the Warriors and they do freelance a bit and push when they can. They're also terrible in the half court set in real life. I probably take too many shots with Curry though because his shot is just so much more consistent than anyone else's. In general, I try to keep most of the players involved-- have Curry create some shots, go to Lee and Bogut in the post, kick out to an open Klay, Rush, or Curry when opportunity presents, and drive the lane and finish methodically with Klay or Rush if they can get the first step on their defender with a pump fake. Should probably call a lot more plays but I try to keep it believable. Sim-lite?
I have no problem with people freelancing against me. I try to play like what ever team I'm playing with, I had a stretch in 2K12 were I was playing with the Warriors. I pushed it alot, even off some makes that's how they play. I would push the ball up the court if I had a look take it, if not then I ran my offense.
But if I'm playing with the Celtics I'm walking up the ball with Rondo and running my offense. There's nothing wrong with how Ronnie and LD2K played it was far from cheesey, but I was expecting cause it's coming from the 2K family to be sim oriented. But then I realized at the end of the day they have to sell units so they "dumbed it down" a bit to appeal to casuals.
Imagine a casual seeing arrows on the floor while LD2K ran Miami's primary Horns Offense they would be mad confused and be like wtf is going haha.
