2K Sports will be live streaming a full game of NBA 2K13 on Wednesday, September 19th at 5:00 PM EST. Check out the Oklahoma City Thunder (controlled by Ronnie2K) against the Miami Heat (controlled by LD2K). Here is the link to the live stream.
It looks like they reworked the Pick system to where you can toggle to if you want your guy to Roll, Slip or Pop. This is definitely a great add, but I still want to see if you can change it after you read how the defense reacts once the pick is set.
You could always choose if you wanted the screener to slip, roll or pop, only there was nothing telling you what he'd do after the screen (visually).
It's just an overlay that lets you know which action the screener is going to perform after you let go of LB/L1.
I haven't read through this thread as I just got home, but I'll just add my opinion. The video was fun. I didn't get to see it all as I was at work, but it seemed very fluid. My main gripe... Why Thunder vs Heat? Am I missing something? LD2K seems to always use the Lakers, and Ronnie2k mentioned he mainly uses the Clippers and.. someone else. So why this? Honestly, I wanted to see different teams. We'll be seeing Thunder and Heat in the demo over and over. It feels like today they're just playing the demo is, before they chopped out the 1st quarter for us.
One thing that I cannot seem to not notice is LeBron's headband. Its a bit low if you know what I mean. It should be covering his hairline not his entire forehead. In 2k13, the headband placement is similar to his rookie years back in Cleveland.
I've seen sweat. Can't really gauge to what extent but it's better than 2K12 imo.
Thank you sir.
What about the thing that tells wether you're doing a pick'n'roll or a pick'n'fade. Isn't that a problem when you play 1v1 on the same console like you did against Ronnie? Is there an option to turn if off?

It happens so fast you don't have time to really read and react. If you pay attention you'll get burnt quickly. It's one thing to watch it on a screen and play it in real time. That's my honest opinion.
I've never been able to say, "oh,he's rolling, he's coming left, and his offensive player is using the screen RIGHT this moment" all at once. I'm busy trying to read when the offensive player is making his first step.

Ok, I'll have to experience it, but I feel like I'am gona hate it.
Btw, I knew you where gona be lost without Kobe in the 4th. If you had tied that game we would of had extra gameplay. Hehe. GG was fun anyway.

Oh? Like 2K11 sweat trails? Or more an overall increase in shinyness? Sweat should also cause the reflection highlights to go all the way to white. Didn't quite see that in the video. Also all the ways the light plays off the little imperfections in the skin. 2K12 had a little bit of that (looked more like a noise texture) but it wasn't executed as nicely as 11.

We should really be able to turn that off though. I can see someone playing often enough that they start to anticipate whether a screen is a slip, roll, or pop by what colored text flashes by the screener.
I seen a few nice bounce passes from the gameplay vids we seen of 2K13. Looks dope! Everyone who played me knows how effective my P&R game is this year, watch out cause it looks like I could actually thread the needle to the roll guy this year.
No.
This is sim:
This video is edited. I'm not saying it wasn't a sim game, but I can't tell from the video you posted.
I didn't see anything questionable in the gameplay, the physics still look stellar, the dribbling looks ten times better and the missed dunks made me happy even tho, LD lost and I thought he would win. The player's skin and faces look really improved. I'm surprised by how well the game looks, looking forward to Tuesday so I can experiment with the control stick.

I don't see how that's particularly more sim than what Ronny and LD2K were doing except the execution is smoother (they should be, being in a highlight compilation) and a few more 3 pointer screen plays were run.
They might have been forcing just a tiny bit here and there (and there are plenty of contested shots in the video) but didn't do anything terribly unsim.
Full disclosure: I play like Ronny and LD2K, but I have a built in excuse-- I play as the Warriors and they do freelance a bit and push when they can. They're also terrible in the half court set in real life. I probably take too many shots with Curry though because his shot is just so much more consistent than anyone else's. In general, I try to keep most of the players involved-- have Curry create some shots, go to Lee and Bogut in the post, kick out to an open Klay, Rush, or Curry when opportunity presents, and drive the lane and finish methodically with Klay or Rush if they can get the first step on their defender with a pump fake. Should probably call a lot more plays but I try to keep it believable. Sim-lite?

The replays and the camera angles are awesome too.
