wow Full game. is you guys going to show some features like Shoe maker?
But man CAN't WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's already here dude. clic (advance to around the 20 minutes mark)
Great: Best gameplay video by far. Didn't see too much of the weird sliding in other videos, and a lot of the little animations-- walkup, looking back at the ref, Perkin's pick-- looked fantastic. Where as other videos showed some inappropriate passing animations, this one suprised me by a few new ones that kicked in appropriately. Game actually looks like it might feel very good to play.
Bad: I REALLY don't like that there's an equalizer volume bar graphic every time the scoreboard changes. I don't like Jay-Z adding mics to the wipes but I can deal with them. Having Jay-Z's "fingerprints" on the scoreboard for every bucket is just in your face and obnoxious. If you're going to mess with presentation and try to "innovate", leave the scoreboard alone. That's the *one* thing you want to get as close to broadcast as possible, or else it's just an eyesore for anyone who wants their games to look like what they see on TV (and who really doesn't)?
Halftime show graphics weren't terrible but aren't as nice as 2K12's.
Sad: Durant's face looks TERRIBLE. He looks like Winnie the Pooh. How did 2K manage to mess up the face of their cover athelete? He's this year's Chris Paul.
No sweat after all. Maybe my imagination but the waxy glow looked a little stronger in the 4th quarter, but it doesn't look anything like the great sweat effects of 2K7? to 2K11.
ROFL! So true!
They should have kept last years, much better and detailed than this monstrosity.
I've only mostly seen the Team USA video and I agree Durants face is just awful. In 2k12 it was as well and 2k11 was perfect. Even 2K cyberfacing probably couldn't get it right haha. I bet Durant must be like WTF is up with that that doesn't look like me. Even Anthony Davis's unibrow is probably better then Durant.
like what i saw for the most part. more explosive acceleration, quicker movements overall. players felt like explosive athletes, which is something you didn't feel in 2k12. dunk and layup animations looked much better (quicker, without the annoying stopping 2-footed gathers from 2k12).
my only complaint is there were still a couple of layup and dunk animations that allowed the ball handler to just plow through the paint with no contact...but it seemed pretty minor and not as drastic as 2k12's lack of contact inside.
My favorite parts of the video were the fact that Kevin Durant's shot actually looks...like his shot, and the smooooooooth James Harden and 1 replay. That was JUST like the replays on the broadcast. Felt more like a cut scene of an action game then what we are use to(that's a compliment).
Just watching the replay now. Almost everything looks better than 2k12, which I still play to this day even though it has some problems. Oct. 2nd can't come soon enough.
Haven't been reading but no love for how quick picks come?
Yeah you're right. That's something I have been wanting for years. Picks where so slow to be set and then they needed to be set for a good second or it was a an illegal screen foul. Am glad we haven't seen illegal screen foul because it was actually pretty unrealistic in previous 2K's. It was slowing down the pick'n'roll game for no reason.
So yeah, feel pretty good about it. I see loads of positive in that video. I'am very happy and excited.
That Collison was able to block a 3pt attempt really got me jacked. As well as Durant's layup in heavy traffic and the block foul. The ball was blocked, but the foul was the contact down below. Very nice. Just wish the camera wouldn't keep cutting away from the action. They put a PiP in the top right corner, did we really need to see their names every couple minutes? A simple text graphic would've sufficed, saying which person was controlling who and their names.
